Ali, I have to tell you... I just logged my 1000th mile according to my Fitbit to finish up the year. Thankful to you for the idea and motivation to move!
I'm glad you translated the chicken speak because I would have sworn they were saying "you crazy lady, we can't eat that so why are you bothering us? " Must be the accent that had me confused! Dan, you can't lose Ali at night now, even if you want to, can you, with those wonderful lights. I'm glad she'll be safe though. Please give Lillia get well wishes from me (from a safe distance please😊), and give her my best. Hugs to you all.
Thank you so much for continuing for a few days. It's kind of a let down when all my favorite Vlogmas hostesses just stop at Christmas. I always enjoy your vlogs because they are upbeat and full of home scenes. Hope you all have a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Thank you, Ali. These vlogs mean more to me than you’ll ever know. I feel as though I know you as a friend. Cherish your family and your little wonderful life; you are blessed and much-appreciated. 💛
I’m so sorry to hear Lillia is feeling unwell. Hope she will feel better very soon💖💖 I absolutely love your chickens and how much they like to chat a cuddle. Thank you so much for watching my vlogmas. I so feel like I’m visiting with a friend when I watch yours❤️🤗
(Disclaimer: Honestly, I'm really not a lunatic. You'll see what I mean near the end of my comment.) I really enjoy watching you cook or bake. You seem to take your time getting the ingredients prepped (chopped/shredded/mixed/measured/formed) to create a dish that always looks wonderful. The other day I was making Greek meatballs, the recipe called for grated onion. I immediately thought "Who has time to grate one little onion and then have to wash that blasted grater?" Well guess what, your name popped into my head "Ali would be grating that onion" and so I grated the onion. The meatballs were exceptional and I think I'll always grate onion when making meatballs. Thank you for sharing. That shawl is beautiful.
Thank you so much Ali. Going through a very difficult time this Christmas and watching your vlogs gives me some normality. Bless you and your lovely family. xxxx
Dan eating cheese and crackers at the sink gives Harry Potter eating two slices of bread and a lump of cheese in Aunt Petunia's spotless kitchen before the Masons came to dinner. 😂 Love the Festive Throw!
To my favorite little family~I know it has been a while since I've dropped a note, but, as always, I've really enjoyed your videos. Watching you make those ewes, I'm reminded of a phrase my aunt had on her refrigerator, "Ewes not fat, ewes fluffy". Have a happy new year, I'll be here. Love to all. XX
I love it when you pop into the garden , and I'm not being rude or anything, but it's as "winter messy" as mine! All the better for the chickens to peck around, though.
The Sheep are adorable Ali, the second one definitely looks like it is wearing a JUMPER 😂 The lurgy is like that, just when you feel you can relax you get 🤒 sick! Beautiful shawl/scarf loving the rainbow colours. I was drooling 🤤 when I saw you tucking into your Thai curry, looks so good 😊 Thank you for being here ❤ Love & Hugs, Suze. 🤗🐑🥘🍛 xxx
Your Just Feel Festive Shawl is so pretty. Your yarn advent colors are perfect for that pattern! I have shawl envy. 😊 Your sheep are precious! Something so simple brings such joy! Love your night walking lights, love your impromptu vlog! Hope Lillia is feeling better!! Thanks Ali
Vlogmas has been brilliant as always Ali. Thank you for all the hard work you have put in to it. Love Dan’s little appearances because I am a fully paid up member of the Dan fan club. Noticed he snuck in a mention of his hat needing the decreases! It has been nice having a bit of Lillia - I hope she is feeling better. Love to the whole family Liz x
Thank you for carrying on! So appreciated! And those sheep! Another vlogger I follow - Just Plain Sadie - tried some needle pokery jiggery - the results Were amusing.
Love the advent shawl, the colours are gorgeous. It's 23.34pm on New Years Eve as I write this, so Happy New Year to you, Dan, Phoebe, Lilia, (not my cat) Mia and the feathered "girlies". I've enjoyed these "inbetween" vlogs. I've no idea what day it is, and the fact that it's been like Bonfire night ALL NIGHT, I've now no idea what month or season it is. 🤣🤪🤔 I'm looking forward to tomorrow's vlog. Take care, have a great night..."See" you tomorrow. 😊
Oh those sheeps! They are so cute (and professional looking as well 👍🏻). Wishing you all a beautiful and save New Year's Eve🎉 and a very good start of the new year. Hopefully Lydia will be getting better soon! Greetings Marjan 🌷
Thank you for yet another cosy vlog… I loved seeing the chickens today. Gorgeous little girls 🩷🐔Sending love and get well hugs to Lillia… some of my family have this too.. not nice. Can’t wait for the next vlog.. fingers crossed that we see your mum on New Year’s Eve…sending you all love and hugs as always from NORTHERN IRELAND 🥰🤗xoxo
The black sheep could have gold eyes and a light grey v to mark the nose to give him personality. If you put white around the eyes, it would look like it should be with Wallace and Grommit - LOL
Ha ha ha, You are as mad as I am! I open any mail and parcels in front of my birds. The love looking at whatever is in the mail. Your festive shawl is gorgeous, I have bought the pattern but not started yet as I am too busy crocheting Megan Lapp Impkins from her book of fabulous patterns.
