Great as always, Nick! Loved this gradient effect in the text! And congratulations in advance. The channel is reaching HALF MILLION subscribers. That's AWESOME!
Man, thank you so much for all your incredible Inkscape tutorials! Thanks to you, I started designing icons and UI elements in Inkscape for open source projects as a hobby!
You are always showing me more efficient ways to use this program. Always worth it to tune in. Thank you for your work, Nick. And thanks for the lens flares too!
Thank you so much. I enrolled in your inkscape class and am learning so much. I need to enroll in the gimp classes. I need a lot of help there. Lol Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Hey Nick, I see all these videos about "Black Knockout & Halftones" for t-shirt designs to go on Black shirts, but they all use photoshop. Could you do a similar video showing it done in Inkscape? Thanks.
Is there a way to align objects relative to objects below them? Example: I'm designing a keyboard, but I want to align the letters according to their keys, doing it one by one is a pain. So is there a way I can select all the keys with all the letters and have the letters align within their respective key at once. I haven't found a way to align objects relative to the ones below.
Hey Nick, I love the work you do and your easy to follow teaching methods. Glad to be a subscriber for years now. One thing though.... I've noticed many of your videos (especially recent ones) have RIDICULOUSLY low audio levels. One thing that's always been present is some reverb like it's an integrated laptop mic or something, but now it's hurting your content because I can barely hear what you're saying and then to top it off your Outro comes blaring through (which in my opinion could also use a boost and/or compression filter applied to raise its audio level more in line with average TH-cam audio levels). I hate to sound like a negative Nancy or something, but with what you're presenting, your verbalizing what we're seeing in realtime is pretty much required, I think. There are some really great mics that are very budget friendly. Even the Sennheiser earbuds with in-line mic are REALLY good (Sennheiser CX 80S). You can find them on Amazon for $29.90 shipped (with Prime of course). Anyway, still love the mission you're on and have been on for a long time. Long time subscriber and hope to stay that way (bought the full master class too;) ). Cheers!
I hear ya, the problem is this new screen recording software I’ve been using. I have a good mic but the app doesn’t process the audio well for some reason. Looks like it’s time to go back to OBS.
@@LogosByNick Yeah it's almost like it was not really pulling from the mic you intended or something. I support the decision to use OBS anyway because I'm an OBS fan. "You can't go wrong with OBS". My opinion of course. ;)
A funny alternative way to do this is by duplicating the black part, aplly offset path effect to it, convert it to path and the combine with the original black part 😅.
For free? Are you kidding or what? It's a MasterClass and worth each penny I invested in it. It's only 17 dollars. At this price, it's a steal. I paid for it and I never regret it.
I tried the latest version on my Linux system, and it keeped freezing or crashing. I have 8G Ram and 500G HD. I reverted to what works: Inkscape 1.2. Maybe by the end of 2025 they'll have most of the bugs fixed.
Nick you are an absolute wizard with this, thank you so much for these videos

Another very instructive video, keep up the good work. I would be happy if you could create a Victorian logo.

Show!
can I enroll in inkscape and gimp master class for free?
Don't think so. Learn from YT.

I can highly recommend Nick’s course. It’s thorough, regularly updated, and Nick promptly responds to questions. Well worth it.

I think it has a simpler use than AI.
Great tutorial. Thank you !
