The snowball effect of dying to a boss, embracing the frustration, & then messing up & dying to one of the weaker dudes on the way back to the boss is timeless. That little corner at the bottom of the stairs leading into undead parish got me the exact same way man. Those dogs will plague you all the way to Elden Ring.
I'm one of those people that discovered this channel and subbed after watching your last video. For me, it was the seemingly genuine and hilarious personality paired with a great game and shared hobby. I'm stoked to watch you lose your mind as this playthrough continues.
I really appreciate this dude :) I’m really glad I chose to play these games, so far they are the most rewarding to play and make content with that I’ve ever experienced
The interconnected nature of the world is one of this games greatest strengths. I feel like the magic of those experiences is one of the many things that make dark souls playthroughs so popular on youtube. Knowing I can never experience that feeling again for myself is a little sad, since no other game does it quite as well... including the other two souls games. You're doing great, man. Keep it up.
Seems like you’re approaching the game the right way - your experience with Demon’s Souls is showing! I agree, the way the map vertically interconnects is fabulous. A masterpiece of world design.
17:52 No Way. That is some of rarest things to happen in Dark Souls. It is called a "Good Vagrant". But there are also Evil Vagrants that will attack you. Behind these is a Multiplayer Mechanic. I think these will spawn if another Player in their world drop an Item and leave the area.
@@WuggernautIf you see one, drop everything and go after it. They drop rare items like Twinkling Titanite, Dragon Scales, Twin Humanities, Purging Stones, etc. They are extremely rare to the point I've seen maybe 5 in several hundred hours of gameplay.
@@WuggernautThey are extremely rare, as multiple people have to not pick up certain rare items before it transforms into a good vagrant. Sometimes you'll see random items lying around, which means another player deliberately dropped it and now you can find it. If you kill it before it disappears you'll get a rare item. There are also bad vagrants that send barrages of projectiles at you; these are much more common as they spawn from bloodstains that are unable to be retrieved by other players.
1:29:00 you are right, this was a questline you could start before beating the Gargoyles-he should now be at Firelink Shrine across from Anastasia the Firekeeper
The map of ds1 is so well crafted. It's crazy. Loved the sanity roller coaster during the bossfight at the end lol. some quick things: You can go down ladders faster by double clicking the run/dodge button while on them. Only works for downwards. To kick you need to quickly press light attack and the left stick (forward) at the same time quickly, don't hold forward and then light attack, both at the same time. When you hear the bell ringing in the background that's another player ringing it in their own world. A cool thing in the game.
This is such a well made video. I love the medieval music when you read the item descriptions. Very cozy. Glad this play through is blowing up for you. Looking forward to the rest. ☺
Dude tysm. I love this community for a ton of reasons, a big one being that I can take the time I need to put stuff like this into the videos and you guys understand and appreciate it. Seriously thank you and me too!!
I’m stoked that we have months worth of awesome content to look forward to if you go through all the Souls games. (Hoping that includes Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring too.)
there is almost an infinite amount of ways people can approach dark souls, it's almost never boring. Very few if any other games like it in that regard
If you enjoy reading description and lore of each items, you are right person to play this game and the series. I really enjoy your play through. I hope you won't have any major spoiler in the comments. A message from Japan.
Great job reading the Gargoyles fight and really good attempt on the notorious Capra Demon given how disadvantaged you were. You deserved to win that one.
I always use a notebook for my first playthrough of Fromsoft games too. I make notes about lore, the locations of doors I can't open, NPCs to revisit later, etc. It really enhances the experience. Love your playthrough so far. These games are tough when you go in blind, but definitely rewarding. Good luck!
I shouldn’t definitely make even more in depth notes like you do, that would help a bunch :) and tysm! I totally agree the feeling of being completely lost changes to curiosity and amazement really quickly 🤩
That was a good attempt with Capra. That fight is so cramped and crowded it's aweful lol. I think firebombs might be able to help if you get in a good spot.
Mate, your videos have been great. I'm laughing loads, not at you, with you. I've been there so know what it's like. Keep going, really enjoying watching you play. Making me smile dude! 😊
Thank you so much! Idk what’s ahead but you guys are so fun to make content for and watch your reactions, I’m so happy I get to go through the whole fromsoft catalogue with you all 🥲
Rooting for you! Made me want to replay this classic challenging game! You’re doing great and will watch the whole series! Cant wait to see you progress!
