Sir, Homer's Iliad and Odyssey are written before Alexander's invasion of India.

Your hypothesis on the nature of the stories is really interesting. On a slightly tangential note,
General nature of step mothers also have been showcased in other Indian stories like in Ramayana , where keikeyi wants Bharat to rule and shri Ram out of Ayodhya, on the contrary the story of Yashoda and krishna is totally different as it’s one of adoption.
Another example where step mother and sons get along is in Mahabharata , where sons of Kunti and madri get along with their respective step mothers alright.
However, these don’t correspond to the desire followed by vengeance template. Need to find a story between these timelines I guess to reach a conclusion, as it has got something to do with step mothers and step sons particularly. Or a totally different note Maybe the difference between the ages of kings and second wives was too far apart in the pre and early medieval period.

Thank you very much. Your point on the difference between the ages of husband and second wife is very valid.

Sir, these stories have some key elements:
    >A pious, handsome young man is approached by a woman who is married to a man he is in servitude of.
    >He rejects the seduction but gets wrongfully blamed
    >He is proven innocent with time
This is a perfect example of a Jungian archetype which probably means it is deeply seeded in our psyche.

You mentioned Hyderabad as Norenkot. Where can I read about Norenkot as I think that the Ranikot was the Norenkot not this Hyderabad.

Rannikot and not Ranikot, sir. And Rannikot WAS NOT Nerunkot. The Chachnama is very clear in stating that Nerunkot was on the banks of the Mehran River. The Arabs called the Sindhu Mehran.

Sir thank you for another beautiful vlog. My question is that this tower appears to be a natural formation, are there any signs of construction at the base?

    • @salmanrashid8880

Archaeologist Bhandarkar unearthed a large number of tiles with designs that formed the facing of the plinth. The tower is NOT a natural feature. In Sindh all stupas had a clay fore.
