You fulfilled my wish by included various types of audio amplifier board on one platform with different ICs! Keep it up your updated works with promise to include some left out amplifier board with the likes of TDA, TPA, TAS and LM ranges in future!
In my opinion a bad review, because of using speakers without housing. This gives a bad impression!
Using speakers without a baffle is probably the second best way of blowing them up. The best way by far is wiring them directly across the power supply. I'm actually quite surprised I didn't see this happen in the video.
Thanks for making this vid, I've tested the TDA7297 module and it sounds surprisingly good and loud with low distortion
I think he should redo this and use 12V 2A on the 7297.
How can you seriously expect to judge sound quality via such horrendously crappy 'speakers?
I am very happy this stuff is available. Young people on a budget can design a kit and power their systems.

In future, please do perform similar tests, but with the speakers in enclosures. It's almost impossible to tell how good the amp really is at driving the speaker when it is not shifting any air.

I found having to re-solder was essential. The solder on this unit deteriorates fairly quickly. The rest of the unit has worked non-stop for over 3 years, without fault.
TDA7388? Is it better than these?
You leave the viewer with the wrong impression that these are cheap bad amplifiers while in fact they are very good. TPA3116 is almost IDEAL amplifier, powerful, flat response, low noise, low distortion, compact and power efficient. You say it is unscientific review but if it was scientific you will have a hard time finding a better amplifier than TPA3116. Your problems with it are caused by you.
i think no. because he demonstrated it and we saw it. maybe that was other TPA3116. there are variety of this TPA3116.

I have tpa3116d2, 24 v plus tc and bt module...and i like it...
this is like testing sports cars by driving them around a parking lot! absolute rubbish.
Should have played "Smoke on the Module" for the first test.
Always check polarity, not everything is center positive.

On TPA3116D2, how big is you power supply for this? It could be your power supply's current limit that causes that thumping.
The Tpa3116D2 amps are great , people allways Fup on the power supplys , they put very little watts out at a 12vdc > 3 amp supply ,,, 8 0hm load needs 24vdc @ 4 amps ,, 4 ohm load needs 21vdc @ 6 amps ...
Hey it will be very helpful to know the gain on tpa3116d2 amp.it can be done by removing heatsink and checking resistors on pin 7 and pin 9,can you do that please?
Which one is mono/stereo?. Don't speak while you can not be heard. How do you connect audio in/out? Ridiculous.

im planning to buy tpa3116 2.1 channel 50w+50w+100w.. rating at 18-24volts. my question is .. i have a power supply of 19volts at 3.45amps .. would it be ok to use it with this ampere.?
It should work but probably not a maximum performance

You are supplying only (19Volts x 3 amps) 57watts to a 200watts amplifier. Use 24Volts 10Amp power supply. This can supply the amp and still doesn't sound good because those advertised max power of tpa3116 is at 10% THD.
Kim Atong adjust the gain and connect 8 ohm speakers. it will work fine
i use old laptop power supply. 19vdc running ok

use a cardboard box and fashion a makeshift speaker enclosure . something is better than nothing in this case - a lot better . love the magic smoke . the7297 is not a class d , it eats power , the tpa can work very well , i swear by those for my application which is different , but i find that issue curious as i never ran into that motorboating .

It works fine. but if the amplifier have more than 5 watt and you turn the volume up the sound will getting loud with a bad sound quality. I recommend you to but the speaker that have exactly the same power that provide by the amplifier so the sound will be great

Hey brother. Lm386 is to work max 6v dc or 7v dc max.... And 500mha at 600mha and max 700mha. And you input power supply 12v dc... Burn kkk not supor above 7v dc 700mha ok... And tda7297 is to dual 15w stéreo ... Power supply 14v 2A max. Good is 12v or 14v dc 1.2A at 1.5Aamps. Tpa3116D2 yes very good power strong with 18v dc 4A or max 22v dc 3A ok. Very high volts burn fire all amplifiers... Good vídeo tank you. You winner my like ok. Yes i like your test board amplifiers ok perfect. Caution in power supply please.

TPA3116d2 is the superior chip amp right now (in 2019). Microlab solo9c uses TPA3116d2 chip. the board you are using is crap.
