The fish you described that looked like an angelfish that was wearing a crown sounds like a Queen Angelfish. They are quite beautiful! You will also see a lot of French Angelfish in the Caribbean, but they look very different, also beautiful. Paul Humann's Reef Fish ID books are the gold standard we scuba divers use to identify critters underwater. Edit: Lo and behold, there is a French Angelfish in the video! At 11:00, the disc shaped fish with white lips and gold specks on a blue body center right on the screen is a French Angelfish!
Khiara, try sprinkling some Rosemary spice in your fish foil pack for the bar-b-que. It goes well with the butter, garlic, and maybe a bit of onion and lemon pepper.
It's been 45 years since I managed an aquarium shop while in college but here's my fish guesses. The green parrot fish was a green parrot fish. The blue tangs were blue tangs. The long skinny fish with a trumpet shaped mouth were trumpet fish. There was a French angelfish on the second dive that was black with yellow highlights in the scales. And a fish fact from Jacque Cousteau. According to Jacque, parrot fish make 80% of the sand in the world. That fact sounds dubious. However, when diving, I've watched parrot fish crunch coral with their odd teeth and seen sand come out the other end. So, maybe so. For racing, I suggest sticking to mid-week beer can races. You race 3 hours while drinking beer and then drink more beer while socializing in the clubhouse.
Please take all the Lionfish. They are pests. Love the walkabout but find it inconceivable that you can do it barefoot. There’s no way I could do it! Nice episode. I love your enthusiasm! What a joy to watch. Stay safe!
We went to Colombier after we saw you at Ile Forchue. What a wonderful spot. We really enjoyed the hike around the mountain to Anse Flamands where we had a fabulous lunch at Chez Rolande.
Always a lovely episode with you two. Cute and adorable. As for the Lionfish shoot them all. They are the destroyers of sea life. Stay groovy and stay safe.
Lionfish hunting. If you are on vacation in Curacao and interested in participating in lionfish hunting, you can contact the local dive centers (Divers Republic) to learn how to search and shoot lionfish underwater, and help to keep the reefs healthy and free of coral devils. After the dive, they will explain the best way to clean the fish and you can take your own lionfish home, and have one the nicest fish dishes on the island.
Spaanse Water Curaçao is a great anchorage. We anchored over nearest to the fuel dock which is closest to restaurants and dinghy dock at the fishing Harbour. One issue is that customs and immigration are in town with a very limited bus service. Car rental companies will deliver to fishing boat Harbour
Beautiful scenery and wonderful job of videography and editing. Between your being so enthusiastic and having one of the most captivating smiles Ive seen, how could we be anything but happy after viewing one of your videos? I could sit back with a glass of wine and listen to you talk about Turtles all evening. Just something about the way you pronounce the word and your excitement I guess or should I have said "I Reckon"? Yes Adam, your a great guy too! Your half of what makes an outstanding team. Keep up all the hard work and thank you for bringing us along side!
there are no cuttle fish in the Carabbean they are Caribbean reef squid, from wikipedia. They have an unusual biogeographic pattern; they are present along the coasts of East and South Asia, Western Europe, and the Mediterranean, as well as all coasts of Africa and Australia, but are totally absent from the Americas.. I once had a remora try to attach to my mask as I was grabbing on to a boat ladder....surprisingly it was quite scary. Love you videos. Cheers
Be vigilant down there. I was once on a cruise that was supposed to stop in Aruba but was diverted to Grand Cayman because of a hurricane. They do get that far south occasionally.
Nice video. Fair passage. You'll enjoy Spanish Waters. I'm a big fan of Bonaire if you want to bash to windward about 50 miles. Dutch Islands are wonderful.
Any episode that quotes Stepbrothers is a winner in my book. Do you have any issues getting insurance for your boat being in the Caribbean during hurricane season?
I think it's not "if Adam should doa Golden Globe" I think it's an imperative for him to try. But then: No don't. The Golden Globe is the hardest most dangerous race a sailor can do rivaled only by a Vendée and Minitransat ...
Always such an enjoyable video. I’ve been meaning to tell you since you changed your intro music, love it. You two seem like such a fun couple. Enjoy Curaçao. Can’t wait for the next episode
Adam this is Houston: You Are Go for Golden Globe 2026. Go for Golden Globe 2026, Over. (Dana aboard SV Stella Rose - and not in Houston 😁) #goldengloberace
..... laughing .... you need a big sign ..... "Lion Fish Extraction In Progress" .... or instead of extraction use culling, but culling seems to be a word that gets certain groups on the save everything bandwagon marching .... thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
Love Curaçao, but be warned. If its not bolted down or in a very secure area it may not be there when you get back. Much higher crime rate than Aruba or Bonair
Guys been watching for 2 years??? Everthing has been fix and go the break and fix and go and on and on!!! But I've stayed bc you two are awesom! And now to see the biggest smiles and good within your own minds vlog from ya is just awesome!!! A+++!!!!! The both of you of you looked happier than I have ever seen! Head south!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎

6:00 "Turtle! Oh my God!"
So turtles are the squirrels of the sea?
Another great episode guys.

