The issue is that either the renter or the owner must in some way pay insurance and property taxes if they want a "permanent roof" with utilities like electricity, gas and water. Because of this, many people-at least in California, where I currently reside-are living in tents. No taxes, rent, mortgages, or insurance. The number of people who tell me they live in their car that I meet amazes me. Its crazy out here!

It’s getting wild by the day. The prices of homes are quite ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%). Sometimes i wonder if to just invest my spare cash into the stock market and wait for a housing crash or just go ahead to buy a home anyways.

I get such worries too. I'm 50 and retiring early. Already worried of the future and where its headed, especially in terms of financies and how to get by. I'm also considering making my first investment in the stock market, but how can I do so given that the market has been in a mess for the majority of the year?

Personally, I can connect to that. When I began working with "Catherine Morrison Evans," a fiduciary financial counsellor, my advantages were certain. In these circumstances, I would always advise getting professional help so they can steer you through choppy markets and just give you indicators and strategies for knowing when to enter and exit the market.

Great job, Amit, for being transparent with potential hires.
One imp thing i.would like to add is that the success of a Mortgage Specislist depends on tjeir ability to build their book of business. Given the difficult market with recessionary trend, it is not afvisable that they opt for this career as it can be financially challenging as one gets paid only after a mortgage is dispensed. Real estate sales being diwn, it has a negative impact on mortgage growth. Part time option seems feasible

I have 8 months saved up for bills and an emergency fund set aside for repairs. I did just buy a house and was able to get it for 8%. It was on the higher end of my budget but I have a few extra hundred to put away each month for repairs. The home is turnkey but I know expenses will come down the road which I'll be prepared for. Hypothetically speaking, given the worst case scenario and layoffs start happening; can my emergency fund be in good use to invest and linked to our mortgage to increase interest overtime? rather than defaulting on mortgage
Is that a feasible way to pivot?

Banks don't work with individuals until you are employed with them. With the brokerages, you share your commission but you get access to many banks and products for your clients which gives you and them a better choice.

@@chitchatwithshilpa Thank you for your reply. I understand but what if mortgage agent is working in bank like RBC, BMO, TD etc then i believe he gets paid by bank??
I only get paid by brokerage if i work for them not for bank??
So my question is related to bank do banks pay better than brokerage if i m working in bank or brokerage pays better if i m working in brokerage???

Yes but here as well the commission structure depends on your experience. The good part is the easy access to prospective clients as banks distribute leads with its agents.
