I had a PRP under eye treatment a few years ago. It paralyzed the right side of my face for a few hours. It scared the crap out of me as I was afraid it would be permanent. My face was screwed up in an awkward shape for too long that day and although this was the second time, it was also my last. Never saw any results and maybe I needed more treatments but I was and am still afraid of any further. I'm afraid that my vanity may become my demise. I feel like the PRP as well as the 3 fractional Lazer treatments I got, made my under-eye wrinkles worse!!!

I always enjoy your lectures. My feeling is you are experimenting with yourself. So what if a little vanity is involved. You seem to have done this before. Praying for your swift healing and a fabulous result. You deserve it!
Fascinating. Your explanations involving the science behind keto has been important to me. It's what keeps me on track. While I probably won't do a resurfacing, I had a friend who did it and her skin was fantastic. This is a way to take good care of yourself. I am one of those people who has struggled taking basic care of myself so I applaud your efforts. It's important. I pat myself on the back that I am doing this for myself. BTW...you look amazing.
You go girl! I hear ya. I’m 66 and had okish skin until I started Anastrazole after breast cancer. The sagging skin, especially on my face, is awful. Can’t wait to see your results.
Same my skin looked pretty good. Have been on the AI for 2 years now and literally could see increased sagging and aging every week. It’s shocking how fast you age taking this drug,
Likewise--breast cancer and anastrozole (now Faslodex) really ages one. I'm not so concerned with my face, though. The joint pain, anxiety, and depression is why I'm off treatment for now.
I think it’s awesome she is sharing. I’m so grateful she studied which laser and shared with us. I’ve learned so much from her in the last few days. Thank you, thank you.
Most collagen supplements are actually already broken down into peptides composed of 2 or 3 amino acids. These peptides are used wherever they are needed throughout the body. If you are not consuming enough protein to provide the amino acids for consonstructing collagen in the skin, a collagen supplement may support collagen production. I am aware of no research that collagen supplements stimulate collagen production. Collagen supplements are essentially food. They support but don’t stimulate.
Good for you! And I agree with the one commenter who wrote about wanting "to look your absolute best when you feel so good!" Amen to that! Hi Gorgeous and Amazing Dr. Boz! I am on day 6 of my own 21-day fast, doing just a can (sometimes two) of sardines a day, plus a blended whole lemon (to ward off any prostate issues) each day, and I feel GREAT. To prepare for this 21-day fast, I went 100% carnivore for a whole month, with the last 12 days eating raw beef or lamb liver (12-oz/day) to help my wonderful liver to get ready to work its ass off in clearing my body of 64 years of being addicted to carbs. I've lost 40 lbs since the start of the 100% streak of going carnivore. My ketone counts have been insane -- starting at 4.0 the very first morning of the fast, ranging from 4.0 to 16.0, usually around 6.0 to 8.0 throughout each fasting day so far. People are noticing the difference in me, big-time, even ones who had seen me just a week ago. I moved into a big, steel barn that has no power, no Internet, but the sleeping in it -- 'cause of no EMFs, no WIFI, etc -- has been utterly fantastic, with sleeps of 10 to 12 hrs each night, with the barn being utterly pitch-black dark, so dark that I can't even see my own hand 3 inches from my face. No heat in the barn, either, and I'm walking around on smooth, cold concrete, allowing the natural Earth energy to flow up into my body as I move about, settling in. I live in the California Sierra mts at the 3,000-ft elevation, surrounded by conifer trees / forests. I have a "dope-soak" tank (a 200-gal stainless steel tank) that I jump into (38-deg water...BRUTAL!) for about 4 minutes, then I'd stand up to scrub my skin with skin-cleansing gloves, with the aims of stimulating skin growth, then back into the water for another 5 min...I hoping that this does stimulate skin growth/rejuvenation. Dr. Andrew Huberman, a genius dude, is the inspiration for this kind of soaking my ass in freezing-ass-cold water. With the sunny weather, I'm laying out in the sun in my b-day suit (in a former 420 garden, surrounded by a wooden fence) making lots of Vit-D, plus finally getting some color in my rosy-pink, white-ass skin. I started at 320 lbs; now I'm 279 lbs on my way to 200 lbs. 40 lbs off in 40 days so far, and I was not even trying to lose weight when on the 30 days of going carnivore to prepare for this 21-day fast. My aim was simply to make my body fat-adapted, so that I could do the fast with minimal issues, and the segue into the fast has been seamlessly smooth and great. I found 4-oz cans of no-salt sardines at Grocery Outlet for just a $1.30 each; salted ones are $2.00 each, so I bought 100 of those salt-free cans, then I salt the shit out of them with Himmy salt when I eat the sardines. I'm really enjoying this process, yo, Dr. Boz. Thank you for who you are and for your wonderful information! And may you always look sexy and radiantly beautiful as you go along!
