Fun video ! 😃 Cool Cub. This would be a great first plane. Friendly reminder, When you fly, put your back to the sun and remain in that position. Your welcome ! 😃😎
I just bought the volantex spitfire mini war bird rtf and it's a brilliant little plane to fly with rudder ,ailerons and elevator controls plus sma 6 axis gro and the ability to do a barrel roll with the press of a button this aircraft you have reviewed might just be my next purchase cracking video as usual keep up the good work from joff the trucker in the UK 🇬🇧
Today on Captain Drone we learn a little bit more about the fued between "Tractor Man" and Captain Drone. Today, and I'm not exaggerating, Steve claimed he could "sell a billion" of this RC Plane, and that it is the "easiest plane on the planet to fly". Like a Salad, Steve hand tossed the plane. Steve claimed the plane was not very acrobatic but oddly he was able to crash it and flip it over with ease? The plane is radio to go right out of the box and the plane cuts through the fog with ease. That is what we know, but what we don't know is how Steve made a rainbow mysteriously appear? What happened to his gloves in which on two of the four fingers tips on both hands were missing? Mystery of fued continues so stay tuned for more to come.
He has this exact plane? Could we get you to check if the unused "reserved" Ailerons and Brushless Motors sockets can be used - either with the stock transmitter or (more likely if at all) with a satellite receiver and good transmitter?
Well done Captain!; good to see "Tractor Man" back on the job!!; the change of location was actually awesome as the fog / sunrise added a very surreal backdrop!; the Plane looked pretty indestructible and love the way you switch into "unbox mode voice" !!!!!; now if we could just see an "unboxing" (or case would do !!!) of the DJI Inspire 2 !!!!!!
I few the real plane which has stick controls after learning in planes that had a wheel. Buy the end of the hour lesson in it, I was getting use to and landed it safely. It is a fun plane to fly. I would like this model as a reminder of that flight. Thanks for reviewing it. 😊
I often fly these little planes as you can just chuck them in the car + go !!!! i have the litle Volantex P51 + the toprace sky eagle from amazon both great little fliers greetings from Wales.
Steve, I’m pretty sure when you had your camera on the Top the CG was tail heavy the way it was crashing. You normally want a little bit nose down when your checking the CG. On balsa wings that has spars you would balance right over the spar, but since this is foam, you have to use like 1/3 of the wing from the leading edge, kind regards, Tom
Nope. The reason it was crashing is that the "CG" has to be checked nose-to-tail as well as wing-to-wing. Placing the camera weight that high on a little toy that is relying (mostly) on the wing dihedral to keep it upright was always going to end badly! This little plane (which is the old JJRC W-01 with a respray and a different board) is a nice frame for modifying but a bit expensive if buying for just that purpose. The 3-motor drive (a left-over from the WLToys F949 Cessna) is a very bad idea and, with no pop-off prop, prone to snapping the plastic drive shaft. Oddly the board has "reserved" sockets for "Ailerons" and "Brushless Motors" but nobody has definitively checked if they can be actived on this board. The S-bus and DSM satellite receiver sockets are at last getting widespread usage on these little toys to allow use of better Spektrum, Futaba, Multi Protocol, etc transmitters.
I have the same plane... When I taxi left rudder not response 😢.right rudder is ok. After open test the remote on the left rudder not work ( not self- center) even When I don't touch the remote 😢 please help. It kelp steering to the right. Motor mound is turn right.
Hey Captain, looking for some advice please, have a f-16 falcon edf jet v2 that i cant seem to get the ailerons to more in different directions, can you please help cause its done my head in! I really enjoy all yr work that you do on planes and drones , you got me hooked on planes... please help 🙏 thanks a million ❤
You can’t get the ailerons to move in different directions????? On an RC plane there is one servo for each aileron. One servo is a clockwise servo and the other is a counter clockwise servo. There is a servo cable that comes off each servo, so you have two aileron cables. Both cables go into a Y-Connector cable that brings them into one cable and then into one channel on your receiver. So when you move the aileron servo on the one channel, both move in opposite directions.
Whats weird is it turns like it has ailerons and banks instead of the kind of sliding while staying horizontal as other "only rudder" planes turn. That s my kind of flying, Kicked back, calm and no worrying about crashing an expensive plane . Its a shame it cant do a Loop, Heck my paper airplanes do loops
Do not purchase this airplane. I tried to purchase replacement propellers and they do not exist unless you go straight to kootai, and they (kootai) want $38.00 just for shipping, that’s half the cost of the plane.
You could use off the shelf props that you can pickup at any hobby store, but you’d have to be in the RC hobby so that you know what you’re doing. People in the RC hobby rarely by replacement props for drones, planes, from the manufacturer but instead use their own.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 A good suggestion Steve! Though it might be more apropos if the "review" included an overlay of the prop size (including mounting hole type and size) when showing what "comes in the box" - same for battery/battery slot size, especially when it is a slightly odd shape as used on this. That would make checking for alternatives before purchasing a little easier. No? 😉😊
I try to only put in the "minimum" when it comes to items on a product because unfortunately it causes a video to become longer and less interesting if I go on in detail about items, so I only point out the most requested items, such as battery types, motors, receivers, flight controllers, etc.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Yep. No argument about the length of the videos, Steve. Some "Reviewers" DO deliberately create excessively long videos in an attempt to hog the viewing audience (and income thus generated) so your shorter ones, that don't just waste our time also, ARE appreciated. But adding the information in overlays as requested does not increase their length. Though, of course, it does slightly increase your production time.
Christmas ideas for sure Steve!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Always great video can't for next video
Fun video ! 😃
Cool Cub.
This would be a great first plane. Friendly reminder,

Your welcome ! 😃😎
Time for a new comic. #Steve and the Traktorman 🚜🚜🚜😂👍
That rollie thing is called a loop😂
Tractor man must be following you around!
That’s a very cool plane for only 85 bucks it’s very very beginner friendly nice review Steve 🎉
Very nice little plane Steve. 👌👌
great footage as always captain.
Good afternoon captain nice plane cool review

Now that rainbow took plenty of my magic to make appear. Time for a cold one.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 maybe explains your gloves?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798😂😂👍🏼🤣👍🏼
I like the set up
Excellent video,, and excellent flying. Nice RC Plane. Thank you Steve.
Is the rudder assigned to the throttle/rudder stick or the aileron/elevator stick?
Right joystick, so if you fly RC planes with two joysticks (which is the norm) then all works out well.
Awesome.
My grandson has one. It's great

Very cool
Good day
Another good 1

Little planes are certainly fun to fly

Tractor Man snagging more airtime than Jedi Steve.🙂
I may have to put Tractor Man on the payroll
Hi Steve. For such a small plane. It flies very good. What is the brand of the double sided tape?........👍
I used the standard 3M brand
Hiya Steve. Thanks for all your vids, definitely influenced the hobby for me. I wonder if you fly wings?
I do indeed
Asking for some help, I purchased this exact plane and I have broken both props. Does anybody know where to get replacements propellers? Help please
Contact Ella at Kootai and ask about props (mention plane and model number): ella@kootai.com
Is there a company making that kind of small plane using elrs receivers? I would like to carry only one controller.
Not that I’m aware of, but I’m sure it’s coming

I’m sure if I kept trying then I’d eventually get a loop happening. With the fog I just didn’t want to lose sight of it.
Awesome video and great review! Available at Redwing RC.
Airplanes have ONE WING! Only biplanes have two
I love you sir, how can i talk with you personally?
I want more small planes but this one doesn't look cool and looking cool is half the battle 😅
