You don't have all those modern things and are trying to use the best you can with what you have. It does have an unlayered, honest, nostalgic sound.
Love the song, sounding like it is from another era of music. George Gershwin goes back in time but he was such a talented man writing many masterpieces in his type of music. Your voice is a wonderful presentation of his song. Great job! To me it's a classic. ❤ P.S. I also enjoy Melissa Morris's piano accompaniment.
Well done, Ms. Tomlinson. Your performance takes me back to the scene in "Mr Holland's Opus" (1996) where Jean Louisa Kelly's character sang this song to Mr. Holland (played by Richard Dreyfuss). Yours was as brilliant as Ms Kelly in that movie. Looking forward to hearing you sing other standard tunes from the 1930s and 1940s.

Love this song, and Ms. Tomlinson's voice. Love the Gershwin songbook. The acoustics are not good in this church, particularly for this completely secular song.

Yes, It’s a little more jazzy than what I usually do. Gershwin is a lot of fun to sing though!

Yes. The church is dedicated to worship of God. Lovely voice, however.