Look ……. 99.9999999999999999999999 % of us will not only never ever do a 21 day fast , but CAN’T do a 21 day fast. Anyways, I hope you are okay health wise.
great educational video. i really appreciate you sharing with us. im praying for your excellent recovery. i will be planning this for me too someday since i am in menopause, love you lots!!!
This was a very informative, concise and easy to understand lecture on the process of how your body produces collagen and how you can stimulate this process. Your graphics and explanations were really great in helping to simplify a very complicated topic. Thank you so much!
Saw something recently that collagen should not be taken alone since it is not a complete protein, but should be taken with protein sources including yogurt.
This was an eye opening video. Does that mean we are wasting our time and money on taking Collagen powder each morning in our coffee? Is the best way to use a Sauna daily for 20 minutes to naturally stimulate the production of Collagen?
Taurine ,ketosis , myself bulletproof coffee. Laughing frequently + forgiveness for others and yourself and you will be beautiful inside and outside. Love always.
Dr. Boz you would like micro needling for anti aging for your skin. I found fasting and micro needling has made me look younger. FYI micro needling increases collagen production in the skin
Me too. Less sag. I'm postmenopausal at 47, but I'm taking estradiol and progesterone, forever. I've never been overweight or had ever have metabolic syndrome. I started keto low carb in 2018😊
I'm even more concerned about connective tissue and elastin internally and supporting my organs! My skin drastically became creepy when, ten years post menopause, I started gaining weight quickly, and my diet and lack of activity took me into insulin resistence and NAFLD! Hoping our Functional Medicine doctors will bring the science out about stimulating these aspects of health💜
It's a great procedure and amazingly effective, much more than any other procedure. You will look amazing and the time off is annoying but not horrible. Good choice !!
This lecture was extremely informative! I’m very interested in stimulation of skin cells! I am looking forward to seeing how your CO2 treatment turns out. Thank you for all of your work!

The functional drs I've seen have indicated that B-HRT helps with more than just symptom relief. It seems that most health issues occur later in life when hormones are in steep decline. So keeping hormones at a healthy status has been my approach for 13yrs.
A heaping teaspoon of food grade Diatomaceous Earth in drinking water is good for skin, hair, nails. Very inexpensive & Other benefits too. But always research b4 taking suggestions off comment threads

But when you use retin A from your 20’s, the fibroblasts keep making collagen. Decades on, I have proved it. I started in for acne at 19 and I’m glad I did.
I am 62.75 ha… I find one of the benefits of taking a great 1000mg Liposomal Vitamin C and 500mg Vitamin B3(niacin), followed with 15min Steam later in the day, does wonders for rejuvenating my skin. Flushing your skin with blood not only detoxifies, I suspect that it also stimulates collagen growth.

Maybe collagen is a waste for you because you are already in good health? If I take a pain pill when I have no pain I’ll say it’s got no affect. Just wondering. All the best with the op.
Take Alpha GPC, wait 1/2 to 0ne hour, then exercise (Medium Intensity Interval Training - preferably) increases Growth Hormones naturally according to research without cancer concern.
The bottom line is we are all going to get old and wrinkled, if we live that long. The question is will you ever be okay with that? Pushing back the inevitable, even by ten years, is not facing reality. When I was 14 and found my first white hair, yes, my sister pulled it out of my head and I kept it in a scrapbook, then two grew back in its place, I realised that I would be prematurely grey, like my fraternal grandmother, and I decided then to embrace it and vowed to never dye my hair. I am now 62 and have never dyed my hair, even when my mother said I would look younger if I did, my husband said he didn't care. Now that wrinkles are appearing I am less bothered by them than some because I had to deal with looking old at a young age. I still have people say they are surprised at my age, they think I am much younger, but that may be because I also seldom ever wear makeup. I stopped wearing that in my early thirties. I may put on a little rouge and mascara for a formal picture, like my daughters wedding, but that is it. Anyway, learn to love yourself, including the wrinkles and grey hairs. And Dr Boz, you said you wouldn't do it again, just this once... I wonder what Michael Jackson said before his first plastic surgery, just this once. 🤷
HOw everyone faces aging is a personal choice. Embrace or try to keep it at bay..... we dont look young for very long. I dont see a problem prolonging that appearance. I dont care for me, but I dont begrudge others or offer advice. Advice is silly unless its asked for.
