    I've used taco bearings in one of my elementums and there great! I just ordered skiffs for my other elementum for comparison, cool video bro

      I think mine was just because the brass scales weighed so much more than factory. 👍

    Lube the detent ball path on the blade, may help.

      I also think the coating on the blade hasn’t broken in. I carry this on select occasions cause the heavy brass. 👍🏼

    Use some Brasso to clean up the brass it works great on mine

    Most small blades won't drop shut because of the weight of the blade... You will notice only heavy blades really drop shut, unless the user in the video has the pivot loose to appear more smooth...

      Most..... My Moguro Vazo is tiny but drops shut real fast.

      My elementums all drop shut, small knives drop shut, all my para 2's and 3's drop shut, it really doesnt matter as long as you have quality parts, lube and some love.

      @TheFriendlyCholo1301 When designed, most knives are not designed to drop shut (unless we are talking about bearing knives), the specs are designed to be sealed yet still smooth. And if your knife with a light blade is dropping shut, I can almost guarantee your pivot is looser then the intended design calls for.

    Will these bearings fit the Civivi Praxis. Are they all a universal size?

    • @dailygearguide
      @dailygearguide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t have the praxis but they now offer a little tool where you can check all your knives to see which bearings will fit 👍

    Great videos! The auto focus makes it hard to watch, don't know what setup you have. Please I mean this with the best intentions.

    Those bearings are $25? Now it's a $75 knife. The satin blade on mine closes very easily, but ive also flipped it open and closed 100k times. Elementum isn't really a budget blade @ $50 bucks for it's size. WE knives has seen momentum on their budget line and I can see the prices slowly rising unfortunately.

      $11.50 for the pair in the US.

      @@dailygearguide This is really cool, but they're also charging $5 for shipping on what will surely be a regular envelope and cost them 45 cents :/

      @@alexazzopardi9914 I ship knives fairly regularly and postage is $7-9 on average. They come in those bubbly padded envelopes. I don’t know they can help shipping 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Imagine doing a skiff bearing upgrade but leaving the cheap factory grease.

    • @dailygearguide
      @dailygearguide  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shoot Civivi lube is nice, clean, clear and holds. Nothing cheap about the same $3-5 lube Civivi is using vs. what people buy to put in their knife after. Heck Medford says to use WD-40 lmao 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Except it may have been sitting in there for a year or two 😂 but no difference really in a box.

    As soon as you removed the pocket clip i knew you was clueless. They made zero difference. A drop of lube on the old bearing would have been better