You are killing it dude! Loving the playthrough and you deserve all the success. I also love that you’re reading the lore entries and I love the editing of the zoom in with you in the frame. Such a cool edit 😊 Also the mald meter was very relatable lol P.s. minor hints- there are many creatures in lordran who’s tails may come off when hit like the gargoyles and give more interesting weapons 😊
Dude tysm, the fact that I have so many of you guys actually looking forward to each new video is so crazy to me 🙏 I’m really glad you like the lore reading too cause that’s one of my favourite parts of the game now! I’ll also keep a look out for more tails 👀
Honestly your playrhroughs are really fun . I found you a few days ago and the torture is what makes it fun. Hope you play dark souls 2 soon and please never change. Also please you were going in the right direction with princess dusk but trying going back to hydra and killing the golden golem something special is inside it. Waiting for your dark souls 2 lets play luv ya.
I admit, I'm the kind of guy that in a battle between dark souls bosses and dark souls streamers, cheer for the boss. But that's only the result of the streamer being so dumb, or making immoral choices that make moraly hard for me to cheer for them. This dude has my most honest cheers. He haven't made a single mistake so far. No killing NPCs, no arrogant attitude, no greedy and hasteful playthrough trying run pass enemies to finish as fast as possible. He take notes and read descriptions. Let's see how long this fairytail will last 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@joaohenriqueneuhaus2023 I watched his whole Demon’ Souls series and he was the same way there. It’s rare to find someone playing the game for fun rather than views, and it’s not only refreshing but more entertaining to watch, in my opinion.
I'm impressed on how close you came to actually beating that capra demon and his two dogs on your first attempt! (The first appearance doesn't count in my book. You walked through a door and got ganked.) That boss is a brick wall for many new riders of the DarkSouls pain train. The close quarter and multiple quick enemies while - also - being low level in character and weapons makes for a frenetic time. You stumbled onto the strategy for him pretty quickly though! Sliding up that staircase as soon as you sfely can, then using it to bottleneck and dispatch the doggos makes the fight much more mangeable. The rest is remaining calm, using the stairs and ledge to escape and heal, and death to the demon by a million well-timed butt-pokes. Oh! And that elevator going from the church back to firelink is more than just a shortcut. it is also a little secret access to a new (but also old) area. ... If you jump off at the right time, and then do a little rooftop parkour. ...And do your best impression of an egg. Just be sure to search around before you go playing evening at the improv. -_^
More tips! - unhollowing allows you to kindle the fire, and also while you are 'human' it lets you summon in help from other players and also NPC's (like Solaire). I don't know if your goal is to go through solo... but some bosses are almost meant to be fought with help. So, if you are stuck, tap that resource. - If a boss has a distinct tail, you can cut it off. And you get something for it every time. So the gargoyles aren't the only ones to slice and dice. - bows and crossbows are sloooow to use, and have limited ammo and damage, but they are handy to plink at enemies from a safe distance. (also, you can free-aim a bow FPS style for log range snipes to pull single enemies from groups!). Very handy. So if you can't get up close and personal, plink from just out of reach to profit. - Many enemies have a 'parry' stance or guard position. Like the thieves, skeletons, and knights with the small shields. if the hold up their weapon in a defensive fashion and aren't attacking, they are waiting for you to hit so they can parry you.
The fact that you actually edit your own videos AND making notes of things to do differently, check out things you might have missed adds such another quality layer on top of your gaming skills man. Glad I found your channel, will be binging DS1 and then check out your other vids.
Like loads of others I am new to the channel, subbed a few weeks ago after Ep 1 popped up on my recommended list. Loving your vids. Not seen anyone mention in the comments but if you use R2/RT attacks in tight spaces most weapons do a thrust/stab attack. A bit slower but stops your weapon bouncing off the walls. Good luck with the rest of the playthrough!
That’s awesome dude thank you for the sub and I’m really glad you like the content so far 🙏 I need to keep the stab thing in mind too, hitting the walls is so annoying 😅
There's something special about watching blind playthroughs of DS1. Heads up, you can run while rolling if you are also holding the guard (L1) button, or else you'll jump instead. If you get hit while jumping you take extra damage. And the kick is done with all weapons aside from the curved swords (and maybe one or two other fast melee weapons). Any time you do the cool flippy slash, that would be a kick with any other weapon. It's like a smash attack from the Smash Bros games.
