If the mace had channeling wouldn’t you get stuck by lighting as well as your target when you use it? I think that’s why channeling isn’t on the mace. At least for now.

Do what I do and keep auto updates off I use a separate gaming phone tho and it's usually not connected to wifi. Pretty sure you can do this on PC. Not sure about console.
I tried the new enchantments with mace and found out that in air if you keep wind charge in off hand and mace in main, you can launch the wind charges and hit it with a wind burst mace simultaneously to get more knockback and fly over 100+ blocks at once and even get advancement for that😂

This is the best snapshot in a while. This feels like when they just randomly added basalt deltas. This alone makes me have a reason to go to the trial chambers, which was lacking before in my opinion.
So many minecraft youtubers said villagers were overpowered and enchantment books were too cheap, when they were the ones doing raid farms for endless emeralds. They can suffer like the rest of us now.
Clarification edit: I'm not opposed to raid farms, I'm opposed to making villager trades more expensive and screwing over people who earn emeralds through non-industrial trading instead of horrific ugly raid farms in the sky. And I'm also opposed to youtube gamers with too much time in their hands getting a disproportionate voice in the community when it comes to balance changes.

Bro raid farms aren't the only thing that give emeralds. 1/2 the farms will lmao. Pigman farm, crop farm, iron farm, and even wood are all examples of farms that if you build, you will have zero issues with villager price
So the mace used to be this OP weapon that could one-shot anything...
...so they made it more OP so it can one-shot anything from shorter fall distance, go through armor, and combo???
It does look like they made it *much* rarer though, which might be a problem as then crystals will still be easier to get, and they seem more OP anyway (not to mention they counter the mace completely).
I do like more opportunities to increase the difficulty of the trial spawners, and I like that stuff spawning above the player will make constant movement needed, although I would imagine that you could cheese it by placing blocks above your head?
Also, is the bad-omen-powered trial spawners' loot different excluding the trial keys?
Do the potions effect the player at all? (like the cobweb one could allow you to move through cobwebs quickly?)
They should also buff another tools Enchantment

Yes, the potion effects affect the player, but they specifically mentioned in the changelog that players are exempt from the "walking faster through cobwebs" perk, meaning that it's intentional.
Crystals aren't as effective anymore, because you only need 7 blocks to one shot a prot IV netherite player with a density V breach IV mace now, so there is a way smaller window to counterattack
PD: Besides even just a breach IV mace is already stronger than sharp V netherite sword against diamond/netherite players
Honestly, I really liked the new omen mechanics, except for the fact that they changed the raid system, I really liked how it made sense that when you killed a pillager captain the pillagers would go out of their way to kill you and your village as revenge, but now it doesn't feel as logical, let's see how mojang develops it lol
I mean, it's less logical, yes, but now YOU get to choose when the raid happens. I've had experiences where I've gotten Bad Omen and been unable to get milk to clear it, and so I'm basically locked out of all Villages for over an hour. That was never fun, and I'm glad it won't happen anymore.
Back when Caves and Cliffs was being revealed, they mentioned their design principals, and one of them was "Bad things happen, but it's usually either caused or is avoidable by the player" (for example, iron golems don't attack creepers because it would be unfair for a creeper to explode without the player's involvement). The old raid system, while more logical in-universe, followed this principal less because pillager patrols can just spawn anywhere, and you're likely forced to get Bad Omen just to stay safe.
I think a good middle ground might be to have captains in pillager patrols drop the bottles, but captains at outposts simply give you the effect. That way, you still have to seek it out, but the "grudge" thing is still preserved (because honestly, how would the pillagers know that their isolated patrols were killed specifically by you?).
I think it fixes a lot and give players more options, as well as the effects it has on trial chambers and likely other structures. However, I agree that it takes the revenge aspect out.
To me how raids worked wasn’t that the pillagers were following you due to the bad omen effect. I thought what was happened was the effect actually teleports random pillagers from around the world to you when you enter a village

@@MattTOB618Honestly they should’ve made a different mob for the raid captain at outposts vs patrols. Nothing too different just an ominous looking version of it
I'd love to see the update be titled either: 'The Pretty Tough Update' or 'The Pretty Challenging Update'. They both recognise the pretty new blocks, and the challenging Trial Chambers. The first name does focus on the new Tuff blocks though. These would both also be a callback to the 'Pretty Scary Update'!

I didn't even think about this but you can technically make your normal mob spawer farms into slime farms by splashing your mobs there with the effect
Kind of, considering it costs 1 slime block to splash mobs you’d need a lot of mobs to be effected in order to make it worth the slime block
yeah most groups of mobs will drop more than 9 slime, so its easy to get good returns. its 2 medium slimes per mob, which really adds up xD
I thonk a good name for the update would be "Turbulent Trials" as turbulence during flights gets the wind related aspects in the title and trials obviously for the trial chambers, as well with new omen effects, the trials can be difficult and turbulence can mean difficulty as well

seems interesting, but I think making netherite sword completely useless is crazy. Mace is just insanely overpowered.

