    Someone should actually make a clip with the Radio Ga-Ga song on top of the clip lol

    Pretty ridiculous, robbed of a good race there. I understand limiting radio transmissions but when your car is failing your engineers should be able to tell you what to do to fix it. How is he supposed to know that?

    • @hristoitchov
      @hristoitchov 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The drivers are supposed to know how to set their steering wheel options. Lauda said Rosberg had the same wrong settings and sorted it out quicker than Hamilton, so that's that.

      +hristoitchov nico changed the switch that caused the problem whereas lewis setting was alr made wrong by the team before the start of the race. So basically nico knew switch it was and just switched it back while lewis had to figure it all by himself.

      I watched all interviews and nobody said it was the team that did it. Care to link your source?

      OK, so it's not that Hamilton was changed by the team and Rosberg did it himself, both drivers do it themselves, the team doesn't touch their steering wheels, it's just that in the Friday practice the changes to Hamilton's settings were made earlier than Rosberg's, so he had to do more tweaks to get back to the right settings.

    I sometimes wonder if rosberg's dad payed the mechanics to fuck with hamilton's car....would rosberg be winning if hamilton's car wasn't messing up as it is?

      What about monaco and canada?
      P.S- Rosberg had exactly the same problem, but he fixed it.

    • @UltimateHaiz
      @UltimateHaiz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was because the team made the wrong switch for lewis before the race. Whereas for nico, he himself made the wrong switch. So lewis would obviously wouldnt know

    • @edgarlima8741
      @edgarlima8741 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      UltimateHaiz Why did Nico made the switch himself? Couldn't Hamilton do it too?

    For peeps saying... "Nico is smarter because he changed his." Nico changed the setting himself, so he knew what to change back! As for Lewis... his setting was changed before he got in the car, so he didn't know what was originally changed. Mercedes sabotaging his car and race. Prove me wrong.

    Maybe Lewis should party less and read the instruction manual :P Nico fixed it much much quicker.
    At the same time Mercedes should not make things this complicated for drives. HPP with I don't know how many settings... Wasn't there anybody in the team that thought "Maybe we should not make things this complex with menus and sub menus". After all, they are doing 200+ mph while navigating through these settings menus :X

      Like how Nico started Spain in the wrong mode then pushed Hamilton off the track when his car was going way too slow because of it?

      And he got the penalty...so nothing unfair happened.

    • @JonnyFellOver
      @JonnyFellOver 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are two completely different scenarios.
      Hamilton's incorrect settings caused the car to be slower.
      Rosberg's Incident was an issue with the gearbox, had the message not gone through the gearbox would have been destroyed.
      That is the key difference here, one incident reduces car performance, the other destroys car parts. Under the rules at the time, messages that would prevent damage to the car were allowed - conversely, messages relating to car performance (more optimal settings, driver coaching) were outlawed.
      So the initial message to Rosberg, fixing the problem, was legal - the following comment telling him to "shift through 7th gear" was not, hence the penalty.
      Regardless, those rules were stupid, and I'm glad they're gone.

    • @Jejking
      @Jejking 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** For the sake of argument, why is telling Rosberg to shift through 7th illegal? If he had continued doing that, he would have blown it to pieces so it was critical information about the state of his car. Or do you think 'shift through 7th' is a solution they couldn't have sent to him?

    • @JonnyFellOver
      @JonnyFellOver 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He was penalised because the messages were considered "Driver coaching" essentially telling the driver how to drive the car. Typically, that consists of messages like "take turn 3 faster" or whatever... That was what they were trying to outlaw.
      If I remember correctly, the steward's reasoning for the penalty was:
      Message telling Rosberg to change settings - OK
      Message telling Rosberg to avoid 7th gear - OK
      Message telling Rosberg to "shift through 7th" - Penalty...
      I honestly don't know what the FIA thought they'd achieve with this rule.

    • @BETAsin
      @BETAsin 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not really, apparently they had different settings when they started the race. Rosberg changed his mid race, had the problem, then changed it back.
