Greetings sir. I actually take 2:30 to 3:00 minutes rest in between sets. If I reduce it to 2 minutes, then I start getting muscle fatigue to the point where I couldn't even lift light weights for 10 reps and my joint pains are really bad. But if I take 3 mins rest in between sets, then my joints feel really good and I have no problems the next day. I train for hypertrophy in the 8-12 rep range with most sets taken to RIR(Rep in reserve) 1 or to failure, for about 8 months now. Is taking 3 minutes of rest in between sets bad or is that ok???? Can i still see good growth in my muscles in that rest time or should I definitely reduce it???? Hoping for an early reply.