I'm a scientist myself, in my 60s. This feels so much more about the medical physiology and sharing real time knowledge with all of us. Think about the many people who try other treatments, including eating large particle size Collagen, who will learn healthier decision-making, no matter what their motivations
Taking the Harris omega 3/6 ratio test 14 months apart while supplementing with EPA and DHA and seeing no change in my ratio. Dropped the supplements and switched to sardines and ice cold water fish. I hope I get better results.
PS: Collagen saved me with my results. Just read the two hundred thousand reviews on the big box membership store and big online store. The collagen powder in the light blue container.
Wouldn't these "snippets" of collagen ingested, or even the larger bits of it (competitors brands), all degrade in the stomach? Isn't it broken down to its simple building blocks to begin with when it hits the stomach? It would seem it wouldn't matter if the collagen was smaller particles or not.
Dear Dr. Boz, if this is what you want to do. Then do it. You have helped so many people feel good about themselves, including me. I just turned 60 and am slimming down the right way this time. Thanks to you. You have helped me get my life back. What do you think your mom would have said, especially after she dealt with cancer? You have researched it. Do you have Gods peace about it. Is your hubby OK with it. God bless you , your family, and your procedure. I can't wait to get your skincare elixir. .
I disagree with that. Taking collagen made my skin much thicker. It used to be so thin that I would bleed just by brushing against a wall. That doesn't happen any more.
You look great! But I don’t blame you for staying on top of the aging graceful goal. You’ll teach a lot of people how to come along with you. And looking our best is part of feeling our best. So more power to you.
The studies where there is a tiny measurable effect from supplemental collagen were mostly young and overwhelmingly healthy. When insulin is high.… all results disappear
Glad i'm a man that shaves. I swear everyday shaving gave me perfect wrinkless skin. My neck for example looks more young and tight than my wifes who is younger. She also uses dozens of creams and retinol. Go figure how much these products really do.
The Romans used to scrub their skin w/ pumice. This light stress could have encouraged collagen production. A lot safer and cheaper than chemical peels or laser procedures too.
I also was obsessed to look younger and sometimes wasted my money on not working products. Now my obsession is gone and I don’t waste anymore on their products. I learned to love myself instead and be happy with what I am.

Thinking of you these days Dr. Boz. Hope your procedure went well and the results are what you hoped for. Blessings from the Black Hills.
You're so beautiful and have beautiful skin. I can't wait to see the results! You inspire me to get back on the Keto wagon. Thank you ❤
Part of your encouragement and inspiration for implementing your dietary information and making it a lifestyle is your appearance.
First time here ... impressive video! Everything I've learned in the last 3 years being low carb carnivore matches with what you are saying.
You need vitamin C to make collagen.
Liposomal Vit C
@@PT-hr2fw Incorrect. Any ascorbic acid.
Thank you. It is an interesting topic and I look forward to learning how it works for you.
How exciting and good for you! Thank you for experimenting on yourself and offering to let us know about it❤😅
I noticed a big and positive difference taking collagen … I’ll keep taking it.
Me too. Less sag. I'm postmenopausal at 47, but I'm taking estradiol and progesterone, forever. I've never been overweight or had ever have metabolic syndrome. I started keto low carb in 2018😊
What collagen do you take
Thanks for sharing; hope you tell us all about ur C02 experience!
You should have started hormone therapy with estradiol and progesterone
Haha my crepey skin is kind of creepy 😅
It's a great procedure and amazingly effective, much more than any other procedure. You will look amazing and the time off is annoying but not horrible. Good choice !!
Thank you Jill.
Collagen really helped my thin peeling fingernails and I notice my hair is healthier.
Your nails are made of Keratin, not Collagen.
Oh and of course your hair is also keratin.
If the FDA approves something I have gotten to the point of wondering what is wrong with it. Looking forward to your results.
PLEASE GOD NOTHING WILL GO WRONG coz you are a Beauty thank you for your videos.
This lecture was extremely informative! I’m very interested in stimulation of skin cells! I am looking forward to seeing how your CO2 treatment turns out. Thank you for all of your work!
Dr Boz is right.
Look at Hollywood vegans. (Tend to eat high glycemic or carb load which is high insulin)
Jodie Foster, Russell Crowe,
Would early implementation of hrt prevent a lot of the sudden aging that occurs during menopause?
Yes the earlier the better… I have my menopause uneducated dr to thank for all the time I lost.. before I started hrt.
I hope dr Boz does some videos on this subject.
The functional drs I've seen have indicated that B-HRT helps with more than just symptom relief. It seems that most health issues occur later in life when hormones are in steep decline. So keeping hormones at a healthy status has been my approach for 13yrs.
I'm praying for your skin to heal without any flaws!