Impressive how well you were doing against Capra demon... that tight space, 2 extra dogs and huge damage from boss, you did well sir. Respect. Also nice first double boss fight. Not the last one though. Next one will be "Fun"!
Man, I had that same experience the first time I looped back to Firelink Shrine. Actually got chills. To this day, it's one of my most memorable experiences in gaming, and it was the exact moment I knew Dark Souls was something special. My next defining moment was getting walled at those Gargoyles (before I even knew how to upgrade my weapon). Also glad to see you reading the lore. Will be cool to see you piece it all together. BTW, your beard and hair are looking nice, bro.
Dude I think it’ll be one of my most memorable too. I had the exact same feeling 🤝 and I love the lore descriptions it adds so much! Also I appreciate that man 😅 it was worth growin out then 🤘
What a fun episode! Man everyone has a boss they hate in Dark Souls, for me it's Capra. And you were sooo close! Nice job on the Gargoyles though, objective complete. I promise not to give any spoilers, since I think the struggle is part of the experience, but since you're okay with tips... The Kick: so the scimitar is a fun weapon for sure, but its move set replaces your kick with that backward cartwheel... thingy. Try it with a different weapon, like the spear. Also, since your are enjoying the lore and story content aspects of the game, and if you want to participate in jolly cooperation with an NPC, try approaching a boss fight in Human form. That's all I'll say about that :) Anyway, nice job as always - really enjoying this series!
Hell yea wuggernaut with another feature length dark souls masterpiece!! I serisously believe you will have at least 50k subs by the end of the soulsbourne series. As long as you dont go hollow...
So fun to watch you gain so much attention over just a few episodes! This has been such a fun watch so far. Congrats!! P.S. I don't think you've come across any secret doors yet, but when you do you're gonna wanna hit them instead of rolling into them
Fun to see how thrilled you are at your channel blowing up. Will be cool when you're at 10k+ subs to be able to say I was in the first 800! Keep up the great videos, you deserve the success 🥳🥳 Now, to watch what I can only assume is some good old-fashioned Capra Demon suffering haha
You and a bunch of other new folks playing through made me start my own playthrough for the first time in years. That realization at 19:50 that you had a trek ahead of you has already happened to me quite a few times now lol.
You are very good at what you do. All the views are no suprise to me, when I watched the first video I genuinely thought you were some big youtuber with 100+ thousand subs.
I know this is already a month old video, but I seriously can't believe how absurdly lucky was that random vagrant encounter at 17:54. Very little people have seen a vagrant on their life, and even the most experienced players of this game don't even know there are different kind of vagrants. Being the white one that fades away at sight the rarest one of them all, all other variants of that mob are hostile dark ones. It is so absurdly rare that after more than a thousand hours on Steam and a couple more hundred watching several playthroughs on internet I have never ever seen one in my life.
This series has been a whole lot of fun! I love watching dark souls 1 playthroughs, and yours is definitely among my favorite so far! You have a great attitude towards the game - When you're stuck, you look around, level up and maybe try again later! A couple of things for your aid, if you like: - I am not sure if you actually missed this, but there is a flight of stairs going off towards the right of the capra demon boss door, which you can consider. It is not going to be much help with the boss, unfortunately, but I would recommend poking around! - You did miss the prisoner in the tower, but it is no big deal! The questline continues unaffected. Go back to Firelink and look around when it is convenient.
Unfortunately I recorded ep 4 tonight before seeing this comment, I wish I’d seen it 😩 but that makes me feel better about the prisoner! Also so glad you’re liking it, and it means so much I’m one of your favs! Seriously, I’m honoured 🙏🙏
@@Wuggernaut Honestly, I liked it a bit more than DS1 . It's not as bad as people say. You just need to level up a certain stat to fix its main problem.
It's way out in the future but save yourself the trouble and play the original version of dark souls 2 There is a remaster called "scholar of the first sin" and they changed alot of enemy placements in that it's hell to slog through@@Wuggernaut
These videos are amazing because you can feel the excitment, the frustrations and the victory feelings of a "newbie". I would give a considerable amount of money to be able to experience these games once more for the first time!
@@Wuggernaut It sometimes is painful to watch you do things, when I already know..not kick the ladder (did that too) for example. Or not going this one way that leads directly back to firelink. But that’s how these games unfold. You‘re doing things way smarter than me, I must admit :) It sometimes is like knowing a movie by heart and watch it unfold completely different.