Always exciting to see the marine life.. have seen so much disappear from our coastline over the years. Nice video shots.
Enjoy sailboat ⛵️ video! Under ocean view of water and fish 🐠 , so beautiful! Location you both at looks great ! 😘⛵️😀 Mike from Missouri
Have a great crossing! Very nice island vid . . . thank you

Groovy?? LOL Lovely couple they Are!!😃
I am off to train with an RYA school in the Caribbean next year to do my yacht master creds - this is so exciting to see - thanks for the blog
Fun video! The underwater shots were fantastic. I love all your videos and look forward to every one of them!

The odds are that I will die before I get tired of watching you guys!! As long as Khiara continues to do most of the narrating that is !! ❤️❤️😃👍👍
You are a pretty lady with an incredible smile. I always feel better after watching you enjoy life.
Nice video. Fair passage. You'll enjoy Spanish Waters. I'm a big fan of Bonaire if you want to bash to windward about 50 miles. Dutch Islands are wonderful.
I always enjoy your episodes! Cheers!
Turtle lady is SO adorable.
Love that yellow and blue winch handle ... looks like FisherPrice :P
I've seen crowded lobsters before. Appeasements are expensive for them.
How was the fish? Looked yummy! You guys always have such positive energy it's a pleasure to watch 🤗💞
You must go back to Guadeloupe in the future, brilliant place to visit!
Yes, time to head south !! be safe !
We were like, “What is THAT’ an old folks home for lobsters 🦞 3:13. 🕒
Or a Detention Center for wayward lobsters 🦞🦞🦞 or something..?? 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Any episode that quotes Stepbrothers is a winner in my book. Do you have any issues getting insurance for your boat being in the Caribbean during hurricane season?
Are you heading to the Pacific this winter?
What about the Vendée Glove? Almost same route but tougher for some reason and more prestigious
I’m never bored on our boat. Unless I’m hiking in the cool mountains I’m not interested.
Kiara's modeling career definitely showing off in this episode... Love you both, but DAMN!!! 🙂
Amazing episode you guys. Thanks!
Get a couple of mountain bikes to charge around on! Or a couple of folding bikes to save on space.
i would love to see you do the Golden Globe Race! Better get started!
why are we surprised to see abundent fish life in a marine park where they are not fished to extinction
After watching Ryan & Sophie and James & Philippa in Bonaire, you might want to consider a mooring ball there instead of Curaçao?
I think it's not "if Adam should doa Golden Globe" I think it's an imperative for him to try. But then: No don't. The Golden Globe is the hardest most dangerous race a sailor can do rivaled only by a Vendée and Minitransat ...
i know it's too late, but i wish some of you bloody sailors would visit trinidad :-(
Khiara: "Ooh, I'm so buoyant"
Did anyone else think of a MaeWest?
Fun video!
GO for the Golden Globe....I vote yes
If you are planning on going to Colombia, I live in Santa Marta. If I can help, just ask
It would help if you leave the text up more than 1 second. Takes 3 to 5 to recognize and read.
Isn't there a fish identifying APP out there somewhere?
Great video as always
Kiara’s cooking show 🙄. Ha Ha, Self inflicted fun. You both make me smile in every episode.
Just looked it up Saint Barts has lion fish rodeo's in the National park last one in April. 174 were caught and killed
Always such an enjoyable video. I’ve been meaning to tell you since you changed your intro music, love it. You two seem like such a fun couple. Enjoy Curaçao. Can’t wait for the next episode
Are you going to the Annapolis boat show in October?
Thinking about that teaser for Starlink-do you plan to discuss your setup and Starlink performance?
Curacao = Venezuela. Is that a safe destination these days?
where is this?
Fantastic video as always

Hey guys how are you, you were one of the first TH-cam videos I watched and now I just can’t get enough. I hope you’re having a blessed and great job!
Did I miss a Grosse Pointe Blank reference I am worthless
Stop in Curacao for like 2 days & get to Panama.
Its rain and lightening season in Panama
@@nvrmor023 😥
Always fun. Thanks, you two! 🎉😎💯👌🏽
Smashing!
Can't you catch Lionfish within a national park, being invasive species?
Adam this is Houston: You Are Go for Golden Globe 2026. Go for Golden Globe 2026, Over.
(Dana aboard SV Stella Rose - and not in Houston 😁)

One of the prettiest episodes in a while. Great work.

It should be perfectly okay to shoot invasive Lionfish regardless of where they are... even in a Marine Park.
We thought the same, but no. No spearing of any kind in parks. Not even invasive species. Too easy to BS about why you’re in the water w a spear.
@@tracyoliver550 I know, Tracy, but one can at least wish! 🤣 And it seems I have a lot of support here. 👍
Turtle!
Dunno... I think that I would really miss Khiara...
♥️♥️🥰🥰
😎☀️👍
😀👍👍❤
So are you only doing a video once a fortnight now?
:-)
