I think orangutans are the most amazing creatures they have such an incredibly loving nature and there intelligence level makes them so interesting to watch I believe they are so much smarter than we think the way they nurture and care for there children they have almost no instinctive behaviors like us they need to be taught everything by there mother that just intrigues me how they can have so much dependence as a wild animal.
That look of excitement they get when they do something for the first time, like hanging from anything without Mom's help, is hilarious. It looks like mostly... "Check me out everyone! Look what I can do now!", And probably a little bit scared of falling too.
I could watch for hours. A mother orangutan with her baby and the way she protects and cares for it is such a heartwarming thing to see. We are honoured to have them in our world.

Oh, if I could give a 1000 hugs and kisses or work with them. I'd be in heaven! I love them more than fireworks. Where everyone says, eeeww, ahhhh, woooh, whoooa! That's how great apes make me feel. They make me smile, laugh, make me feel joyful, greatful, and thankful!! Thanks sooo much for sharing! I wish they were so much longer. This little guy is the bees knees!! 😊❤
What beautiful and extraordinary creatures they are! And what a wonderful mum🥹♥️🥹, the way she’s helping him strengthen his arms for climbing but she’s always right there in case he needs her. It’s amazing to see how gently and tenderly they love and care for this baby🫶. Wowwww♥️🥹♥️💗💕♥️
@@edenschannel101 honestly a lot, a lot of animals are wiser, like the elephant or daulphins but humans aren't ready for that conversation because of their religious belief
Orangutan mums teach their babies everything they need to survive, such as climbing. In the wild, they can apparently distinguish between over 400 different fruits as to which is edible. In zoos, I don't know what special skills they need but I am sure this mom will teach her little one.
I’m amazed by the baby’s strength and coordination only a few days after birth. To me, Orangutan’s behavior and expressions seem closer to humans than the other great apes. Chimpanzees and humans DNA is 99% identical. Orangutans share 96.4% of our DNA.
@Pappy Van Winkle Ya ain't gotta be an engineer at Firestone to recognize a flat tire. Seems as if the big 'tard put the small one on the line puposely, either to dry it out, or teach climbing. I'll go with the climbing.
Thank you for showing these videos to the world! I personally never get tired of watching them, orangutans are so much like people it's not funny. How could anyone with a heart look n to those eyes and not be melted by them is not human n my opinion!!!😋🇺🇸👍

So cute baby got bad hair day. Mommy,s helping the baby to climb he or she have to learn all this climbing and swinging around from tree to tree so sweet thank you for sharing .
It's interesting the difference between orangutan mothers and macaque mothers. The macaques are brutal and cruel to their children while the orangutans seem to care
Oh I know they're pretty much polar opposites. I saw a video where a baby macaque tried to nurse and it made the mom so mad she twisted its head and throw it down and then started mating right in front of the baby. I have no clue why some can be so violent, they often legitimately look like they hate the baby by how they treat them. Lemur's are even more violent, like 20% of babies are killed and often over things so trivial as wanting to eat. Orangutans have no documented cases of infanticide and only a few of cases of rejecting their babies, but that is usually the result of having had very troubling lives as they grew up, not ever knowing their mother or being shown how to raise a baby, being abused etc. They have such long intervals between babies and their pregnancy is about as long as humans so it's a huge commitment. This and because they just have so much empathy and kindness results in exceptional and compassionate child rearing.
They still gotta squeeze out of that little birth canal, just like human babies. Just like us, they aren't like cows that can just plop out a huge ass calf lol
Unfortunately, it's a tragic fact in Indonesia. Sadly, the babies’ very cuteness and human-like attributes contribute to their being stolen by humans for pets, until they are 4-5 years old, when they become too strong. I watch orangutan rescue videos even though the stories are heartbreaking. 💔
Has anybody noticed that orangutans all seem to love blankets? There was another orangutan at Longleat in the UK who would sit around draped in a blanket. 😂
I love the way mother supports her baby as it is learning to climb. And that kiss is so adorable.
Marvelous creatures. They are highly intelligent and are very loving mothers. Beautiful to watch. Protect them.
