I have gotten one of those puzzle toys for my piggies! I do recommend it surprisingly! My pigs were able to figure it out pretty quick, even the sliding part 😊

My guinea pigs love the plastic balls, they always know what to do as soon as it comes out. they also like This wooden boredom breaker where they have to pull or nudge the wooden circle out to get the treats.
Had the fright of my life this morning. We took in 3 little girls that we're 7 weeks old, had them 6 weeks. Just this morning one of them gives birth so now we have 4 baby GP's. She must have been pregnant at the time we picked her up. Mummy is white and grey but baby is pure ginger so we called her biscuit. Biscuit is super cute and fits in the palm of my hand weighing in at a massive 141g.
Oh wow I wish you luck on your journey with them. Make sure to watch some video about nursing guinea pigs you need to give them special care I think, not sure if you already knew!

Oops that should have been 2 lovely babies. We had to regime the little boy but kept the girl Pecan who will be 3 in August snd had never left her mummy!! Nutmeg the mum was a fantastic mum to the two of them even though she was so young herself still. It was lovely to be able to have babies even though it was unplanned of course. Biscuit sounds wonderful- that’s a very large baby piggy!! 😊👍🏻
Thanks Sarah, loved today’s video. We have the Living World toy and it’s quite good. There are 3 levels of challenge with it too. Only 2 of my 7 piggies can lift off the cups using their teeth which is clever and looks very sweet. The others just randomly knock them over until the treats are revealed! Will try the Rosewood box I think as that one looks nice too. Love Phoebe’s circle turn- so cute 🥰 Have a lovely weekend xx

Congrats, it was because I came across scottysanimals that I went and adopted three girls - despite being 63. He inspired me so much along with Saskia at LAGPR. They are brilliant in their knowledge and health care. I now have a heated thermostatically controlled 9 x 5 foot space for them - they love it. I have trained my two boys so they give paw on demand .. run round in circles and can be called by name .. my girls are only about 4 months old so they are getting there .. slowly but surely 😂 I’m getting another 2 piggies in a few weeks time and have built them a big Wendy house .. In fact, I have been thinking about this exactly- my two boys do seem a bit bored, even in a 2’x6’ diy C&C cage. I’m trying to interact daily with them (I’ve only had them about three months) and I hope one day they won’t run when I want to pick them up. (Once I am holding them, they are fine). And, I haven’t done much floor time because honestly it is messy/time consuming and I have physical limitations. But I do want to do more and to see them enjoy it instead of running into a hidie to stay! So I have two questions, please. The first is what things you add to hay to make it more interesting. And, when you put the hay in a plastic bin as you have, what stops them from peeing and pooing in it and then eating dirty hay? Lol
My two pigs were raised in a big group and still after several weeks of playing with them, they are still a bit skiddish. They rarely come over to me and I have taken several of your suggestions, like putting food in my hand in their box and waiting for them to come over but once they did but only when I removed their little hiding boxes. They are getting better about me holding them for short periods. If you have any other suggestions - I'm open, thanks!

I would loooooove to have floor time with my piggies but I rent an apartment that is all carpeted and the only non carpeted areas are the bathrooms, kitchen, and balcony (Astro turf). So how do you keep them from peeing on the carpet, and if you don’t, how do you clean up after them without it damaging the carpet?
Maybe lay down thick towels/ blankets across your floor. You might need to give them less space but if you make sure the towel/ blanket is thick; there will probably be no problem maybe
If you have smart piggies they will like the Living World “puzzle” but the others will likely not care much. Edit - your pigs that do tricks are definitely smart enough 😊
Can someone help me out! My one piggy pees on everything?! Constantly. It makes it hard to give them lots of toys and big piles of hay because he immediately pees all over it and then won’t touch it afterwards because...well...it’s soaked in pee! What do I do.
Opi wouldn’t recommend the cardboard board with circles on it as I have it and even with pea flakes,forage and veg my pigs weren’t interested.they didn’t chew it either.for us it was a complete waste of money.
Hiding fresh grass under the straw is a good way to get them motivated...but don't pick sharp grass because it's not good for their poops..maybe stick in a carrot to surprise them.
