Agreed such a unique soul and life can't be easy being the son of hank no nepotism there that boy is as good as all of the great country artists I've heard some people say he is the goat 😮 songs like this definitely put him in the picture
Hank was a party guy but he was way more talented than the rest. Saw him in bama in 89 they had to prop him up but he still played better sloppy drunk than I could sober!
It’ll all make sense and work out one day Beverly. Not to minimize your feelings, I can definitely sympathize. It’s all temporary though and will come together in the heavenly kingdom! 😃
Grew up on Hank, coe, Daniels, and the rest of the classics.... I feel like I relate to dinosaur now more than ever. Those were the real artists we won't ever see the likes of again.
Remember being 4 or 5 years old getting sent to the corner of the room in kindergarten for singing Family Tradition. My daddy turned me onto the outlaw Era music and I'm 44 years old still listening and missing my dad everyday.
Love his impersonation of George, and playing his guitar like Johnny Cash.... Merle Haggard could also do great impressions of his fellow friends/musicians/peers. Love how these guys love and respect each other's talents!!!
The fact that Hank Jr and Waylon were both tuned up out of their minds on coke at this point makes it funnier for some reason. They eventually “rowdy’d all down” and are all geniuses in my book.
Love this video. I discovered Hank’s music in 1982 when I was 19, and he is my all-time favorite performer and entertainer, by far. My curiosity was getting the best of me as I was trying to figure out where this clip came from. I did a little research, and it seems it’s from a 1984 show called Waylon Jennings and Friends. There were reportedly eight parts/episodes. There’s a TH-cam channel called Angie Rockgiirl on which she has posted them. I’m sure someone will let me know if my information is incorrect, so I apologize in advance. I just felt that since I was so curious about it, I figured that there are others wondering, as well.
Thank you! I’ve been wondering the same thing for the past year but never did the research, after seeing various of short clips on Facebook I finally told myself I’d finally try and track down the whole video. You just saved me so much time probably lol
That's a great video! I'm really glad Hank is now in the Hall of Fame, love, Kris,Waylon, and Willie . Garth Brooks is a phony, these guys are what Country Music is. Keep on rolling,Bocephus, and Willie!!
I love these good Ol boy’s this is a timeless classic and I’m so glad they got it on video to watch over and over. Never get enough of this amazing moment. 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is real country folks ! If you like old country this video will about give you chills ! It really is electric , and Hank Jr blew anything he did out the roof ! You can tell how close all yall were. N how much you really felt your music. There was a sense of friendship, or family, loyalty, & brotherhood. That you rarely find in music today. Here in 2024 this music will never die from the people who know what real music is. Im a 23 year old thats been singing along to hank sr and hank jr. Theres no better music than old country music cause it always means something and has a story wether its good or bad.
I swear I've seen this video so many times in the last 8-10 years. Fewer and fewer as the years go by, but still, yeah, I come back because it's so genuine.
jealous of all the people who lived and saw them live..thanks pops for showing me real country music , im defiantly going to play this at my buddies bachelor party dedicating this to all my friends
Random thought, but that wouldve been so cool if Hank jr was one of The Highwaymen. I get why he wasnt, he was huge at the time and had his own thing, but that wouldve been amazing.
The Johnny Cash part was great. I always liked Johnny Cash, I even consider him my favorite of all time, but recently got more into country when I found an old Hank Williams Jr. vinyl (Whiskey bent and hell bound) that was in a bin filled with my grandpa's old records. I'm beyond greatful for being blessed with them, and I'm only gonna buy more now, I wish I coulda had conversations with him about country music.. There's so many records, may his soul rest easy, hope I'm makin him proud by giving his record's a spin again, idk why it makes me emotional thinking he was the last one to enjoy the songs 😅
Imagine sitting around with those guys and being the common thread among them all.?.?.? Yeah, a lot of them are close friends but usually with one or two of the others. Hank Jr. is tight with all of them. Hank Jr. is the most well rounded C&W, entertainer in history. Blues, Country, Rock......whatever it is, he excels at it all. Plus, he's a real American patriot. I can't count how many times I have watched this video. this is great country music history.
Billy McIver I can't count on two hands and both feet how many times I've watched it since the day before yesterday.
Very underrated, my brothers and i love this.
Never been a big fan of Jr. but this is really good!!!

The George Jones really killed me🤣🤣
@@moeperry3606Same here. Even his singing was all over the road. 🤠
Why do I watch this over and over. Can’t quit listening to hank’s impersonations I love Kris’s reaction to his George impression
Because this has real country singers and it's one of the songs that's real country music
I know what you mean. I've watched quite a few times myself and I'm sure I'll watch some more.
Because this era bocephus just put 9 albums on the charts at da same dam time! He was WAAY Betta than the rest.
Because they partied with george jones and he was the rowdiest of them all and the impression is on point 😂 it's hilarious 😂
Me to that I've had on repeat all night
Well, hey! Who's listening in 2024?
Here❤❤❤❤❤

Because he’s timeless. That’s why we’re here. 😎
All the time
Moi chef
Waylon, Johnny, George, are all gone. All we have left is bocephus, willy, and kris
Dont forget David allen coe, Charlie pride, and Loretta
@@jimmyfarrell4275 Coe? David Allan Coe was NEVER a star. Coe was C-list at best. Nobody in Nashville liked him because he was a loudmouth and a liar.
Catfish Cooler David Alan coe was a 100% country music star no question, might need to go check your facts again pal
Mainly Willie.
Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Dwight Yokoam, Buddy Brown.
The most successful son to ever fill a dads shoes???
+Neil Tipton Filled his shoes and more!
He didn't fill his old man's shoes, he filled his own shoes.
jesus up there too
Not even in the same ballpark as his dad
Probably.
In my opinion this was one of Hank Jrs best songs he’s ever done ❤️
I agree! I always come back to watch this video. The song, this performance - I love everything about it!

He has a lot to choose from. Not many so called country groups or singers do old school country. Not in today's crap.
Willie is stoned out of his mind
As usual, lol.
I love Hank William Sr he have the good cool country music ever
As well as still being better than the newbies from the past 20 or so years.
High as a Space Shuttle.

I love Kristofferson’s reaction when Jr did George Jones. I love this video
@Avingay Anfordstay what the hell are you on about???
I never realized how great his rhythm is on an acoustic
Ya the chords sound different too.
Hank was a party guy but he was way more talented than the rest. Saw him in bama in 89 they had to prop him up but he still played better sloppy drunk than I could sober!
@@budstik He's playing in the same key as the original.
Lol.
The album version is more tame. That's usually how it is for artists and they go HAM live.
Still listening in 2024
You can't be more of a country insider than this man is, Junior's holding court right here
Ole hank had many great teachers
This is a piece of musical history I love how they are there while he sings about the past and present
It is 2023 and I am still listening to Hank Williams Jr
Hall of Fame crowd right there. Every guy is a country legend.
Underrated and underappreciated by the larger music community.
This music never goes away. It's like wine, it gets better with age.
Love all your songs. Lost my Daughter 2 years ago, we would always sing karaoke, Family Traditions, miss her so much.

One of my favorite traits of the singer songwriters that I love is a sense of humor. Hank Jr clearly has it as did his father.