LMAO I'm not. I'm filling chests, currently I have about 500 double chests of enchantment books. And 1,500 double chest of straight emerald. I want at least 4k emerald chest. And 2k enchantment books chests😂
Def gonna be a grind for the mace, might go ahead and start now my getting a smite 5 villager. For the raid farms I honestly might make a macro that clicks two, hold down on right click, and then back to 1 (to hold the looting sword) every few minutes until they add the off hand. Either that or just stack up on emerald and totems and don’t worry abt it

I think if you build a bubble column under your bottom chest and a dispenser then you can hook it up to the top part, and use an allay item filter to make sure you don't get crossbows, and you have an auto right-clicker for when you go afk, then you could actually use them like normal again

Nah, you just have to splash extra potion effects it’s not a specific trigger like some others are. Actually, I’m not sure how they’ll do it with the multiple omen effects so I assume it’ll just be regular omen to get the achievement

Channeling on mace could be exclusive with fire aspect. So it could be one or the other. I think many will want to be Thor smashing.
Heck, why not add Loyalty while they're at it? Or make it a replacement Elytra we can fly around with until we throw it. Lots of possibilities.
Different difficulties activated by the player make me want to take on that challange so much more than before. Easy difficulty for early game players and using the ominous effect for harder mobs for more decked out players will be so good !
I like this update a lot. Looting this structure will be impossible for peaceful players (like me) which is cool however there is one thing missing: new tree. Tree are never enough trees/wood types. I would love to see pine or something like this just to recognize better the biomes

Everytime the mechanic(or update, mob, boss) change, they made a new type of farm. Soon we will got new type of raid farm
It actually look pretty interesting so far. The mace looks fun to play with and the new interactions with ominous effects and trial chambers shows great potential for what may come in the future. Being able to change the trial chamber's gameplay experience using effects give infinite possibilities for replayability later on.
Sad to see no new tree, would've been nice to see a Weeping Willow being added. Also the ominous potions need a splash effect
@silentwisperer I'm having trouble w enchanted armour, it's all blocky and doesn't look like normal armour do u maybe know the reason why that might be happening
If Ominous Bottles can't be put into Brewing Stands, it is going to be tough for sorting them out of all the other items we get from our raid trigger kills. Perhaps its just best to send all the items up to the player and just sort it out from there. I just hope that you can have Bad Omen and Raid Omen at the same time as that will allow for us to have Raids going back to back (or perhaps even multiple at the same time...)
they're stackable items. just use an item filter
@@silentwisperer The different levels don't stack together, so that's 5 different sorters each needing 41 Ominous Bottles of the appropriate level to get started. I was thinking that it would be easier to just send everything up to the player and have all the player inventory spots filled and have one of each type of potion in your hotbar so that you can act as the sorter.

That new ozing potion could be use to make a slime farm if you cant find a slime chunk or swamp

@silentwisperer They need to make the Ominous potion a splash potion the Illager Captain can throw at you in-between cross bow bolts. He should still drop a regular potion, but I think he should be able to put the ominous effect on you because it's good lore and can be inconvenient. Kind of like he is marking you so he can attack your home village etc.

Raid farms are pretty overpowered ngl, and at least your emerald only farm will still work (if I understand this correctly)
The bad omen bottles should definitely be splash potions instead so that its as if you accidentally dropped the bottle and it shattered giving you a bad omen.

Knock back makes sense with it not on there but I can’t imagine how fun the mace would be with both wind breeze and knock back. You just send them to oblivion
Any plans on updating your older farms to include the crafter? I was just considering the flying machine bamboo farm, and the storage system would have to be completely redone but would benefit greatly from featuring a crafter.

most farms dont need a crafter. it mostly just helps with full scale automation and compaction for certain farms:)
@silentwisperer I know its not essential, that bamboo farm just has crazy output and the storage system is pretty different from a standard storage or auto sorter setup from other farms. I know I could figure something out but you're a wizard at bedrock, and I just think it'd be interesting to see how compact you could make a system like that.
I appreciate that you don't do the youtube thing and put out the exact same farm every year and just slap the word "updated" in the title but I think the crafter could change farms enough to justify an update to many of these farms, but that's just my opinion.

I really this update, but i am kinda divided on the ominous bottle thing. I liked having to deal with bad omen after killing a captain, cause, you know, consequences. Thankfully, this is Minecraft, so i can just play by the honour rule of always drinking the potions

What lighting mechanism are you using?
I hope they add a medieval flail with a swing radius of 10 blocks and you can get an enchantment on it that allows you to insta-kill anything in the radius

There is always these knockback mechanics but unless it is on you to do some jump or something then having the knockback on enemies is an L. Just makes the loot and followup attacks more inconvenient
i think they should buff the vaults by making them reusable, probably not infinitely but some ammount of times by one player, since considering how rare they are and how rare a mace head is in the loot table, it's going to be extremely painful to get one since you're gonna need to seek a lot of these vaults
Can those new potion effects be stacked....like...could you dispense infestation and ooze splash potions into a normal spawner xp farm to end up getting more xp from the farm out of the silver fish and slimes...either way...a low effort slime source and an easy cobweb source is much welcom...silver fish only realy for added xp but welcome as well÷

The fact that they have got rid of super rare loot from normal trial vaults make them not very appealing to open once you have all the food and arrows you need .
Would be nice if there was a way to refresh the vaults because eventually you will run out of vaults to open and you will be left with a bunch of useless keys.

