I play Java exclusively and mostly modded these days, but I always still feel bad for my Bedrock bros. It feels like y’all always get the short end of the stick besides a couple features.

I forget when, but they officially said that trident killers are now a feature, meaning if they do get broken Mojang will fix it.

@@Mac_onVR Trident killer. Essentially you throw a trident and continuously push it with pistons. This will damage any mob hit and automate killing in mob farms.
addition to the trident killer explanation: when they die to a trident killer, unlike other methods like fall damage or lava, they drop experience and their item drops are affected by you holding out a looting sword.
They got rid of gaining experience from Trident Killers though..

The tnt change is definitely cool, and I'd love to see them add it to creepers, but without tnt duplication, or a non bug related sand farm, it's not even close to being a good trade off for all mob farms breaking. If this effects structure farms it's gonna be even worse, our raid farms are already essentially ruined
Considering TNT duplications IS a bug (only intentionally staying in Java as a temporary substitute); just use bugged sand farms, they are from the same category lol
@@user-tzzglsstle585e38 it's not nearly as convenient tho. All sand dupers either rely on the player going through nether portals, or the player entering the end to get their sand. You'd need two people across two dimensions to build any kind of TNT factory, and if you wanted to use it for a fully afk blast chamber, you'd need to build all of your farms within Sim distance of the spawn platform of the end, + an autocrafter for tnt, which would mean you can't ever resummon the dragon. Meanwhile java players need a couple of slime blocks and a piece of coral to infinitely fully afk farm any block that can be generated by redstone. Plus for me personally, duplicating sand and getting the item is much more cheaty than duplicating lit tnt

@@kawaiipiggy9143 The thing is, the Dead Coral bug WILL be fixed at some point too once they actually find a way to add renewable and properly farmable sand, a fully afk no-cost blast chamber will cease to exits, at least the no-cost part because it can only exist if you have a sand farm connected to your blast chamber as you said.
Then again; people are willing to go to a specific place for getting certain resources (nether roof), so going to the end for fully afk blast chamber-related farms shouldn't really be much different.
And let's just say; determining which is more cheaty between sand duping and tnt duping is pointless, they are both dupes-- so whatever reason determines which is more cheaty is completely arbitrary.
They are both cheaty, just go dig up a desert like the rest of us have to do Java players lol...
Such a damn shame that the Minecraft team plans on going with the mob placement change. It's such a small change for the average minecraft player, but something that will effect the way the most technical players choose to play the game. Not only does it affect general mob farms, but it will also affect portal based mob farms like gold farms, indirectly affecting bartering farms. Along with the raid changes, these changes will break nearly all of my mob-based farms in my world besides possibly guardian farms. Years of work and countless tutorials uploaded on TH-cam will be obsolete with these changes and we just have to accept it. I don't understand why the Devs are choosing to change something that isn't requested rather than leaving it be.🤔🙁

Rlly hope they are looking into adding either spawnchunks, or chunkloading so we can have good farms that use tnt, with no tnt duping we need great amounts of gunpowder but with the low mob spawning its kinda hard.

As you said, if they changed a few other things it would’ve made this change much better but they simply didn’t. I personally think they should’ve pushed this specific change back just so it comes out with those specific changes. I get that’s asking too much but still man, it just sucks.
If they only did the parities that benefit us I think that would kind of go against the whole point of paritys. They're trying to make things more consistent instead of making a superior version of the game.

@@dpre5718 what parody has come from bedrock and gone to java? Any parody (seems to) apply only to bedrock, if I am wrong *Please* let me know! Also the "good" parodies that we ask for are after a long time asking, meanwhile bad parodies are pretty regular.
Examples nether roof: no longer a bug, also never coming to bedrock! Banners on shields came out on java within the same update the shield came out, and 10 UPDATES LATER for bedrock. New combat update with MUCH faster healing on java, still not on bedrock. The Wither in general. Dye and potion cauldrons never made it to java. Redstone! Map markers.
So it's going to be another update where i spend the first few months repairing stuff that's broken rather than exploring the new features? 😢

If you can jump out of the water, and activate your elytra before going back into the water, you can fly out of water in bedrock edition with rockets. It's definitely, definitely worse than Java in that regard... but it IS possible. Of course Riptide makes it trivial on both versions.

