@@armoredduck Agreed. You play those cards, and the other players don't, the game is already decided. That is why casual pods should agree not to use those cards unless everyone else does. They accelerate a player far too much.
Ashnod's Powerstones getting blown up was a real kick in the teeth for Arca :( usually the deck will be counting on those, so it was the right move to blow them up with Karn, but dang. :(
It could have been different if the rest of the pod actually worked together and focused on John. I was surprised they let him get away with it for so long considering ganging up on the fast mana player is usually how groups are supposed to deal with the issue.
That... was a bad feel game... that bolas citadel and aetherflux reservoir combo was dirty as hell, he went from less then 20 to nearly 50 in a single turn while gaining a massive board state... I still felt it was dirty how he kept blowing up the powerstone tokens though, like... dude, rude.
Groups need to decide before a card is even drawn if these kinds of fast mana artifacts are acceptable. If three players come to the table without those, and the one player that plays them, the game is already decided. The acceleration is far too good for a "casual" game.
This game really shows what a mistake planeswalkers are. They are repetitive, oppressive and just bad for whatever format they appear in. Love the content, hate the walkers.
@@TK-zd7ymmana crypt into a karn killing powerstones wasnt it lol. Yeah, John having Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, and Karn by turn 3 pretty much sealed the game.
It's why fast mana should have no place in casual games. It just skews the whole game horribly.

Also the likes on this comment did it..

Rona brought a railgun to a sword fight
It's never fun to see a one sided stop to this degree. Fast mana dominating a game as always.
What a fair and balanced game
Baby Ashnod is my mono-black deck and seeing the untimely demise of so many power stones hurts me more than it did the Thran.
MY FELLOW BABY ASHNOD PLAYER!
"My deck is a 7"
Seems like john had a deck that was really over budget for the table lol
Yeah Jon straight up ruined the game by running fast mana and Karn super awkward
This is a classic “yeah…my decks a 7” lol

Mana Crypt is 💯 why he won the game lol.
John didn't come to play a fun game that day. Or at least no fun for his opponents
Very excited to see the Ms. Bumbleflower deck reveal.
I’m shock the planeswalkers that people didn’t attack took over the game /s
It really hurts to see my girl Ashnod never do anything but get bodied on this channel.
John deck seem like a nerd powertrip against precons. Stupid fast mana.
Love the content! Always wanted to see how an ashnods deck would look like!
Yeah, John's deck is clearly a little over the top
I was excited for Doric and Carom gameplay, fast mana with stax is what I got.
Really interesting game!
I like the game review format now but is the sound a bit quieter for anyone else?

john just never discarded to the opression or am i missing something
He discarded when he had cards in hand, which seemed to not be the case often after Turn 3. Or perhaps I'm missing something also :P
He does discard, it’s just not announced through the voice over.
He was discarding when able, but he didn't have much of a hand for awhile and at some points was just playing off the top of his library handless.

It's always scary when Ugin minuses itself and lives...
The threat assessment this game was just not correct
John came to send a message 😂 On another note, I’ve been tinkering with the idea of building a Coram deck, is it worth it?
I'm enjoying it a lot! It is VERY aggressive sometimes.
@@MTGMuddstah BAWH GOD! HE IS BROKEN IN HALF!
One of these is not like the others...😅
Anyone else just stop watching when there is alot of fast mana by turn 3?
My god why did you all leave his planeswalkers? Just so much free value.
Not same power level. 😅
So many missed oppression triggers, yikes
Why even post this game? It was obvious that the fast mana Karn deck was going to dominate against mono green baldur's gate tribal.
This was a wildly unbalanced game. Kinda no fun.
Please guys, dont upload this type of video. We wanna see the decks in action, not how one deck stomps the table. Its so boring.

The mistake was Mana Crypt

I saw the pronouns and immediately turned it off.
John had a crazy start! But yeesh leaving those walkers alone kept him sitting pretty 😅
