I love how much you seem to care about the people you play for. I watch other creators who do this and to me it usually feels like they are trying to get to as many people as they can for more content, so seeing you spend over 10 minutes with one person simply because they want to hear more music is a great thing! It really feels like you care more about the human connection than the content

You should definitely go watch the movie. It's really good. I saw it in the cinema last week since its 10 years old now. It is better then most movies today. The soundtrack is very amazing and hits very hard in the movie. 10/10 recommended.

As always, Frank delivered with his emotionally touching and complex original compositions. We got experience a genuine masterpiece of deep emotional and musical connection. I felt it, Nick felt it, Frank felt it, hell, I think we all did. I'm hoping that this isnt the only time Frank and Nick connect. Sometimes things happen when we least expect it, may not even be aware that they are happening. To me this is/was a special moment. Of course all parties may not feel the same way and thats ok too....but I'd say youre brain dead if you missed it....
That last guy has got to be the longest segment in one of your videos EVER. And I thank you for putting it in like that. These videos will NEVER (I repeat: NEVER) be or feel too long. i dont know what it is but many piano things have their own charms which are kinda lost on me, but franks stuff has a lot of those gaming vibes or anime or whatever that brings you to awe and mystery and revelation and glory and unveiling and adventure and hope and all those uplifting and inspiring things and it's wonderful to be a part of the trip. It's like a whole world opens up before you and you're on an adventure and I don't know where we're going but I'm blessed to be there.
I'm so glad Frank gets to have genuine moments like that. Just someone truly appreciating him and his work. Hi Frank, always a pleasure to see and hear you play. I doubt you'll read this with all the comments you get, but I wanted to share a story of working with composer Hisaishi Jo (Joe Hisaishi) in Japan. Of course you know him - Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Momonoke, Spirited Away et al. I lived in Japan for 25+ years. In 1999, I was playing at a rooftop bar (guitarist and singer) and during a break, Hisahishi Jo approached me and we spoke. He asked me to audition for a movie has was writing, directing and composing for. I got the part. I think his thumb was on the scale for me. The character was a genius French conductor and I had to not only speak French, I had to conduct the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Gulp. He helped me. He took me into his world and kept me by his side in the control room as all the music was recorded and had the real conductor spend time with me. He knew I at least had some musical sense. He was (and is) such a great musical talent. I had to be a "great" conductor, not a so-so actor conductor. There were multiple cameras and standing on that stage with a real orchestra in front of me, waiting for me. After all the talking and blah, blah, blah, it came time to conduct. I had one of the highlights of my life when that scene was finished. There was 3 seconds of silence, and I was dreading that I had failed to deliver. Suddenly, the orchestra began pounding their feet - the way an orchestra applauds - and the entire crew and Hisaishi Jo were applauding. I did it. Anyway, he really is a cool, unassuming, brilliant composer and man. I trust he would appreciate your talent.

I have actually recently built up the courage to purchase the sheet music for KTANB and I have been practicing it a lot. As always, Frank delivered with his emotionally touching and complex original compositions. We got experience a genuine masterpiece of deep emotional and musical connection. I felt it, Nick felt it, Frank felt it, hell, I think we all did. I'm hoping that this isnt the only time Frank and Nick connect. Sometimes things happen when we least expect it, may not even be aware that they are happening. To me this is/was a special moment. Of course all parties may not feel the same way and thats ok too....but I'd say youre brain dead if you missed it....
That last guy has got to be the longest segment in one of your videos EVER. And I thank you for putting it in like that. These videos will NEVER (I repeat: NEVER) be or feel too long. I absolutely love long segments in your videos and long videos of you in general. I'm very sure people will stick around even if they're 30 minutes long. You are incredible and I'm happy to be following you these last couple of years!

i dont know what it is but many piano things have their own charms which are kinda lost on me, but franks stuff has a lot of those gaming vibes or anime or whatever that brings you to awe and mystery and revelation and glory and unveiling and adventure and hope and all those uplifting and inspiring things and it's wonderful to be a part of the trip. It's like a whole world opens up before you and you're on an adventure and I don't know where we're going but I'm blessed to be there.
I'm so glad Frank gets to have genuine moments like that. Just someone truly appreciating him and his work. TH-cam comments and what not can only go so far, but someone taking the time to listen over and over without previously being a fan of his? That's gotta be a whole different type of validation.

Hi Frank, always a pleasure to see and hear you play. I doubt you'll read this with all the comments you get, but I wanted to share a story of working with composer Hisaishi Jo (Joe Hisaishi) in Japan. Of course you know him - Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Momonoke, Spirited Away et al.
I lived in Japan for 25+ years. In 1999, I was playing at a rooftop bar (guitarist and singer) and during a break, Hisahishi Jo approached me and we spoke. He asked me to audition for a movie has was writing, directing and composing for.
I got the part. I think his thumb was on the scale for me. The character was a genius French conductor and I had to not only speak French, I had to conduct the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Gulp.
He helped me. He took me into his world and kept me by his side in the control room as all the music was recorded and had the real conductor spend time with me. He knew I at least had some musical sense. He was (and is) such a great musical talent. I had to be a "great" conductor, not a so-so actor conductor.
There were multiple cameras and standing on that stage with a real orchestra in front of me, waiting for me. After all the talking and blah, blah, blah, it came time to conduct.
I had one of the highlights of my life when that scene was finished. There was 3 seconds of silence, and I was dreading that I had failed to deliver. Suddenly, the orchestra began pounding their feet - the way an orchestra applauds - and the entire crew and Hisaishi Jo were applauding. I did it.
Anyway, he really is a cool, unassuming, brilliant composer and man. I trust he would appreciate your talent.

There was something really cussing special watching Frank perform that mini concert, especially when he started playing his own pieces, which are MASTERFUL by the way.