So glad you are continuing to vlog ❤. So sad that Lillia is unwell while she is at home , but she is being looked after which is the main thing. Always love your vlogs Ali, cheers 😍👏🤗💕🥰❤️
Poor Lilia, my son had the dreaded lurgy over xmas. The chickens are looking so good. I love the sheep, so full of character and your advent project is absolutely beautiful 🤩
Hi Ali.Hope Lilla feels better soon.Goid idea about lights on your jacket at nite...Soup weather for sure..Take care b safe.Jope 2025 is good to all..❤
I really need to find the headspace to learn to crochet this year. Your crochets projects (with a side of moomin pajamas) are such an inspiration! I wish 2025 held the promise of chickens, but I fear that ship has sailed with my sheep, donkey, bunnies, crazy cat lady number of kitties, and highland coo. Please send your burst of domestic energy. Also there is no excuse for raisins in anything! Hope Lilia feels better soon!
I’ve loved catching up with you and your lovely family again this December Ali! Yours is my absolute favourite Vlogmas each year! Thank you for sharing the in-between days and I hope Lilia feels better quickly 💛
Thanks for doing these extra videos, really enjoying them! It's wonderful seeing Hannah and Martha looking so well. I can still picture what they looked like when you took them under your wing. (tee hee.) Oh, Ali, I love how your sheep turned out - I want to try that now, you uber-influencer you! Soup looks divine - a lovely warmer-upper for this time of year - except it has been weirdly warm for the past few days, +6 near Ottawa, Ontario Canada.
Poor Lilia i hope she gets better soon. The chickens are so sweet. Good idea those people lights, nice and bright. Thank you for another lovely podcast. ❤❤❤❤
I also made a Feeling Festive shawl with my Hook n Cwtch advent. I love it. Mine was 4ply and so it is quite long and I can wrap it around twice. Thanks for the in-between vlogs.
Love your scarf and I love that you're chickens admire it as well. Love the in between day videos. ❤ I made a list of vlogmases I should send your way. It's almost two pages full of things to watch! But yours and knitry natty were the two I kept up on this year. Now I am watching Toby knits.
Beautiful scarf! I have advent minis from last Christmas I can use to make one. But, with this year's advent yarn, I’m considering making a mitered squares blanket. As a learning knitter it may be a challenge. Have you knitted any mitered squares, Ali? Thank you so much for sharing another year with us. 🥰🧶 (P.S. I’ve finished the heel and gusset on my first sock!! I’m in the home stretch! Must finish TODAY. Last day of 2023.)
In the states we have a product called damprid. It may help in your closet. It comes in several ways. My favorite is where you can hang it and the moisture collects in a bag. It makes everything smell really fresh as well.
I hope Lillia gets well soon ❤️ Me and my family were all struck down with this virus through Christmas and until now. It wasn’t covid, but just as nasty. It’s my first day without a temperature, but still feeling rather awful 😅 it was so nice to see the chickens 😍
Have loved seeing you through december every day, hope Lilia will fel beter soon. Always love seeing the chickens they are so happy living with you. Best wishes for you all for the New Year xxx❤
❤ Love the shawl...need to start one too now lol!! You have inspired me 😊 The new podcaster you showed at the start, can you tell us the channel name please? I'd love to take a look. Give Lilia a hug for me and I hope she feels better 💗 very soon. The chooks are always a joy to see, thanks for including them regularly xx It's New Years Eve here in Oz... goodbye 2024 and tiptoe into 2025...and don't TOUCH anything!!! 😅
I’ve caught up with all the vlogmasses so it’s really nice that you are still doing them. I’ve had the dreaded lurgy and slowly getting better so I sympathise with Lilia 😊
Ali,,,,,❤❤love ur shawl,,,,so so much ,,,,those colors,,,,, I am going to get it on my hook,,,,!!!! Love the playful knitter,,too,,,, Hugs to Lilia ,,,,,😢 Elaine ❤️🏠
I’m really enjoying the betwixtmas videos so thank you. Sorry Lilia is feeling a bit under the weather! There are lots of bugs about. Wish our Starbucks did the leftover bags! X
Hi Ali, loved having your company all December ❤. I really miss you all when you're not vlogging! Quick question-do you record and count your walks separately from your daily step count for the 1000 mile challenge? I'm thinking I'll join you in 2025 and trying to work out the best way to keep track. I do have a secret weapon to help me though, I have 6 dogs 😂😂😂. Happy New Year to you, Dan and the girls when it comes xx🎉
Poor Lilia. Why does one always get sick as soon as you're on holidays!? Peggy's looking very posh in her new plumage! I do think Martha might have been thinking "is it food?, why food coloured (colour looked like corn/sweet corn - never know if i have to specify as in South Africa maize is mostly white) if not food?
Do you watch Emma Robinson? She's behind Woolly Mammoth Fibre and she dyes wool in Ireland. Her channel is lovely and I think you'd like her! And thank you for such a cozy vlogmas 2024!
