Walt Disney World needs a flume ride that showcases Disney versions of these American folk legends, including Johnny Appleseed, Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan, John Henry, Brer Rabbit, Ichabod Crane, Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn. Kids ought to learn about these American folk characters that have been forgotten to time & are an important part of our culture. Feature Disney songs.
Johnny Appleseed was a wonderful man indeed, he has been gone a long time now, but we will remember him forever. He is a Legend of soul! Lindsay Sidwell
such great memories! My daughter and I watched this Disney video SO MANY times during her childhood. Now she's an elementary school teacher and plays it for her students during Johnny Appleseed week! the circle is complete!
I watched that segment on Disney+ and, despite how cheesy it is, Johnny Appleseed's pretty charming. It's probably the mostbgrounded out of all the Disney American Legends shorts.
The Lord is most definitely good to me. 2 Corinthians 10-5 after coming to faith in Jesus is the most potent and powerful verse that a true follower of Jesus should learn, memorize, and enact daily. Want to see your entire life change that verse is the one that when followed by a believer will enable you to each day live your life in the manner that Jesus showed us all His way to do. I thank God daily for this song as it reminds me each day to awake thankful for this day that God has given to me. The gospel is so simple just these 3 things... 1 Jesus born fully man, 2 Died on the cross, 3 was resurrected on the 3rd day. If you have heard, read, or see this gospel message you will be held accountable for what you knew the day you stand before God's righteous and just throne. I pray each of you reading this accept Jesus as Lord and savior over your life, repent of the evil that you've done IE SIN yes everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and then pick up your Bible and read the redemptive love story that is for all mankind to find the saving grace that is the work of Jesus on the cross. Please this day choose whom you'll serve as for me and my house we'll serve the Lord. Maranatha!!!!

Interesting. Living in the city Johnny Appleseed was born in, I still had never heard this song till just now. Never knew there was a Disney movie about him!

Sorry, but I just had to laugh at "seeing it in the old days on TH-cam. " LOL. For most of us, the original "old days" was 30+ years before TH-cam existed.

I learnt this song many years ago back in the day at summer camp the name of the camp was Burt shurly when you came to the camp area that was a big tall Indian looking statue made of wood I was a member of Greater Mount Moriah Baptist Church 586 on Detroit Michigan
I am quite fine with that. What I'm not fine with is people trying to eliminate religion entirely from today's society. When I speak of religion, I speak of all of faiths: Christianity, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, ect. I am not fine with people saying trying to eliminate the faiths that this nation was founded upon. Yes, people may have the freedom to not have a faith, but they do not have the freedom to silence my faith and the faith of others.
When I was in pre-school, we used to sing this right before we ate. Now days, we they probably don't teach it any more, what with all of the crazy people around trying to kick Christianity out of our great nation. What will come next?
Apples seeds contain amygdalin, a cyanide and sugar compound that degrades into hydrogen cyanide (HCN) when metabolized. Cyanide is usually found joined with other chemicals in compounds: hydrogen cyanide, cyanogen chloride, sodium cyanide, and potassium cyanide. The body can detoxify cyanide in small doses, and the number of apple seeds it takes to pack a lethal punch is therefore so huge that even the most dedicated of apple eaters cannot ingest enough seeds to cause any harm. Apple seeds also have a tough protective coating. Unless the seeds are pulverized or masticated, the amygdalin they house remains safely contained within. Apple seeds have hard, durable shells that allow them to pass intact through the digestive systems of animals, a quality which helps the apple to reproduce by distributing its seeds to new locations far from the originating trees. Cherry, peach, and apricot pits also contain amygdalin; the latter two, at least, in potentially harmful amounts. Fortunately, peach and apricot pits are sufficiently large and hard that few people intentionally swallow or chew them. The anti-cancer drug Laetrile is a semisynthetic derivative of amygdalin; a cheaper version of laetrile produced in Mexico came from crushed apricot pits. So it seems that God has supplied food for our consumption as well as supplying other chemicals we can use as medicine... if we have the mindset that believes God made all things good and useful for us and we choose to look for it. If, on the other hand, we choose to believe nature is just a breeding ground for random living organisms that have no useful purpose except to struggle for survival then we will not be inclined to look to nature for our health and welfare... nor look to God. I have excepted that God has provided nature to be beneficial to us, if used wisely, because He loves us.