Another nice episode, enjoying this alot. It s like when i was younger and couldnt wait for the next week to watch the new episode of my favorite show. It s rare these days. Not that i‘m „old“, but i‘m a Dad and can‘t play video games as much as i would like to, so these videos help alot 😁 Edit: wait, where is my hint for this week…nice to see you going for the good old quality build, but dont forget about the most important thing on your screen! That still kind of small red bar, spend some points on vitality 🙂
Wow that Capra Demon death was tragic!! Kudos though for getting so close, you definitely fought him earlier than most and you almost pulled it off. The next time you go back to that area, be sure to explore a bit more because you missed an NPC and a couple of good items that are on the right of the big bonfire (so turn right when you get to the bottom of the main stairs instead of left), and also right next to the boss room is a path worth investigating!
Thank you dude 🙏 it was rough so hearing he’s more of a later boss makes me feel better 😅 also I can’t believe I missed that (even in the next ep I recorded) I gotta check that out
Ah my friend, welcome to Dark Souls. I'm still a noob myself (only started this year, currently on NG+). It's interesting to see the difference in play style. Personally, I'm more careful and methodical when I play: taking it step by step, area by area, save often 😅 It's slow, I'll admit, but I think it saved me from dying often. Anyway, loving the videos, and wishing you all the best! 💪
I’m actually trying to slowly adapt a play style closer to yours 😅 I REALLY love the secrets and the lore you can discover when slowing down and really exploring an area 🤩 thank you for the welcome :)
Great video really enjoyed it keep it up man, Btw I like how u still call the stamina bar endurance even tho I told u and u responded to my comment😂, And I have a tip for u kindle the bonfire that's above the smith it's a really useful one u are gonna need it later on and u can summon solair by reverse hollowing at a bonfire before the boss fight and using his summon signature that u find near the boss door
Dude I’m so sorry, I actually recorded this one before I saw your comment, but even in ep4 that I recorded tonight I still say it accidentally 🤦♂️ I’ll work on it 😂
Interesting to see totally different (philosofical even) approach to this game. I always return back to previous bonfire when carrying enough souls for level up. Doing that helps the next run because of level up and mostly because of familiarization of enemies around. You just keep pushing and hoping for bonfire that most probably is not near. Well, your approach is certainly more entertaining to watch. And interestins fact: still not kindling to the bonfires even guys have hinted that you definitely should do it to boost estus flask.
Hey man 👋 i am enjoying your playthrough so much !! Try to do a step to get closer after a parry when you want to do a critical hit 😉 And the bonus flask at 38min came from another player that kindled his bonfire 😁
don't forget that anytime you're above an enemy you can do a drop attack that does extra damage. It's funny the game teaches you at the beginning, but it's easy to quickly forget. The Capra demon fight is it good example of where it comes in handy.
I'm playing for the first time and am a bit ahead of you. I'm kind of addicted to the game now lol and loving watching your intuitive approach to exploration and combat.
Amazing vid good job, now I will get into some feedback or tips, first of all go back to fire link shrine and nexto the fire keeper where you gave a soul to, nexto her there is a guy in gold armour KILL HIM I made the mistake of you leave to long he will kill the fire keeper and ruin your run you won’t be able to rest at the bonfire and can re enforce your estus. Next kill Havel down the stairs he drops a ring that boost your equipment load which means you can where more things like a shield and still light role, and if you accidentally pushed any person of a ledge like the gold guy reload the game because he drops the best ring in the game and if he falls of the ledge reload the game like leave the game and log back in and it will spawn in.
The kick works with most weapons equipped, but with a curved sword, you get a quick slash attack followed by a back-flip. With most weapons, pressing forward and light attack at the same time will kick, and forward with the heavy attack is a jump attack (that cannot be parried). Timing is tricky, but with practice you can learn to do it consistently. Most people end up kicking by accident when they don't intend to. You won't have that problem with a curved sword equipped, you just end up doing the slash and back-flip combo. Note: I've always heard that moving foward and pressing attack should be at the same time, but I seem to have better luck moving forward ever so lightly before pressing the attack button.
@thejabberwocky9620 I actually have on but it’s pretty dead atm and I’m not sure what to do with it rn so I don’t advertise it much, but here’s the link: discord.gg/G27ewPwN
@@Wuggernaut that's the line frrom stockpile thomas from Demon's Souls, right? Or am I not remembering correctly. Ah well. Keep up the series, it's lots of fun :)
38:00 the extra estus is because some online player kindled the undead parish bonfire (the one you last rested at). If someone kindles the bonfire you last rested at, you gain an extra estus.