The more frustrating they make the villagers to deal with (esp nerfing raid farms) the less worth it dealing with them is ngl...
Villagers are still good lol, they were absolutely broken though it just took 1 raid farm to get infinite emeralds

I am having an issue with my villagers as i am having a mega town hall with at least 240 villagers out of which 50 are librarians. But from past a week i have been facing an issue that my villagers in the town hall are not restocking their items.
I have ensured that they are linked to a bed but they are not linking to the job blocks. I had tried a lot ways but nothing has changed.
Please tell me any measures for this as i am having a big project for my Minecraft world.
Wait with these new potions does that mean a silverfish xp farm might be viable again?
Gather mobs > potion of infestation> Splash Poison > more infestation> More Poison.
Regardless theres going to be some great Xp farms from these!

These are the final features for the snapshots, anyway. It’s possible that they have something big that they’re saving for the update itself like they did with the Piglin bastions in the Nether update

How are you able to add a potion item sorter if bad omen potion cant be inserted into a brewing stand?
they stack, just use a normal item filter
Itd be cool if the wind charge potion gave the player a double jump ability like the cloud in a bottle in terraria
On bedrock afk raid farms would still work if you have a trident killer, a sword in your off hand, one bottle in your inventory and an auto clicker that allows you to drink the potion.

Youd have to transport the bottles up to an afk spot otherwise raids wouldnt spawn on platforms. Unless someone comes up with clever mechanics its just too messy

Well, no more Accidentel Raids. But I don't think we will get new Combat in this update. If they go for the June release, there won't be enough time to develop it and the rest of the update. 2 months by itself isn't a lot of time either. The easiest thing Mojang could do is give Bedrock Java Combat, which would be more CONTROVERSIAL than The Wild Update. I'm concerned as the theme is Combat 'Adventures' and Tinkering but not just Combat, and the only real combat adventure change is the Trial Chambers. We need the new combat tests!

Could it be possible to build a item sorter that give you the raid bottles, and then hold LT with a rubber band to automatically drink the potions?
yeah but you wont get the looting effect from the farm, so your rates would be 2.5x less

I'm literally right in the middle of building a 24 stacked raid farm. Will we get an update to how they work? Maybe it's possible to ship it up to the player from the trident killers and still use the farm? I've always wanted to build one of these mega farms and this basically ruins it completely
Make a macro that presses 1, waits 4-5 minutes, presses 2, holds right click for a bit, repeat
and yes ship the potions up to the player

I am more scared about how my legs will age falling from 10 blocks in the air every time I want to defend myself with a mace.
Now we just need Mojang to give us off-hand parity. I want to awkwardly wield a deadly weapon while chugging a potion like the cool Java kids.

If we could put channeling on the mace, make it throwable, and add loyalty to it, then it would be just like Mjolnir. Mojang should make this happen because that's what heroes do!
Well, I haven't bothered to fix my raid farm because of how much I had stocked up so I guess laziness won again and I'll only have to eventually make changes once instead of twice. The potion change really wouldn't be that bad if there was an option to auto-brew them into splash potions, hopefully the community talks Mojang into that.

@@dkskcjfjswwwwwws413 Considering I have hundreds of hours over the years I've been playing enjoying exploring and building I think I'll be fine. Technical building is fun though, learning game mechanics and exploiting them to get resources faster then you can by hand is its own form of game play.

For raid farms: Can the potions be given the splash effect? If so you could just automatically give them the splash effect and have a dispenser fire them at you.

(Plus I play on a Flat world primarily, and that relies really heavily on villagers. I’d have to stockpile them before updating)

I've been thinking for a while that raid farms were way too overpowered, but now, they are no longer AFKable, and I feel that is one of the best possible fixes.

Starting to redesign the AFK farm now. Even if I can’t, all I gotta do is AFK on the bottoms chamber (the omen starter), stack up the bottles, then go on the top chamber that starts and ends the raids and keep drinking and killing. The killer is automatic so all I will have to do is drink something every 5 minutes.
Even so an hour of that strat on hard mode can give me a chest of totems an hour (4 a raid when on hard)

I just finished my raid farm today :c, will the raid farm still work? Instead, it will now be manual?
You can just Make a water bubble elevator System That transport the Ominous bottles to your AFK spot directly
It will no longer be an afk farm, you have to manually drink the omnious bottles now
And even then, you have to wait an extra 30 seconds before a raid begins again, due to how raid omen works
Maybe add an auto brewer to raid farms, converting the ominous potions to splash and then fire that with a dispenser at the player, every so often
there is no splash version of them
@silentwisperer that's annoying that they can't be converted to splash potions
@@punkemoandy its because they cant go in brewing stands so there is no way to do that
