How does this compare to the Tatula sw 80 with the gomexus spool upgrade? I'm about to pull the trigger on the 80 with gomexus spool because I can still get out of it $100AUD cheaper than the 70
I can't say as I don't own a Tatula SV TW 80 with a gomexus spool! I did a cast testing session on an UL setup and returned it to the owner and gifted the spool to the nice gentleman who sent me the reel for testing. I should have tested it on a L rod if I knew a Tatula bf70 was coming.
But the Tatula BF 70 will shine on a L or ML rod and have some UL capabilities. Comes with micro bearings while Tatula 80 does not. So the two would behave differently... But unfortunately I have no further details or comparison!
I don't think there's anything you don't have that's BFS😂. I definitely need to try it. I love micro and ultralight fishing. But I've only done that on spinning gear.

Jimbo brother I think that I would like to get my hands on that reel. I have a question for you. I have warped my spool on my Zephyr. I was wondering if you had any of the old parts from yours laying around that you may consider selling. I’ve asked KK and they will not sell me a spool and bearings.

Unfortunately I will keep mine as the ones I have gotten are very memorable... First zephyr ever and first zephyr with clicker. So I won't be able to help u there :(.
@@rawrfishing I thought that I was setting the hook into a very large bass and needless to say I swung into it like I was hitting a baseball. I did not even think about the fact that I had a very light spool in my hands. Now that I am more used to BFS fishing setting the hook is very different for me now. I would hate to mess up a Gekkibijin spool.
mono is a dangerous line for BFS. especially the thinner ones. people don't realize how much they stretch. and with too much line spooled on, it can just keep adding pressure onto the spool. Like rubberbands and water melon. 1 or two bands won't do anything, but as you add more... eventually it will do something.... KABOOM!
All UL BFS reels should use PE! especially thin spools like the Alphas series (including the PE Special Gekkabijin) and all after market spools for UL like Roro

How does compare to the PX BF70 BFS
I don't own that reel, but that should cast lighter since it sports the AATW spool. it's a 28mm spool too, smaller than this. I own the AATW and Gekkabijin and i love those reels. I would choose the PX BF70 over the Tatula BF70 for the UL stuff if I need to cast UL all day
But maybe i should get it soon for some content :)
How does tsurinoya genius compare to the dark wolf 🐺 for a budget beginner BFS
Both reels are similar, but Dwu will be easier to cast lighter lures, just a bit! Ark Gravity bfs reel would be better
How does it compare to the ARK BFS for sub 1gm
I can cast a TM on the ark. Full cast testing video is available if you want to see how well. For this reel, as you can see.. It's not a SUL reel
I'm surprise that THE REEL TEST didn't bother to talk about this or do any unboxing of this reel or the PX BF, i guess it's really not the popular; just saying 😅
They are just now shipping. I ordered 1 each at the Dealer show in January. Mine haven't arrived yet... Reel Test was the first to announce it from my message to him. 🍺🎣
@@ShaneJMcNair yes he did mention regards to the Daiwa announcement, but surprisingly i haven't see him any unboxing any the reel, anyway maybe it's behind schedule to those ordered and probably it's delay
I haven't watch any of his videos without the product as I am Not a fan of speculation videos.
Perhaps they are coming soon! The reel test is another guy who did a lot for the bfs niche and I am sure he will have one. Not many stores had these reels... So potentially he is waiting from some place to have it. I am too poor to get both reels at the same time lol... So maybe px later this month early next month... But that's fishing time!

how does it compare to the shimano alderbaran?
Alde bfs 22 can go lighter out of the box. But this reel would likely out cast it for heavier lures. Overall, brakes on this reel is stronger and more consistent than Aldebaran 22. I prefer Daiwa!

When it comes to BFS fishing, I go by what lure weight ranges I throw to catch fish.
Trout: I often throw 1 gram lowest to 3 grams and sometimes a bit more, no more than 5 grams, thus I like an UL setup. I have loved my all my daiwa reels with the Roro spool upgrades as they all can go lower than 1 gram, making 1 gram easy to cast. But, my favorite reel out of the box for UL lately is the Ark Gravity BFS reel, Out of the box, it can do half a gram with the proper amount of line spooled on. Its insane for the price point!
Crappies: I often throw 2.25 grams and up, So i prefer a Light tackle rod over UL as I often fish off the kayak or from the bank with longer rods. That said, I like a slightly larger and heavier spool so i can achieve a bit more distance. So that Tatula BF70, Loongze Airlite BFS been lovely, but the Ark Gravity BFS been amazing as well on a L rod, even tho it got a 28mm spool.
I am not fond of Shimano BFS reels since they went to the 28mm spools. many reels out perform them! I am glad I own a 2016 one with the larger spool!

No.. This isn't. the PXBF70 is. This is a variant similar to the Salamandura air tw... But better for US fishermen

Gonna dig out the stock spool of the satw and play with it again. Sick at the moment, but I wanna refresher before I do a comparison video between this and the satw!
How does it compare to Gekabijin?
@@parfume4 they got different size spools and are used for different things. This is an all rounder reel where as the alphas air variants are pretty much UL and so the gekka can throw lighter out of the box