The armor those enemies dropped at capra demon was thief armor, not the other one :) That random estus you got happens when someone online kindles, and a random player gets a temporary estus. Pretty cool feature :)
I´m a bit late to the party, but I´ve just now found your channel and left a sub. Your commentary is funny and chill at the same time, I really enjoyed the first two parts of you getting to know that Souls Games addiction we all have, and I cant wait for you to pick up Bloodborne and Elden Ring down the line. Keep it up! One thing I´d like to add with all the tips and tricks you are getting in the comments, even though its a bit late for DS1 now - find your own way to play the Fromsoft Games. Yes parrying f.e. is a great way to get through the game, but if you prefer to dodge and look for openings, thats totally fine too. There is no "one true way to git gud". Much love from austria my dude!
I appreciate this! I’ll definitely hold onto this tip as I go through the rest of the games :) and I’ve actually just recently decided that I’ll be playing Bloodborne after I’m done ds2 :D
@@Wuggernaut Oh great! I am really looking forward to both DS2 and Bloodborne, since I personally enjoyed them the most, DS2 for the lore and Bloodborne for the setting. I hope you have an equally good time in them, aside the mandatory suffering loop of death and respawn :D
please... the shield 😭 as someone who recently beat DS1 I was rooting for you so much during Capra Demon because I hate that fight!! But use your shield 😭 it's definitely worth the roll, you haven't even touched heavy rolling yet. You can do it!!
Gaining the +1 estus flask, so funny to see everyone's reaction to that the first time. I'm watching two other TH-camrs play for the first time (Benjamite Gaming and Bass Plays). You all reacted the exact same way haha. I'm sure someone's already commented that happens when you're playing online and another player in the area Kindles their bonfire
I think you may turn out to be my favorite. The other two guys I'm watching started before you do they're a little ahead, but you are definitely paying better attention than one of them. When he found the elevator to Firelink Shrine he didn't read or pay attention so he thought it was a whole new area for a while lol
@1:29:00 you had the option to save a golden armor warrior named Lautrec. You can actually summon him and Solaire at the Gargoyles and do 3v2. But if you don't save him I think he'll still be at Firelink Shrine for you People LOVE to spoil his story, so don't read comments about him... 😈
you'll be happy to learn (probably) I started a new ds run because of you XD Trying a magic build this time around (melee my beloved I'll remember you fondly~)
If you accidentally attack a friendly NPC, depending on how much damage you deal to them, they may turn hostile. If they turn hostile, they remain hostile even if you rest at a bonfire. The only way to turn a hostile NPC friendly again is to request absolution from Oswald the pardoner. He charges a fee equal to your character's level * 500. If your character is level 20, absolution will cost you 10,000 souls. Don't accidentally turn Oswald hostile or you're screwed.
You can kindle any bonfire. It permanently increases your flask with 5 extra. You could get 10 flask every time you sit at any bonfire instead of only 5.
@@WuggernautIts easily misable😊 Use 1 humanity to become human ( you are not allowed to kindle while hollow), then use another humanity to use as kindling to the bonfire. The upper left corner on your screen tells you the current number of humanities you are having. Its next to the health and stamina bar. If its 0, just use the ones in your inventory
About the message about gravelord servants. There's a covenant "Gravelord servants" that's pretty to obscure to find and join. They can curse other player's worlds using covenant items. This curse adds additional enemys in form of red phantoms if you're in new game+. It will disappear once the gravelord servant dies during an invasion to their world. Probably the location you were in was cursed and someone stopped it.
Before fighting Capra Demon in the Lower Undead Burg, there is an NPC who you can rescue and by spells from. He is in one of the locked houses on the right after you come down the stairs to the area. You need to buy the Residence Key first from the Undead Merchant.
A couple things, in order to kick you have to move the stick forward AND light attack at the same time, it’s easier to pull off while standing still. The way I think about it is like I’m playing smash bros where I flick the stick and hold the attack button at the same time. Also if you’re using the Scimitar/ other curved swords, you actually don’t kick but instead do a different attack. Kicking make it so you can break lesser enemy shields leaving them in staggered phase, you can do a riposte which would essentially be doing a front stab animation just like parrying Also another thing I heard is that every time you hear the bell ring in the background, that’s other players ringing the bell in the tower in real time!
