I won't say I invented this technique, as I'm sure it's been done many times before, but my iteration of it I like to call the "Time to borrow Arne & Carlos to do the hard parts" technique.
EDIT: You guys make such a great team. Arne's knitting is easy to follow, and Carlos, you're a damned fine teacher. This was so easy to understand, even I can manage it (and I have a ball of kid silk to practice with). I think I'll hang on to my "BAC-card" for now.
This technique of using white kid silk as snow could make a pretty cool-looking Christmas stocking!
Thank you, Arne & Carlos, for sharing this trick with us!

Years ago, I used to mix 2 similar yarns together to give a fleck type pattern which worked well. So I have only just discovered that basically I was doing the layering technique, but all over! So amazing.

Wow - this is a cool idea to inlay patterns while knitting the contrast-color the same stitch together with the main-color.
I do a lot of icelandic-knitting and there is a good way of knitting plötulopi and einband as contrast in one way.
Thank you so much, Arne and Carlos for explaining how it works.
Have a wonderful sunday overthere in Norway. (((-:

As always, I m inspired by your attitude that 'it's doable'. One thing Ive learned watching you is that there is no 'ONE WAY ONLY' . I am uplifted each time. Thanks guys. x

Thank you so much for this tutorial! It’s much easier than I thought it would be. I was able to meet you and purchase this book at Knit City so I’m all set to try the the hat first then one of the sweaters. They are so beautiful!

I already hit the like button while the video started. I look so forward to all your videos! Colorwork is intimidating somewhat but I will try this technique for sure. I can see stepping my toes in it with a hat to start off. Take care!

Thank you. Dont worry about replying, as you requested, via your website. This explains colour work theoretically.
