Sir you always refer to the books in your vlogs, it is requested when you refer to the books, please also try to display the books and their title pages so that if someone of the listener wants to read, he/she would search it. Thanks
Okay. Will do from next time.
Moorcroft's notes were also preserved at the Punjab Archives, Lahore aka Anarkali's Tomb. When i saw them in 1990s they were in a state of disarray. Quite possibly some of them were only in the manuscript form and were not included in the edition by Wilson.
Sadly, the entire Punjab Archives is in disarray. I have no faith in the people who manage it. You were lucky because I did not know some of his notes were kept here.
Such a great story. Very informative. Thanks Sir.
Sir,...there is a book named ' The Moorcroft Mystery' by Daniel Jantzen
Thanks for sharing the background Sir
Very Informative sir...
Sir, achha hua william moorcraft ko tab pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad jaisa banda nahi mila, nahi to vo kehta muslman ban ja nai te dozakh vich jaavega.. As he said to sri lankan cricketer.
Nice work
Please also give some detail about how his notes were given a book shape when he died mysteriously in an isolation and when his companions and translator also died. How his work came in the limelight afterward. Thanks

Not all his retainers died. Some from his caravan made it back to India and surely brought some of his belongings with them. This case is very similar to the murder of George Hayward in Darkot and how his notes came to light afterwards.
@@SohaibArshad-gv8mw Thank you, sir.
Sir you are a fascinating storyteller. Animosity to Russia today can be understood if we know the history of 17-18th century.
Moorcroft was pucca anti-Russia and a bit of an alarmist as well. It seems he had a sense of what was coming in the next 150 years.
In my childhood, in late 70s i visited Shalimar Gardens, and i was mesmerized by reading this plaque. Later on i read about this man in few books. Today, i am again mesmerized by the story. Thank you very much my Lord. ❤
