I’m a 75 year old West Virginian. My Dad, born in 1907, started in the coal mines in 1919 when he was 12. He worked in the same mine for 35 years and died at the young age of 47.
As a former coal miner for Murray energy at the McElroy coal mine working as a roof bolter, this song speaks to all of us who were in the mines! Let’s go Mountaineers!
