Hey everyone! Welcome back to the channel!! Thanks for waiting for this weeks upload, last week I was sick with a lung infection so I couldn’t get anything filmed and edited in time :( With that in mind though, I just want to give you guys a heads up that I had filmed this video when I was still relatively sick so if you notice that I sound congested and seem a little low energy, that would be why! I swear I wasn't getting choked up over the video topic lmao.
Today I thought we could look at a family channel run by the prince family considering the past few weeks have been.... interesting for them to say the least. I initially found out about the situation through Twitter a bit ago but because I had been sick I was only able to actually make a video about it now! I know right now the spotlight is on the ace family because of the restaurant video (…lmao) but even considering all the stuff they’ve done I genuinely think the prince family has been able to snag their title as the worst family on youtube because their channel is just... a lot to unpack. So today we’ll be exploring their channel and trying to wrap our heads around the concept of family channels in general as well as why they are so popular. Of course beyond that I just really want to watch these videos for myself to see why people find them so entertaining considering they pull in an insane amount of views. I wish these two were called out sooner. I used to watch them. Damien exploited his brother's disappearance and death for views. He made a video saying his brother was on a boat and disappeared so they needed help finding him. Okay, fine. The next day, he posts a video of the police pulling his brother's body out of the water. Then a funeral video after that. All monetized, I believe.

I have a little cousin who is sadly going through the same thing. She’s only 6, and when my aunt came to visit me recently she told me about how my cousin said that she wished she had my skin tone (I’m half Jamaican and half Scottish so my skin is paler than most mixed people’s) because another little girl at her school picks on her for being the only dark skinned girl in their class. I know for a fact that it would’ve made her feel a bit better to see a comment like this so I had to thank you. You’re doing gods work my friend! :)

@@StClyde i am so sorry for what your cousin has to go through. i had the same mindset as her when i was younger, the self-hatred may never completely go away but continue to show her that your skin tone doesn't dictate whether or not you are beautiful. it"s how you act and treat others that determines how beautiful someone truly is. surround her with people who encourage her to love who she is and show her famous women who are dark skin and thriving. that may not help everyone but i know that helped me a lot when my self confidence wasn't the best.

I always hated my skin as a child and my older brother who's darker than me and our sister was always made fun of even within the family which was fucked up. Names like "blacky" or that he should stay inside or else he'd get darker. Colorism is all too real.

In theory a family channel could be a nice way to record events and memories. But the most of the family channels on here like you said seem to only care about views.

No. Parents shouldn't be plastering their kids all over public social media. If you want to use it as a photo album, use privacy settings. If you don't, you're exploiting your children, period. Whether it's for money, or just a few likes from strangers on IG. There's zero reason for any parent to post public images, videos of their children at all. Speak to any police officer who's worked in domestic crimes, ask them where convicted ped0s get their stashes of images...social media. I had a prof who was a cop, mentioned this to us while discussing something - i've never forgotten and tell everyone to USE PRIVACY SETTINGS WITH CHILDRENS PHOTOS AT ALL TIMES.

Colourism, and the way lighter skinned poc are fawned upon, and seen as being a 'more acceptable' or 'more beautiful' version of dark-skinned people of colour, is a huge issue within the community, and one that tends to fly under the radar. Shitty actions by mixed and light-skinned people tend to be excused with "oh but they're part black, so it's okay." It is NOT.

Why is darker seen as bad? I think that darker skin is just gorgeous. It just makes no sense to me why melanin is ever used to indicate a person's worth or who is better than another.
It's like the natural hair movement. It's good up until 4c or even sometimes 4b hair. It's disgusting, especially how people responded to H&M. I saw no problem with it but many black people got mad that her edges weren't laid and that she didn't have any moisturizer even though 4c hair doesn't shine, it just absorbs. That made me so mad!

Omg I’m sorry I’m back lol. So basically they were crazy disruptive. Loud music all day and night, constant screaming (I assume while filming their...”pranks”) and fireworks YEAR ROUND.
My family and multiple other neighbors called the police on them so many times but it never did any good because our cops here basically just don’t care.
One time though, they set off fireworks and they landed in our other neighbors pool. He went over and confronted them and him and the dad got into a full blown fist fight, which was lovely to watch.
They constantly would peel in the neighborhood with their sports cars going fast as hell, which is super dangerous because there’s a lot of kids in this neighborhood.
They also don’t control their kids at all. Their oldest son was so badly behaved and would be in other people’s yards doing the most. Which of course I don’t fault him for, he’s just a kid. But they never stopped him or disciplined him. I went and (nicely) told him not to play in the street more than once because I was afraid he’d get hit.
I really feel badly for their babies having to grow up in such a chaotic, loud environment. It’s really sad.
Oh and the parents would also constantly be getting into screaming matches outside. Idk if they were for videos or legit but it was so messy