What about silent's ghast farm design (with minecarts on activator rails)? Would that still be fairly effective?
Ghasts have a big bounding box so I assume they should still spawn and get moved up to the trident killer by the carts...
should be fine, might need to adjust the platform size
12:30 so thats why my tridents keep on disappearing. guess i will go dig up like a dozen tridents tomorrow.
I would recommend an access hatch in the side of any trident killer so you can just take them out when not using them, I lost SO many until I realised I could just do that
@@Pern-pe6cyyep I always pull mine out since hearing about this bug. It does use durability to put it back in each time but worth not losing it

Thank you so much for talking about things that more technical players really need to be fixed. We will riot if trident killers ever get removed, and that's why I hate the falling tridents bug so much. It just happens way too often, at least to me. Also, I think the wiki mentions spiders can't climb magma blocks on Bedrock Edition, but I haven't tested it.

I don’t think trident killers will ever be removed because it comes from a bug that can’t be patched. The redstone can break but the trident won’t.

Im pretty sure it can be fixed... Arrows dont deal damage to mobs that walk over them on the ground.@@off.arretezvousx
@@nameyname1447 if you brake the block the arrow is on it will fall, and while falling if it hits a mob it will still do damage.. this is the same mechanic that the trident killer uses
I'm still waiting for them to fix a bug that's been plaguing my storage system for hoppers can't pick up items off of water stream not too sure why it's happening but I bet it's something to do with chunk borders because it only happens in one line in 2 hallways of my storage system
You're likely correct that it's because of chunk borders. Hopper don't check for items across chunk bordera

Well given that my next three big projects in the survival realm I play on were all mob farms I guess I'm glad I didn't get to them yet. Would have been a real gut punch to put all the time in and then have it return nothing.

If you're going to fix things, FIX BEACON BEAMS! As compensation for breaking our mob farms, let us place Amethyst Clusters on whatever blocks we want, whether they're full blocks or not. PERMANENTLY.
Fix trident killers too. I spent months making a Guardian farm that uses these and I need the EXP for Mending. My raid farm was already ruined with the new Bad Omen mechanics. I guess it's time to get the magma blocks out of storage. Fixing the Wither Skeleton farm is going to be tricky, since you can't use water in the Nether. Though, I have an idea involving the use of a minecart track. Let's see where that goes.
Update: I managed to get the Wither Skeleton farm to work using the minecart system. All I have to do now is disassemble the trident killer and relocate the old storage system, attaching it to the new one.

@@timohara7717 Bundles won't fix the inventory problem. Shulker Boxes and Ender Chests are the best we're going to get.

Your basic mob farm is amazing! I built the full version in 3 of my worlds! Im glad its not broken. Its worth the time.

We also need to get rid of the bug with random damage taken when going up.

The thought of rebuilding your guardian farm and ghast farm in my world with all those redstone/blocks in the way is pissing me off.. they did not need to change something like where mob spawns out of the blue like that, even tho its been in the game forever it was not needed..they shouldov left it as a bedrock exclusive

I still have hope that one day they will fix issue MCPE-98861. This completely breaks the game and has been around for far too long.

Same, they just made render dragon worse and combined it with the worst renderer in existence (directx12) which is way slower in every way in compare to directx11, and the only reason they added it is rtx... I really hope they will consider making separate game version with rtx that can be downloaded only if you already have game (just like preview version)

@@timohara7717 prowl8413 made a creeper farm using trapdoors and scaffolding to move creepers in a kill chamber how it works is that mobs spawn on the north west corner of blocks which means they need four blocks to spawn a mob and because mobs are too tall to spawn under trapdoors then creepers will only spawn you could check the tutorial
Oh gosh I’m glad that won’t affect the scaffolding farm because I literally just built it last night.. that would have been a slap in the face 😂

These are very specific nitpicks that aren't necesary but I would love, the banner shield matching the banner you put on the shield, the ability to remove the background from items names in the hotbar, a dark mode for the ui, and a way to change various textures without the use of texture packs, so if you don't like the look of some new textures there are options to change them back

Omg, FINALLY. On mobile, specifically when choosing the classic layout, the text background would block the inventory, making it hard to see what you're picking up. Finally, I can tone it down.

