I still do not have enough finds to make a Metal Detecting video, so i decided to upload a video about these beautiful helmets i recently bought!
I saw these 2 beauties for a really good price, and i HAD to buy them!
An Awesome Ex Double Decal Polizei Combat helmet, and a stunning Ex Double Decal Waffen SS Combat helmet!

That might be blood, I’ve bled on my reproduction helmet liner during a re-enactment and it looks exactly like what you pointed at.

@@mateusztyszkiewicz5035 I was participating in a reenactment and got a deep cut on my finger. I went to take my helmet off and using my bloody finger and hand, I managed to get a good amount of blood on the liner because of the way I was carrying it. The pig skin liner is very porous and the blood soaked right in.

Hola amigo,tengo un m42 tambien de excavacion,y quisiera ver si me puedes decir como frenar que se siga oxidando,ya que se caen de vez en cuando cascarillas,como pequeñas escamas..
lei en algun sitio que quitarle con un cepillo el oxido lo mas posible y despues darle con aceite wd40 creo que se llama.

I have a M42 and I can pick out a number on the skirt of the helmet (I can only recognize like 2 numbers) but I cannot find a lot number by the chinstrap bale. Is the shell fake?

Hello. Sorry to bother you but I’m a new helmet collector and I saw this M42 Luftwaffe helmet but scared to buy it because the price seem too good to be true. Could you please check in that cool book of yours if you can find it? Model is M42 with Luftwaffe single decal. Stamped inside is CKL64 and 2952. Thank you in advance.

I have one. Double decal SS. Its for sale...it’s in much better condition than these two you show in the video. Liner is good. Not quite as good as the liner in your example. Strap is present.

I have one, its very black, the original finish looked like it was a shiny type black, decals removed, inside it seems to be SE 66 are the markings and a number #076, I always thought it might have been an SS dress helmet, I think its an M35

Perhaps these helmets were used after the war by the local 'polizei' units, and ... the Nazi marks were ... obsolete, so ... they 'deleted' those marks ...
Anyway...impressive the condition/state of these WW2 relics !

That is a good price, but i once bought an original M42 with the original liner from Estonia only for 110€ and he was selling some other helmets for cheap prices
Dude where do you find all this stuff?! Over here (America) people want 500-1500 for one helmet. Is that good pricing, are there sites where the helmets are cheap?
I normally buy at flea markets, military fairs and known webshops.
German helmets are never cheap, but i was lucky with these 2!

The Wehrmacht was uniformed, up to date and trained for combat, especially in the early days of the 2nd world war.
I don't beleive in original SS anymore . Most of them are destroyed, in collections or museums already. Ye a few still exist for sale but it is very very hard to find and expensive . 30 years ago SS equipements were very rare already... Now 85% of the SS equipements for sale are false... I hope for u that ur SS equipements are originals

History Secrets i am happy for u bro but maybe make a vid for young collectors (begginers) and tell them to never buy ss stuff for the moment. 'Cause they r gonna lose money for sure and it s a bit sad . They have to start with german equipements firstly, that are already very expensive (and lot of fakes)

Yes, there are a lot of dirty people out there who sell fake stuff.. there is sooo much you need to watch out for!
Best thing to do is buy a book first, also never trust everything they say on a forum, i've seen people say stuff was fake a lot of times , while it was definitely real!
They even said some of my stuff was fake while it's 10000% real, a lot of people call themselves experts really fast..

We in America are lucky in that we have a decent pool of genuine Nazi era helmets in America: we are lucky that some influential American GI Joe's and servicemen were allowed to take home , just one, Nazi soldiers helmet(s) and service pistols of dead Nazi officers from recently concluded battlefields during ww2. I first had a chance to see and handle a Nazi soldier helmet at the Westgate mall in Brockton, MA a couple of decades back or so. The genuine Nazi helmets seem heavy, when lifted, almost like cast iron.
