    When you compare I Have A Problem to Riptide it’s honestly beautiful to see how much caleb has grown as a person and musician. So hyped for the new stuff.

    The song having a really addictive positive vibe while still remaining the catchy and chunky guitar Beartooth I have known just has me extremely excited for the bands future.
    Metalcore can use some more positivity and this nails it.

    I dig the upbeat and positive vibes of this song. I want to see more heavy bands embrace stuff like this.

    Glad to see Caleb happy. The song is a pure banger, one of their catchiest choruses imo. I also love how they choose a different color for each new era, orange for Disease, purple for Below, and now the blue/green.

    I was really happy with this song. That idea about not "romanticizing the riptide" was something I had to find in my life dealing with depression, etc. as well and loved hearing him talk about it. Also, the general positive vibe feels so fresh for the scene and yet feels very Beartooth as they've always had those poppy vibes. Imo this is a great example of how to do a typical straight-forward song structure but in a really fresh-feeling way.

    Beartooth is one of those bands for me man... Most of you know my take on repetitive structures by now, but, these guys are so damn catchy. They just always clicked with me. I can easily put any of their songs on repeat and I don't get bored even tho structurally speaking, it's ages away from reinventing the wheel.

    • @albreezy26
      @albreezy26 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just commented something similar. There's so many other bands that try to do this sound and I'll just write them off for being too "similar" or having nothing crazy to offer. But Caleb has always managed to just make the best version of radio hard rock I can stand to listen to. Beartooth doesn't necessarily reinvent the wheel but they just make consistently solid ass music, and that's hard to come by.

    Birb, baby, you’ve gotta check out Augury by a band called Synge.
    Based in Sydney, Australia - very recently out into the scene but it’s some seriously intriguing riffage and composure.
    They’ve released an EP recently to get their name out there but I’d love for you to check them out - reaction or no.
    Much love my man ♥️🇦🇺

    Beartooth has always done the things that I have criticized other bands for, yet I still listen to him/them somewhat regularly. I'm not entirely sure why, I can't place it, but this commercialized sound has always worked for them. Other bands should take note. Kudos to these guys man!

    So to preface my comment initially, I’ve been following beartooth since 2015 and also this is long and probably don’t read, but I’m so unbelievably happy for Beartooth and Caleb for everything they’ve done and he’s over come. It’s a good song but I’m just missing the Disgusting era to Aggressive stuff, which I know if I want that then listen to it, and I’m in no way dissing them for this song, but I guess I’m just sadly realizing they’re shifting gears and doing what they want which ultimately I’m happy for but sad because it’s not what I care for, I get it, the heavy stuff was him getting through his demons and I’m glad he’s doing better but I still want that heavy cutthroat riffs and those slamming bass lines and those perfect to a tee vocals that hit you on every note and octave and made you feel the emotion and the passion that, but I guess this is just a sad realization that the genre isn’t ever going to be the same as it once was :,(

    Daaamn dude, you really nailed it. No pros and cons nessecary.
    I think the Song is great, but didn‘t blow me away. Anyways the important message comes through and you feel the positive energy from Caleb. Always happy to see this kinda good change of perspective, health etc. in people. 💛
    Edit: and seeing them pushing out this song so soon after their newest album only speaks for Calebs enthuiasm to share his change with the world. So dope!

    Don’t understand why people get up in arms about the positivity or the shift out of super heavy. As someone who has seen them live nearly 10 times, their shows still pack an insane punch. Their development is awesome and it’s nice to know that Caleb isn’t in that tortured place anymore. As much as I love the earlier tracks, it isn’t fun to remember they were a product of his pain. Here’s to growth!
