Meet the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly, along with our three adventurous children. Nine years ago, we embarked on an incredible journey, leaving our home in Alaska, USA, behind to explore the world. As teachers, we were fortunate to find amazing opportunities in Chennai, India, where we spent two enriching years. Seeking new experiences, we then made our way to the United Arab Emirates.
Just as we were settling into our UAE life, the pandemic struck, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Instead, we saw it as an opportunity for another chapter in our journey. We moved to Indonesia, where we currently hold teaching jobs, and it has been a time of learning, growth, and connection.
As a family, we thrive on traveling and embracing the unknown. Adventures are our way of life, and through our experiences, we aim to inspire our children to be confident in meeting new people, trying diverse cuisines, and immersing themselves in different languages and cultures.

What a fantastic vlog. I live in Scotland and have 4 grandchildren all around Granite & Cedars age or older than Granite and 2 younger than Cedar but older than Forrest, I love the kids names and the fun for me was watching them play with their cousins, their toys but the sheer joy on their faces is always a big winner even after 51hrs plus of travel. Love seeing what you are all up to. You seem to have a lot of school holidays as I wouldn't have thought you would have both a big summer and winter break.
Oh yes, it’s a little different. We are on the Australian summer break for December - January. We get 5 weeks for Australian summer and 5 weeks for US summer, then 2 weeks for Spring break and 2 for fall break.
That makes sense then. A good amount of holidays.
Seems the kids enjoy travelling more than school LoL. Making the other kids jealous. 😛. Next time, you ought to try travelling to China with your family too. Many Americans that been there say they love Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Guilin, Xian, Xiamen, Hainan, Yunnan, Kunming, Chongqing, Hangzhou.
You can watch videos like Americans in China and look at how surprised and entertaining it is. Just a thought for you and your family to try something different.
If you go to Great Wall I have to warn you it's a very tiring walk!!!!
And Japan is nice too, I prefer Osaka than Tokyo. And Kyoto is more traditional. But yeah, it's quite expensive.

Wow!! You really get the best of ALL worlds! How I would have loved to have grown up like this!! I grew up in Connecticut, so I know the cold, snowy holidays are really something special! Then I got older and less tolerant of the cold weather, so I moved to South Florida and traded it all in for sun, sea, and palm trees!!

I bought a 23 Silverado last February! My kids love all the room. I see you opted for the diesel? I got the 6.2L and put airbags under the rear.
Or in stead if splitting the time to have more time with each family do one visit just with her family. Next visit instead of going to her mom place go to his family place
