      Hi,
If this reel are the same New model i'll find on Ali..it's a really interesting reel on paper...
Do you're reel have a new system braking for spool we never see on other Ali bfs reel? Spool weigt 9.2 gr and is shaft are not long? About 55 dollars ?
I have command this reel to make review on FB page for French peoples...
I think this reel are new on Ali, cause i never see it before.
I will make battle with the XF 51, the Steed 51 white model and old version of Scorpion 1001 (Avail bfs spool+ micro bfs bearings find on Ali). Will see if good or not.
Good test and pass a good day. (and sorry for this bad english...i'm french 😁)

Excellent information on bait fineness rods. Buying a branded model is the only way to find out how less costly rods and reels compare to premium models. The only advantages premium rods and reels provide are warrantees. Most premium rods and reels with lifetime replacement warrantees cost $300 to $800 dollars. The return cost of shipping and the deductible can be $100 dollars alone. If it is determined you damaged the rod or reel from abuse they will repair it for a tidy fee. When you think about it this way, owning the best is less important. The Stream Angler rod’s reel seat has an exposed blank for a reason. The idea of this is to provide added contact to the blank for increased sensitivity. There are no exact standards for rods, because the rod builder sets their own. The only test is casting one in the hopes it performs to your desire. Exceptionally smooth casting rods load thru the bank not just the tip. Long rods most often cast further than short rods with proper backbone or spine to lure weight. Small light baits have limits no matter how well they cast. Trout Magnets, Trout Slayers, and tiny jigs catch lots of fish used in their niches. However, their weight is also their demise. Fishing fast deep moving water they never get down to the fish without adding weight. They are difficult to cast accurately on any type of tackle and their hooks are weak. I have landed numerous Steel Head in the seven-pound range using Trout Slayers and 4-pound line. Tungsten jigs and stout hooks increased my odds for success. Light wire treble hooks on small hard baits are inadequate for landing large fish. Single in line hooks land more big fish on light line because there able to withstand long battles with trophy size fish and not pull free. The true test of an ultra-light outfit is hooking and landing both large and small fish. Casting lures is one part; power and durability are equally important.

Got mine paired up with the zephyr. Skating on some ceramic micro bearings.... The ultra light is super easy to detect light trout bites. I used to have a super sluggish 7 foot ultralight. I would get bites and not even feel them cause the tip would absorb the bite.

There's currently a promo on this rod if you buy it with just the UL tip and no L action tip. I already bought one for my brother but ended up ordering another two. I have one in spinning configurationon the way I'll be rewrapping into an acid wrap. They are really nice little rods regardless of price.

Idk why the plastic cork protector bothers people..it's on 5 of my bait casters that has cork and keeps the cork looking new...it doesn't change anything on how the rod performs or how it feels. After a few casts i don't pay any attention to it.

I use U40 corkseal. It it a coating you apply to cork. It soaks in and seals it. The cork will not stain near as easy and cleans off with a quick wipe. This is something untreated cork cannot do.
Durability seems to be the same. The color will darken just a shade or two.
One container isnless than $10 and will last dozens of rods.
On a side note: The plastic does actually give a good grip.

I'm not sure if you can, however on the basis of what you know from using the baitcaster version of this rod, would you also recommend the spinning version of the rod too. I use SUL soft plastics throwing weights between 0.5 and no heavier than 2 grams. I am waiting on delivery of a SUL Kuying Teton rod from Ali Express, however I was wondering if the 602 Ace Hawk spinning rod would also make a good alternative rod. Many thanks in advance

Good stuff. I wonder how that setup can handle a 'bass assassin tiny shad' 1.5" plastic, on a#6 aberdeen hook. On vacation, I was throwing this with the scorpion BFS + 4'6" shakespeare micro series UL. I wasn't able to cast it well, really far, but I could still cast it far enough to catch a bunch of bluegills, and small bass. Maybe it would cast better on a longer rod, with a better bend. That plastic is a lot beefer, and thicc, than the trout magnet, and on that aberdeen hook, it sinks really slow. Very handy for keeping it in front of a fishes face when they are lazy or derped. Hours ago I hit the lake in the kayak, and nailed a mixed bag of panfish, and a little bass. That scorpion BFS is so slick, and is very handy for landing baits under overhanging branches, on that cheap micro series rod. Maybe I should get another one of those rods. The new ones are blue instead of gray.

    • @THEREELTEST
      @THEREELTEST  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

sgtpavlov if that hook and plastic weighs around 1 gram or more total then it should be ok. Of course the reel will matter alot too. Next 2 vids should be great for all the budget BFS guys!

I can cast around 7-8 grams with the UL tip (!?) with ease to a good distance, the L tip performs worse the 6-8g range, on the other hand no problems getting lures out with like 10g on the L tip. wtf am I missing :)

Have you checked if the wrapping on the bottom is real or fake ?
I have another bfs chinesium rod, and watching carefully you can clearly see that is just a sticker, you can see the cut not being aligned.
For the price, they are nice rods nonetheless. But only for little treble hooks bait or wacky sight fishing, without covers.

I saw some with the same condition as you mentioned, it's pretty bad when they market it and claimed it taped wrapped.

Idiocy starts at 4:45. Your knowledge of why some casting rod grips have a cutout where the rod blank is exposed, either on top so the reel is in direct contact with the blank or on the bottom like you were showing, is limited (read: you didn't do your research before posting this.) It's there on better rods because when you are reeling in and have your fingers along the bottom of the grip, they are in DIRECT contact with the previously mentioned rod blank, which gives you MUCH more sensitivity to what is happening at the end of your line. This means that once you learn what things feel like during various casts, you can feel what kind of bottom you're on, or when a fish truly bites and not just tasting or testing the lure.
Please stop calling a feature of Fuju "ACS" Blank exposed rod grips that are there for a reason a negative on a rod, it makes you seem like you have zero idea of what you're making videos about. Also, the one without the cutout is Fuji "style" as you said so it's a chinese knockoff and they're making money off of fuji's R&D for the look but not doing the ONE thing that makes those style grips unique.

C'mon man. Kuying is a respected brand and you just bash it like it's trash. I've been using kuying for quite sometime and it really is a quality rod.
Just because of its handle you straight up put it as 'janky'. Besides, if you're using it for finesse, you're more likely to palm your reel anyway, so why bother with the short handle?
P/S: that gap you're referring to is for feeling the sensitive nibble when you're finesse fishing. It is the rod blank without the reel seat cushion-ing the blank, thus enhancing every nibble at the end of your line.