Question: What about taking Glycin to help skin? That is the main amino acid offered by Collagen.
A heaping teaspoon of food grade Diatomaceous Earth in drinking water is good for skin, hair, nails. Very inexpensive & Other benefits too. But always research b4 taking suggestions off comment threads
A person's sense of " well- being," is a personal and sacred thing... and how they achieve it is different for everyone. So do ~whatever it takes to satisfy your sense of well-,being.
♥️♥️♥️
🙏🏻 I hope your surgery went amazing!
You go, Girl! Prayers for a speedy recovery.
But when you use retin A from your 20’s, the fibroblasts keep making collagen. Decades on, I have proved it. I started in for acne at 19 and I’m glad I did.
Sorry I missed the live Doc
But on the bright side, I can listen at twice the speed 😊
Thank you so much for such wonderful info. Do you know how long the downtime is for a CO2 facial by chance? Hope you are doing well.
Did you ever think about fascia and lymph massages? Much more natural and regenerative for the tissues
So what about gelatin?
Jello works
❤❤❤❤❤ 🙏 🙏 ❤❤❤ my beautiful doctor. I totally get it, and ty for sharing. I can't wait to hear your beautiful healing.
I learned so much from this video.
I have a meningioma 2014 stage 1, that now has mets stage 3, to my lung and elsewhere with a long back story.
Now breast cancer... invasive ductal carcinoma stage 3. Lost a son from suicide/brain cancer. Ty Jesus that we are believers!
I listened to all your you tube videos that I can find. Still looking for a community/group near me. Lewis Center Ohio
Being a male this is something I don't relate to... But you were so engaging and covered lots of topics, I now know I want no part of Lazer abrasion . That said, your journey is going to be an enrichment in everyone's life that follows you. ❤
I love ❤ this video, thanks Dr Boz! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Not helpful for joint health?
So beautiful inside and out ❤thank you for sharing and inspiring me so much. I’m 51 and my bday is Nov 26 i fast 24 hours once a week and enjoy ur other ideas 👍👍👍
Hi dr boz I have sugar cravings but I also have high blood pressure can I still stop my sugar cravings with salt??
Maybe collagen is a waste for you because you are already in good health? If I take a pain pill when I have no pain I’ll say it’s got no affect.
Just wondering. All the best with the op.
I bought that collagen item yesterday 😲😂
Has anyone tried Moderne liquid collagen? Its super expensive but I hear it works. Doesn't make sense that any collagen actually would, though.
Take Alpha GPC, wait 1/2 to 0ne hour, then exercise (Medium Intensity Interval Training - preferably) increases Growth Hormones naturally according to research without cancer concern.
What about k no X Gelatin isn’t it the same as collagen
Yes. But swallowing it does not make it inside your body.
Is drinking from aluminium cans safe?🤔
PS:
Collagen saved me with my results.
Just read the two hundred thousand reviews on the big box membership store and big online store. The collagen powder in the light blue container.
My husband, daughter, and two of her children have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Would collagen be beneficial for them and if so, what type would be best?
Are there any more updates on collagen? I want better bones.
If you swallow snippets of collagen......do those snippets make it all the way to the fibroblasts? They don't get degraded by digestion/absorption?
They absolutely do.
@@joeymooney6234 they do make it to the fibroblasts? Or they do get digested down to mere amino acids?
@@christinaperez254digested
They get digested
looks pretty good already
Wouldn't these "snippets" of collagen ingested, or even the larger bits of it (competitors brands), all degrade in the stomach? Isn't it broken down to its simple building blocks to begin with when it hits the stomach? It would seem it wouldn't matter if the collagen was smaller particles or not.
Doesn’t the stomach acid and digestive enzymes break down collagen to appropriate size particles for the body to utilize?
I can't wait to get your skincare elixir. .
Disappointing as i have purchased dr boz keto collagens. Thankd for honesty i guess
Dr Boz, you are basically saying that collagen is not doing anything for us?
I disagree with that. Taking collagen made my skin much thicker. It used to be so thin that I would bleed just by brushing against a wall. That doesn't happen any more.
I’m 67 and am interested………am I a good candidate?
You look great! But I don’t blame you for staying on top of the aging graceful goal. You’ll teach a lot of people how to come along with you. And looking our best is part of feeling our best. So more power to you.
Multiple studies on pubmed including r c t's demonstrate measurable differences from collagen supplementation
In young healthy people. Bot folks with insulin resistance
And several confounding variables (like exercise) were not controlled for
The studies where there is a tiny measurable effect from supplemental collagen were mostly young and overwhelmingly healthy.
On a 99.9 bio Identical for 8 years than decreases aging complications it works but not sold over counter 7 international patents
