That polishing job looks cool because it blends right in with the whole rear. Not sure if you've ever used some #4/0 (0000) steel wool in conjunction with a polish, but it also tends to result in some pretty good results. Great choice on keeping those guards on!👍
Well you asked what we thought... Having an oz spec 74 RX4 myself I personally don't know how you can live with them (the overriders). Love your work though, keep it up.
A great hand polish that works great for me is NEVR-DULL from Eagle One. You can get a tin can of it, it comes already soaked into this cotton fabric they provide and you only need about a cotton ball sized piece at a time. I could shine my set of 4 15 inch rims about 4 times with 1 can, I love it. I usually get it for about 12 bucks. But you can't beat near free polish, it turned out great I think!
Good choice keeping it stock US spec. Looks great, too. You could argue that this or that spec looks better, but those little differences between national specifications is part of the history and part of the fun! (might set a limit at the late-model US massive monster bumpers, though) 🤔

Thank's... Actually I have used steel wool with turtle wax and it works great but did have any at the time. Love how the guards look on the RX4.

Do u legally need those overfenders on the bumpers?? Can u roll with em with out..then if need to boltem back on?
Not required by law so either way....
