One of the main things that I cannot stand about all bmw’s, is the constant randomly timed giant orange fault code warnings on the dash. If you have ever ridden one of these at the track, and been leaned over, feeding in power, trying to catch a glimpse of tach, and instead you get that warning, you know what I mean. Unacceptable. Distraction at a key moment. No thanks. Great job on the tune. I just had to vent bro. 🤣 🐉🥷🏽💚🦾
If you tune using 5th gear you get a more realistic hp number, and you also gain some bandwidth in the afr data, lets you clean up that afr line to perfection with less effort. Just my humble opinion. I have been tuning with Woolich since 2013. Great job brother! 🦾🫡🤝👍
We usually choose between 4th and 5th (usually whichever is closest to 1:1 ratios). I mentioned in this that he was stock gear ratio but in reality he was at -3 in rear. So in this case, I decided to tune in 4th. But appreciate the feedback bro! And yeah I joined woolich in about 2013 as well ! I remember calling Sharon at night due to time differences between here and AUS 😅😅😅 How times have changed lol
@@provenpowercycles and @niobium23 Have either one of you ever seen Woolich software say, "The ECU VIN is not available. The VIN is required to write to this ECU" I was still able to read the ECU and pull the VIN from the ECU, but it will not write back to the EUC. Woolich support even had me Read the ECU and try to write that file back to it and it failed. I had already flashed the ECU several times trying to clean up that 2nd gear hole on my 24 s1krr. I called the shop number today asking about a remote tune, I left the guy that answered some details and he said he would get you to call me about it.
I need to have my 2024 re dynoed i did a shoot out at a harley event and it only read 187.52whp, btmoto velocity stacks, ait relocation, SLR-tunning tune, arrow headers+ mid-pipe stock akrapovic muffler on pump 93, stock air filter flapper delete. I also have the arrow muffler this bike has but its just so fkn loud i cant hear my music in my helmet makes my ears ring and was told ill make more power with the akrapovic
Congrats, been waiting to see what folks are able to do now that the Woolich is out for this platform. If I was local I’d be reaching out to you to do my 23. Question for you: BT makes a big deal about how difficult it is to tune this platform, especially the 23’s. Seems like it did take a significant amount of work on your part, but you obviously were able to figure it out. Does that mean there’s not one specific barrier to entry for tuners, or some secret sauce BT has that nobody else can replicate to tune or crack this ecu? Seems to me it’s just a complex machine that takes significant time and effort to get right. Is that fair to say?
Tuning is tuning. Once you understand HOW something works then you can make changes and test different theories out and see what works best. The more time you spend working on something, the more you understand it. Now that I have a pretty damn good basemap, I can utilize it for future BMWs and see how it works and tweak that per bike from there. Not every map will get me close based on mods or condition of motor/parts on bikes (this applies to all bikes, not just bmws). Trust me, BT took a while to develop maps as well. It's never an overnight success, even though it seems like it a lot. I also have 10 years of experience in tuning. I know tuners who don't even want to touch these bikes because of the risk involved. A few wrong key strokes and you can blow a motor up. Not everybody wants to assume that risk.
That’s a lot of fault codes smh bmw guys well let’s see here the bikes on a dyno ecu receiving throttle inputs and gear position signals ddc signals but the front wheels not moving at all? Glad bmw engineers aren’t as empty headed.
What’s safer? Getting something like a Bren Tuning flash on a handheld or getting a custom tune on a dyno? I don’t care about max power, I just want the flat spot gone, and reliability
@ChokolateSushi23 custom dyno tune all day. A mail in flash will help for sure and Bren does have their mapping down pretty good. But with a custom tune you can see all the imperfections that need to be tweaked vs the flash is just that. A 1 size fits all type of map 👍
Most of 2023-24 S1000RR BMW owners run full exhaust and sprint P-08 filter wonder what hp this bike will make stock bt stage 1,2, and your custom map ..were realizing they are focusing on deleting wings what do our bikes really make.. can you run that im happy with offering my bike but i live in Toronto.
Wish i was closer to you guys. Even my local tuner is trying to sell a handheld over a full customization with his dyno, possibly makes more money that way or maybe he doesn't own all the woolich accutrements i dunno. What's your thoughts on a normie tuning himself (with no dyno) with the woolich and using the auto tune feature with wide band lambda installed?
If you are just messing with AFR tables then I don't see why not. It's a little in depth if you have never dealt with tuning platforms before but still manageable all in all. Just depends on how comfortable you are messing with your bikes ECU and how confident you are to fix a problem if something doesn't go right.
@@provenpowercycles thanks man. One more thing, bren talks alot about the 80% WOT restriction that they have unlocked to 100%. I'm not seeing anything in the woolich videos or tutorials that addresses this. Snake oil?
@@dhall5634 I am tuning mine (24 s1krr with Woolich). I was doing great until I hit a VIN error. I am working with Woolich tech support currently trying to resolve it. They did just start on the issue early this morning, so it might take a day or so. If you aren't a member on the s1000rr forum you should join, we have a open discussion going on over there about it. A few guys posting there use it.
They actually patched the software for this issue, and I tested this morning and it writes to the ECU now. Hi Jason We have found the issue, this particular ECU is storing the VIN at a different location in the EEPROM, we have updated the code to check for this and it should now work allowing you to write to the ECU. This will be available in the next release of WRT which will go out in the next couple of hours.
Never let a guy tune your bike if he isn't willing to show you the flash and everything he changed on your ECU.

My bros bike gonna be going hard you tuned him up
Those Arrows put out some really good power, and sound damn good. definitely looking at one to replace my Graves on my 17zx10r.
I like arrow for sure. Don't have a ton of data on them but the data we do have so far has been good 👍

What u can say about Carita tune? More people says they are better than bren
You might be tuning my 23
Can u do remote tune via handle like bren?

Looking forward to it
