    Vehicle manufacturers such as Vauxhall used to install LPG systems into a certain number of their models as standard up until a few years ago. They don't do it so much these days in order to reduce production costs. It's a shame because LPG is a cleaner fuel and helps towards reducing the rate of petrol consumption. Any reduction in petrol consumption is still beneficial for the environment compared to no reduction at all.

    I don’t understand why so few do this, I’ve been running my 3.6 V8 jag for 5 years no probs, just went away for the weekend averaging 70mpg with the foot down the whole way over hundreds of miles, normally I’m getting 50mpg average, 52p a litre, why not do it? you can’t tell if my car is on petrol or lpg, no difference

      And so much cleaner. Lack of advertising, no support from government , and people in UK are lazy and most think that they have money for everything. They prefer take car for monthly payments and burn expensive petrol or diesel.stupid really. Also government was pushing for using diesels for so many years poisoning people in the cities. Unbelievable. I am converting my car this week. Finger's cross it will work out well.

    If you want economy look no further than Skoda Fabia Greenline edition or the 1.2L Seat Ibiza ecomotive - 750 miles on 45L of diesel giving around 75mpg. 750 miles for £50 worth of diesel is incredible. That being said, your 0-60 is 15 seconds and if you're saving on economy you can add another 5 seconds to that 0-60 time!!!

      True that’s better but 0-60 in 15 secs that’s just depressing man, I was getting 0-60 in 7.2 of luxury with the refined V8 sounding like an symphony, damm I miss that car

    There are no cons of LPG conversion

    • @roberts9448
      @roberts9448 10 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      No true, if you're going to keep the car, in 5 years time the seals will wear prematurely because LPG is dry substance compared to regular gasoline which has additives.

      Well reduced space in the back, faster wear on the engine and lesser LPG fueling stations, sensible reduced horse power and that smell is surely not environmentaly friendly so yeah no cons at all....

    • @encodersofia
      @encodersofia 10 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Ok i agree about the space in the back, number of fueling stations depends on country, not sure about engine wear. I am driving my car using LPG injection four years now. Twice cheaper than on petrol. I think it is worth the compromise

      Well that depends on the car... Of course if you don't care about the potential excessive wear as you already have the car on your way out and if you use it on a daily commute that you have a good LPG fuelling network, yeah you might minize your running costs... but as an only family car and a brand new car not for most of the people...
