    You're really the alignment pro now, really enjoy that kind of content.
    Nice car, also!

    I've got the same car and found this video searching for DC5 suspension on youtube - my car is extremely bouncy and it is reassursing to see yours is too - the videos of you driving it are what mine feels like, its hard to drive at part-throttle on those sort of roads because its so bouncy!

    Had a fast road alignment done in my 04 EP3 - differences weren’t enormous, but definitely noticeable. Worth doing…

    I thought for a minute Keving's car had a correct colour front bumper and OG wheels on it! Saw you all at Brands at the weekend, said hello from a distance like a truly weird fanboi. Great to see you boys doing what you do though, especially the Civic showing V8 supercars how it's done, impressive stuff

    Good job on the alignment, shame about the steering wheel moving but can't win um all. Headlights could do with a polish.

    Always wanted a video like this talking about fast road setups.👍
    I may be in the minority hear but I'd love even more in depth videos on this topic.

    I recall the dc5 needing new tie rods and roll center correction ball joints when lowered. Having a new steering rack slider helped with vague turn in a bit, but these cars are weird to dial in well

    • @Heyyo_Friday
      @Heyyo_Friday ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Digging from my experiences with my dc5 (rsx-s)
      -tie rods are necessary if you run a good amount of camber (-3.0) to correct toe
      -i didnt find roll center correction to really change much for steering feel.
      -the steering rack slider bushing helps a tonnnnn. I chose SHG with the Honed developments slider mount. Car wanders alot less and definitely less slop in the wheel

      @@Heyyo_Fridaythanks for weighing in! Just put my dc5 on coilovers and will consider the steering rack bush.

    Hey Danny.👋 From all over the shop to muy bueno. Good job, man. Too bad about the steering wheel helper holder thingamajiggy. I had high hopes for it initially. But at the end of the day, your efforts gave you a much better car to drive. Matt's DC5 Type R looks and sounds so nice.👌 Glad we finally got to check it out a little closer. Cheers.

    Wouldn't it be simpler to centre the steering rack (having the same amount of tie rod on both sides) before doing the toe on the front, and then when you've aligned it to preferred specs just move the boss on the steering spline back to center?

    • @Iain240
      @Iain240 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The track rods are infinitely variable whereas the splines are discrete. You would be very unlikely to find a position on the splines that lined up perfectly.

  • @danielcgomez
    @danielcgomez ปีที่แล้ว

    Dan's alignment & suspension se up ...a little off to the left :P ...haha
    ...slipping the wheel boss on the splines would quickie fix for sure. but the end to end angles will be off, so no rallying for that DC5 ! ...Enjoyed the video tho!

      They’re a bit hardcore for a daily, but they’re not bare-bones either. As mentioned, rust would be the biggest thing to worry about.

    • @sidathwijeratne7168
      @sidathwijeratne7168 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExciteLetsPlay an FN2 would make a decent daily… has all the creature comforts you need, but still has a high revving N/A K20 up front.
      Handling is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be, a fast road set-up and an LSD makes a decent improvement

    • @user-ue6iv2rd1n
      @user-ue6iv2rd1n ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sidathwijeratne7168 I've never driven a DC5 but my FN2 has rock hard suspension and seats, the seating position is good but it rides like a classic mini. I've got a late model with the lsd, I've never had it on track but on road it just grips, the brakes are lacking though the DC5 definitely has it beat it there.
