- For years Playstation has had the games, partnerships and exclusives...but now Xbox is ready to make its comeback, and it won't be alone.

This one took me far too long, but saw many folks asking for it to be updated after everything that's happened the past year so here we go!
EXCLUSIVITY... This was in response to Microsoft announced acquiring Activision/Blizzard. The idea was Playstation became the dominant force last generation and now Xbox has reinforcements with more IPs and Studios to their side to make a more exciting and competitive Gen this time. These IP's have not been confirmed to be exclusive moving forward and probably won't be since Xbox cares more about building a platform for consumers than for a specific system. Once the deal goes through all of their publishers will be launching day/date on Game Pass which will cause decision making on where folks play games.

One thing I find that fits pretty well is that you have Cap as Halo, and T'Challa as COD. In Civil War, they were enemies, fighting each other.
Now, they're part of the same team.
Thor is Gears of War, War Machine is Doom and Doctor Strange is World of Warcraft.

@Jedii Kniight which? I only see God of war and Spiderman. Other are okay nothing special. That’s coming from guy that used to have ps4 and now has xbox and pc. What can compare to stuff like Skyrim , fallout, doom , cod , Halo and forza. Yeah most of them are not out yet but they will be in future and if they want to compete they need to produce something on God of war level.
@Jedii Kniight Tlou got ruined by poor story telling thanks to Cuckman. God of War is on PC, Little Big Planet is dead, Spiderman is all they have and Wolverine is only exclusive due to Insomniac... for now that is. Sony can't afford to keep these things purely console exclusive in the long run which is why they're starting to share launches with PC.

Man, even as someone who's been exclusively Nintendo/Sony his entire life, this put a huge smile on my face. The more Sony and Microsoft compete, the more we all win. Hell, I'm saving up for a Series S and couldn't be more excited.

@@sonof7yoshis if you pay $1500 for a pc just a bit more powerful rhan current console, thats the biggest W, becuase with all sony exclusive eventually coming and Microsoft games with game pass, you can also use mods and do crazy stuff only available on pc, besides, if you get good enough, u can even try games for free by downloading from repacks or whatever those are, you can download a game to see if it is good then buy the real one for updates and online content and to support them
Even as a strict PlayStation fan I got to give this a thumbs up. This was very well done. This generation should be very interesting. I look forward to seeing what exclusives Microsoft will have the studios working on. Competition is a good thing forces all parties to bring their A game.

As die hard Halo fan, this made me happy...Love my Xbox....no hate on PS as I owned a PS1, PSP, a Vita and even a PS2....and I still love God Of War and Tekken and Gran Tourismo....but Halo and Xbox is where I grew up...

I'm happy with the setup portion building up to the portal scene cuz I didn't have that when I did it years ago and it made it seem like I was trying to paint Playstation as the bad guy or something, but I more so wanted to communicate how they've been dominating and Xbox FINALLY can put up a fight now having more than just Halo.

But I think the argument most people try to make is that Playstation games are only legitimately playable on a Playstation console, except for a select few like Horizon: Zero Dawn and most recently God of War 4. Every Xbox One exclusive, you can play on PC, so other than not being able to afford a good PC, why would people want to buy an Xbox console?

Man, to see the struggling trio (Halo, Forza, GoW) being relieved to see support arrive brings a tear to my eye. I remember getting my first Xbox and these 3 games were the only ones I can tell were Xbox's pillars.

I been looking at Azure Cloud for some time, as its used in enterprise cloud solutions a lot.
I was surprised to learn Microsoft is building tools specifically for game devs within Gamepass and multiplayer games. Since Gamepass is backed by Azure, this might be something to pay attention to.
Microsoft might not be able to beat AWS as a cloud provider, the divide is immense. But if they use their own platform to the fullest they won't have to. They'll have what GCP does not, so they can maintain a powerful second position for years to come.
I hope they don't fuck it up. I really like the tight integration strategy they are going for.

@@stuntbounce I think it’s really good. They did good with the campaign. But it is in a spot where because it is a F2P game most of the cosmetics need money to acquire. And most of said cosmetics are incredibly overpriced. 7 dollars for a helmet, and you Can only buy 10 dollars are worth of credits. Plus they didn’t hit the mark with the amount of modes. But the few that are there are a lot of fun. They are also adding more modes so that should be fine.

What got me the most was seeing Call of Duty. If you went back in time during the 7th gen of gaming and told anyone that one day, you'd see CoD and Halo united, they'd see you as a total lunatic. The CoD v. Halo rivalry was the most toxic and brutal rivalry back then only behind Nintendo v. Sega war of the 90s. This 9th gen battle is gonna be one for the ages!

@@takeyourheart114 both of those game "died" years ago however crash bandicoot did kind of have a comeback but the racer game was filled with microtransactions and the platformer was a remaster.
I feel like game pass is really the future of Xbox. Really hard to find a better deal, and being able to play games day one from so many AAA developers day one is really incredible. Also playstation is very limited to just the console, and now game pass is for pc, Xbox, and you can stream games to your phone. I really think game pass is the reason Xbox will beat playstation.
I’m not sure what the future holds but Xbox are definitely holding their own right now and even as a PS user, I’m all for it
Xbox still needs to match them in quality games.
