I wish Levias had been hinted at earlier, like maybe people in Skyloft would talk about him, or maybe you could see glimpses of him in the stormy clouds. If he's such an important sky god, it's weird that he hasn't been mentioned up til now. Also, for a boss fight in the air and all that buildup with the new move, I wish your Loftwing was more involved, instead of just being a short first phase. But oh well. Sky Whales are still really cool. I'll still miss those stormy clouds.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks the Wind Fish is descended from Levias. There's just too much resemblance; I'm surprised fewer people notice.

One thing I do like about Skyward Sword is how it managed to put in little nods to nearly the entirety of the earlier entries in the franchise without being overbearing So with that in mind I was very happy with this segment when I first played through the game. Not because there's anything especially compelling about the game, but because Bilocyte and Levias are so clearly references to Bellum and Oshus from Phourglass, yet manage to feel like a natural addition to this game's narrative. Even the boss fight structure with ship-to-ship eyeball smashing and the sword tennis segment scream Phourglass.

LaSharcus I hate the levias fight. Learning the spiral charge is tedious, even though I'm really quite good with the bird, and the speed at which levias moves makes the fight really annoying.
I just adore the design of Bilocyte. Coolest looking eyeball boss in a Zelda game! And it's movements are so creepy. Reminds me of a Beholder from Dungeons and Dragons.
It's a cool fight, but I'd much rather have bird-back archery. One of my favorite things to do in Ocarina or Twilight Princess was get on my horse and try to shoot stuff while I was riding it. I do the same in Breath of the Wild. Think about how cool that would be. A lone man riding his bird through the stormy skies, trying to take down a sky whale infested with parasites with nothing but a bow. They could have a feature similar to breath of the wild, where time slows down when you take aim. Lot better than just flying at them.
Wait… At 10:51. That's what became the cooking sound effects and jingle in Breath of the Wild (with some improvements, of course)! I didn't think it had appeared in an earlier game, wow.

Just make sure you do Lanayru last because of a game breaking glitch. If you do something wrong on Lanayru's 3rd visit, you can screw yourself from getting the other 2 parts. I think the trigger is talking to Goron doing the excavation, but I still wouldn't chance it.
I remember liking the Faron and Eldin quests a lot when I played this in 2011, actually. I was younger, though, so my memory may very well be failing me lol
Chuggaa, that was the worst Break the Targets performance I've ever seen. It completely slipped my mind that the rainbow island was plot-important. It's been longer since I played this game than I thought.

When you visited Cawlin in Groose's room, it made me remember you mentioning his giant blue feather collection earlier in this playthrough. You said it was cool that he had them, but I remembered that Zelda's loftwing is blue, so it makes perfect sense for creepy early Groose.

To those that are new to Skyward Sword, when Chuggaaconroy heads to Eldin Volcano... Well let's just say the search for that region's dragon will start off with a bang of sorts.
There are tropes in every Zelda game (e.g. "It's a secret to everybody"). I think pumpkin soup became one. The yeti had it in TP, it's here, and you make it for someone in BotW. Kinda cool.

When you visited Cawlin in Groose's room, it made me remember you mentioning his giant blue feather collection earlier in this playthrough. You said it was cool that he had them, but I remembered that Zelda's loftwing is blue, so it makes perfect sense for creepy early Groose.
