@gilped959 I actually helped my father-in-law purchase a Ford Explorer from Paul Murray Ford before we had any sort of relationship, and this was at the height of the supply chain shortage, and they sold it to us WELL BELOW MSRP so first-hand experience they are great to work with. @Gate3739 the FX4 on the SuperDuty lineup does not affect payload. The primary difference in the payload capability in differential and engine options. As an example, the 7.3 gas engine is 15,000 pounds with the 3.55s and the 6.7 diesel is 16,000 with 3.55s. The payload range depending on options is 13,300 to 21,800. To be honest, the payload options could be a video all to itself. The SuperDuty 4x4 and FX4 both receive skid plates. My personal guess is that the powers that be at Ford assumed to add them on both packages due to so much of a commercial or heavy-duty use. The skid plates are an option as you pointed out on the F150 lineup. The 4x4 does not receive the skid plates and the FX4 and the Tremor do receive them. nice but it would have been informative to discuss about the addition of skid plate and what this option does to payload! does it affect it?
