- Some people are of the opinion that I'm sometimes a little too kind or positive towards Nike products, but what if I told you that there was a time when I was BANNED by Nike! This actually happened. In today's video I tell the story of what I did to deserve a ban from Nike and what I did to work around this problem. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

Josh did play alot as a kid probably practiced like everyday idk.
This is why im surprised they went back to the split sole plate.

Myself plus 4 other players all got the release colorway and the front sole plate ripped off all 5 of them in less than a week. Was one of Nike’s biggest recall.
I had a pair of Legend 7s and after wearing them for a just part of a season, the kangaroo leather upper basically gave up and split down the middle. I didn’t realize that it had happened until after practice that night, and I was so upset that my beloved cleats had died that I actually cried😂. I never even returned them because I am so attached to them. Thanks for sharing your story! I really enjoy your videos

Has anyone else experienced Adidas boot failures. My first pair of Predator 18+ Turf boots had the upper come unglued from the midsole. Adidas refunded me and I bought a second pair. Now my outsole is coming unglued from the midsole! Do I just have terrible luck?
Predator Absolutes!! I remember being 15 years old working my first ever job at a sports store and unloading the first delivery of those, popping open the gold and black colourway and just admiring it.
When I used to play soccer I always just bought the cheapest boats so I've never known much about Nike boots. So the question might be weird. But from this story does Nike make anything good
Also got banned recently here in US. Was told that anything that comes from my address will be destroyed...( not returned)...regardless of the name and email address. So anyways that’s the story of how I got a PO Box and still return lots of stuff to nike
They banned me too. After sending In 4 pairs of Superflys 3s 😂 they got me on my 5th pair that I sent in, which were takedown CTRs. Fun times

Back then, I always thought Adidas boots were better built. Nike was playing catch up. Lot has changed since then...
Josh must be a heavy footed boi. Only issue I've ever had with any brand is the upper ripping from overuse after a MINIMUM of a year. I currently have 2 Adidas pairs and 2 Nike that I have had for YEARS. They are great. Maybe a little worn, but never had any cleats that straight up broke.

Same thing happened to me my senior year of high school. I kept sending them back because they kept breaking every 2-3 months. I finally got a letter with the last cleats I sent back telling me I could no longer send them back.
For one moment I thought you were legit banned for reviewing Nike products with adidas shirts or for making fun of ACC 😂...

I got banned as well! Although my claims were once every couple of months over a 5 year span
They also now have people fill out a claim online and they send you back a voucher for the value of the original price of the shoes
the system is just as simple in the US today as from what I know, 1 household, 1 person gets 5 claims a year but all you have to do is change your name and with no proof of purchase
My tiempo stud plate separated too..switched to adidas F50 n it never broke...had it for years

But also, I've always favored Adidas boots over Nike for literally that reason Jeff. On average, Adidas has always lasted me longer than me and my friends who wear Nike and constantly have broken boot problems. Adidas ain't the goat out anything but they really do make some durable boots. #Nemeziz
I have had problems with Nike boots in the past, my Nike CTR Maestri 3 broke after a few weeks, and my Tiempo legend 5 broke after a month. I think Nike is one of the brands with the least durable boots...

I know kids who do this every time a new color way comes out for new Nike boots and they have gone through tons of elite boots for the smallest chip on the shoe and Nike always replaces it

I dont get it, you must have been playing on concrete to constantly break top end models lol. I still have my vapor 4s, same model t90s you had and superfly 4s all still in good usable condition
I also have been banned I broke a pair of vapor ix's carbon fiber soleplate broke sent them back. Got a pair hyper venom 1's the upper ripped sent those back, got another pair of vapor ix's carbon fiber soleplate broke sent those in, claim denied. I had two pairs of magista obras break didn't even try to send them back. Now I have a pair super fly 6's elite I've had for two weeks and the same stud ripped off on both shoes. It's actually the same location that broke on the obras. It's been a few years so I'll try sending these back to Nike.

Only warranty claim I ever tried to make was with Puma Australia, the base plate tore off a little on my 8 year old son's boots...they told me it was the retailers responsibility, not there's...so I bought Nikes

You should have gone for lotto stadio with green bottoms, all black upper (except the logo). I still wear them 20 years later (a few pairs later). Nike was always a crap boot.

I sent back my flyknit ultras, which are probably my favorite boots, and I got a voucher for them but it was only worth 120. I had used nike claim service two or three previous times and it has worked so I knew I did everything right and i was confused why they only gave me part of the money back. So I called nike plenty of times and they kept on saying the same thing and being difficult, I even showed them my proof of purchase which is not necessary for a claim in the US and I read the terms and conditions to prove some of the employees wrong when they referred to them. All in all I was disappointed with there customer service. I finally got them to make an internal claim where they would check with the inspector that supposedly checked my cleats to see why the incorrect amount of money was set back. Weeks later I get an email saying that after checking with the inspector, the product I sent back was not the limited edition flyknit ultra worth 250 USD, but was a pair of sneaker called “Pegasus” worth 120 USD. I was in shock when I read this, because I never even owned or purchased a pair of Pegasus and i was very disappointed and upset with the customer service and claim system. I don’t know if they did this because I already made three claims, although it was in the span of three years and not four months. I learned that even though the directions when submitting a claim never state to place a proof of purchase when sending the product, it does not hurt to send one, so that the inspector doesn’t mess up. I’m know I already said this but i was very upset and in shock, because nike was straight up lying to me and I had no power to do anything. I loved the cleats and I love other nike products, but I am really mad about this incident and will be more careful when making any other claims, which by the way I am about to send back my vapor 12s, so wish me luck :)
Thats why I don't waste time with Nike, unreliable and overpriced, and they don't seem to really want to honor warranties. If I had to go Nike it would probably be the Premiers since the build is practically idiot proof, a K-leather soccer boot. But as its Nike, I'd be lucky if it last 6 months.

Nike only stops taking returns one year at a time. So a full calendar year after you would have been able to once again do returns.
This used to be a on the downlow return thing not alot of people knew about. Thanks to hella niggas like you, everyone caught on and i feel like theyre highly aware now.

The closest thing in shape to the Magistas are the Nike Phantom Visions.

lesson of the story, buy a fish (nike) and you'll be able to play for a couple of months, but buy a net (Adidas predators) and it will last you a lifetime