Hallelujah to having 100% TNT drops!!!! Fixing the standing on Boats bug is also a big one. The mob spawning changes suck, but something tells me that they saw Prowl's recent video on Iskall's Creeper farm from Hermitcraft and how it doesn't work on Bedrock mostly due to how mobs spawn on the corners.

silent mentioned something called “mob density”, which basically means that only a specific amount of mobs can spawn in a certain area
Me and my mate just made a big creeper farm and we’ve been playing this world for two weeks but we’ve got loads of farms and now we’re seeing this we were planning to build lots more like shulker,gold and just basically any other farms what do you suggest?do we wait until the update

Quite the mixed bag. Hopefully they patch some of those bugs that would offset a lot of the negative. Would also be cool if they'd just add a spiked piston block to the game that could supplement or replace trident killers.

i wish they’d actually resolve the bug where you lose all armor on impact of crashing with elytra, i’ve lost so much work because of that and they said it was resolved but it happened again. also disappearing shulker boxes.
I am actually kind-of a minecraft player currently not playing minecraft but still follows it, and I plan to restart playing in a few months. I was a bedrock player, but all these changes that have been implemented is gonna change a lot of stuff. I am getting a feeling that at this point it is getting more and more frustrating to choose between which version to play. Help anyone? I wanna choose bedrock but.....I hope silent will also help with new re-designs for the farms.
If they “fix” the mob spawning on bedrock. They need to fix the TNT duper bug for Java. If they’re trying for parity they need to address that.

I don't think I've ever heard you as devastated as when you were reading out the change log. I get why they did it, but it still absolutely sucks, and I'm sorry to hear and see how much time and effort was lost.

The biggest thing I want is the ability to change the hard mob cap on bedrock servers. Right now it's at 200, which is so tiny when you have a few players online
A good thing with ominous events is that Bedrock Edition now have levels or bad omen , which was not there before ❤
They want bedrock to be the way forward but brake our farms. Counter intuitive. Also, what's the bet, next update we lose structure corner spawns and trident killers. Plus they'll never give us sweeping edge so mob farms will always suck
na if theyre ever gonna add sweeping edge they are for sure gonna remove the trident killer system...i cant see them giving us something good without removing another good feature

Will this affect portal based farms? I really don't want to make another ghast farm. I'm still using the portal based ghast farm from silentwisperer and all I want to do is have continue to have access to gunpower (caused 6 full shulkers of that is not nearly enough)

No it's not. We can use dispensers to launch the TNT. If you really wanted to, you can dupe chests full of shulkers full of TNT in the end. The main reason TNT duping is necessary for java is that they don't have moveable tile entities. If they couldn't dupe TNT, they couldn't build tunnel bores or world eaters. Bedrock can without duping.
Sure, sand is a problem... but this change would actually make bombing machines (Like a tunnel bore) much, much better for gathering sand.

It's also ironic that something used for completely automated tasks requires constant manual work, hence why technical players hate collecting sand.

With the new mob spawning mechanics for creeper farms would replacing the blocks that have buttons on them with path blocks work to prevent spider spawns? As no mobs can spawn on path blocks but you could have the usual spot with a trapdoor above for creepers to spawn?

What every bedrock player need is block limit on nether, so every bedrock player can build portal and farm there or design they're nether hub. And also the tnt dupper is so powerful when it comes to wood farm and it's perfect since mojang added 100% tnt drop rate. My favorite is you can hold any item in off hand.
Next on my Java shopping list is let us build on the nether roof!

I just want crit attack sound, dark red hearts when attacking mob (like in console edition) blue particles when attacking with a sword that has sharpness enchantment, and ability to put torches and fireworks in the off-hand

If they don't want to add more blocks, they should add more sounds. The bricks block sounds the same when it should sound differemt. I like how copper works because it changes how your steps sound. This has to be more used in Minecraft.

This would be the ideal parity since we have 100% tnt drop rate then they should add tnt duping, nether roof limit increase, java mob spawning mechanics and villager scare mechanics.
Please they have to fix the mobs randomly despawning on chunk borders.

really hope they revert or add an optiom to change the mobile dpad controls, they changed in 1.21.71 and it makes the game unplayable to most people
of all games to get meta changes and feature function nerfs, minecraft would have never been on that list of possibilities in my mind. villager trading nerfs and now mob farms too, I'm scared to see what they'll come up with next
villager changes are still in exp mode. we dont know when they plan on adding that, if ever

Been playing bedrock for over a decade now. I'm liking the changes, but dang. That's too many punches to the groin in one update😬. Guess I'm AFKing the creeper farm pretty hard for the next few weeks.

you'll be making new tuts for all of the broken mob farms right? If you do, I think you should make them in order such a hostile mob farm, iron farm or wherever, not just starting with a blaze farm or guardian farm.
