lol! I HATED country music most of my life with a blanket disdain. Then I started catching songs here and there that really stood out to me. Honestly... I'm glad I gave it a chance. There are some good ones out there in/around the genre. I think it was more "folk" that reeled me in, but if you're coming from rock/metal - check out the genre "dark country." You might hear something you like there. 🙃
