Thank you! This explains a lot. It seems hard but when explained it isn't that hard to do. Arne, your sweater is still beautiful even with it not being even. I would still wear it if it fits. It still keeps you warm. Most people would not notice the difference unless they look hard for a mistake. It's made to be worn and is still a work of art. :) j

I would like to have you continue this video with describing how to follow the chart while increasing stitches on the sleeve.

My goodness I couldn't even see any mistake on that sweater til they pointed it out! It has beautiful stitch definition! Such perfectionists 😉 btw wish I was still the same size from when I was 12/13😂 sweater looks like it would still fit!

I am learning so much from you! I adore your quality standars and perfectionism. And yet it was nice to hear Arne made a mistake. It helps me take kniting in a more relaxing way. If Arne can make a mistake, then I do not have to be so hard on myself when I make a mistake in my knitting. Thank you Arne.

Every mistake is a part of learning, just knit and relax.

Thank you! I wish I knew of a way to convert these to crochet...I'm a beginner knitter who's intimated and need more practice...knit & purl is all I know for now. I watch your videos because I love your work, connection with one another, and you're exceptional teachers.

charts scare me. I have never used a multi colored chart. I have just used very simple charts usually for simple lace. I don't know if I'll ever have the courage to work with multiple colors or try to use a chart like that. It is interesting that Arnie isn't going to wear that beautiful sweater. I'm sure no one would notice that the pattern isn't centered. I know, I wouldn't have noticed. I am thoroughly impressed that Arnie was so young when he knit it and without a pattern!

Thank you both for taking the time to explain this to us!
I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on following a pattern chart reading actual 'stitches'. I found a pattern and am confused by the symbols used on the chart (one color knitting).
    Thank you for your consideration!

I am not sure which video it was. I am binge watching now. But who ever said Arne shouldnt laugh is a horrible person. And very wrong. Arne should laugh more and say more funny things or what ever he feels like saying. I would like to hear even more from him. I love all the videos. Thank you both so much!

I love you both so much! I am making your "easiest sock in the world" pattern with your sock yarn ("fall nights"!) and loving it. Can you please post that pattern on Ravelry so I can link to it? I think it would be fun to see all the socks made with that pattern but we can't do that unless you post the pattern. Do you know what I mean?
Your yarn is beautiful. I have "summer nights" and "iris" next to knit and can not wait.
Also - your english is beautiful - but in this video when you say "report" - I think you meant "repeat" - meaning a set number of stitches that will repeat the pattern as you go around the sweater?
Enjoying your videos so much! :)