1:20:20 Absolution is for when you accidentally attack an NPC and piss them off. You don't HAVE to kill them; instead, you can go to this guy and request absolution. Keep in mind, though, it's expensive. I attacked Andre in one of my playthrough and killed him because i didnt know i could pay for absolution.
"Is that where we go in other games?" I'm gonna blow your mind bro, you go there in this game, about halfway into it. I can't wait. You haven't locked yourself out of anything yet, no worries. Oswald the Pardoner is a key NPC if you happen to mistakenly aggro another NPC. He absolves your sins for a price and they will no longer try to kill you. As for the Gravelord messages that pop up, that is a PVP specific mechanic involving the covenant of Gravelord Nito that only affects you on NG+ and higher. No need to worry. A good thing to remember is, if a boss has a tail at least try to cut it off. The Capra Demon holds the key to the path below. As soon as you have enough STR/DEX to keep a few good weapons to switch between you'll want to stick to VIT and END for a while. Stay safe friend, don't you dare go hollow.
Hey man just a tip, there are three rolls in dark souls(light, medium, and heavy) I forget the exact percentage but you want to keep your equip load low enough to light roll l( it feels the best and gives you the most i frames) you can test this by taking off all your gear and rolling then put on the heaviest gear you have and roll and see the difference
Yeah all the way up to ep4 (recorded last night) I’ve been experimenting with three medium roll but I did really love the light roll… I may have to go back 👀
@@Wuggernaut basically this: *fat rolling* = rolls are way too slow - your defensive strategy would either be tanking hits with enough poise given by your heavy armor or blocking with a shield (probably a greatshield), instead of rolling *mid rolling* = it's the, you know, in between - if you're mid rolling you probably have a good armor or a shield equiped so just face tanking hits may not be as viable as if you're fat rolling but you still may resist some hits before your balance breaks (influenced by the poise stat) and still be able to dodge attacks with rolls and blocking with a shield. *in a nutshell* all three defensive strategies are viable but not one is very efficient *fast rolling* = rolling is quick and would be probably your main defensive strategy... unless you get your hands on some broken rings but until that you may not even possess any poise at all with your light armor and even wearing a shield may cause you to mid roll if you play enough of this game that may not matter, flipping havels are a thing after all. yeah, you don't know about flipping havels so it's all good advice ^^ but maybe you have heard about the LEGEND himself ?
Hello, very fun gameplay. Just a tip when clibing down ladders, hold the Run button to slide down faster. Ah and if you wanna have whole of the game experience, trie to recover your humanity at bonfires, that alows you to invade another players world and also be invaded by them. Good luck!!!!!!
The icon you asked about for armor indicates durability. In the game, weapons and armor break, and you can repair them with the blacksmith and an item. Which reminds me that the blacksmith sells things. You can equip the shield and carry it on your sword and it still improves your stamina recovery. You can see if the armor/weapon you are going to equip is better than the one you have if before equipping the new one you press X and it shows you the statistics that improve in blue and the ones that get worse in red. If you are going to play in mid roll, look for the best armor you can use without reaching fat, equip yourself at the limit so you are as protected as possible. Don't be afraid to change weapons and improve them a little, experiment and discover your way of playing.

I heard they spawn when someone dies and drops a ton of souls, then dies again before they can retrieve them (?)
Yo I knew about vagrants but not this kind of them! I was watching like “I don’t even know what that is!” lol 😆
I love the chapter cards. It's such a small detail but it makes the journey feel more deep and like a story
I’m really glad you like it, that’s exactly the vibe I was hoping to create :)
1:29:00 you are right, this was a questline you could start before beating the Gargoyles-he should now be at Firelink Shrine across from Anastasia the Firekeeper
The map of ds1 is so well crafted. It's crazy.
Loved the sanity roller coaster during the bossfight at the end lol.
some quick things:
You can go down ladders faster by double clicking the run/dodge button while on them. Only works for downwards.
To kick you need to quickly press light attack and the left stick (forward) at the same time quickly, don't hold forward and then light attack, both at the same time.
When you hear the bell ringing in the background that's another player ringing it in their own world. A cool thing in the game.
I am seriously awestruck with it each episode.
Professional thinking behind it..
All I have to say.
We freaking love it
53:10 loved your reaction to the notorious Firelink Shrine shortcut. This game has amazing level/world design!
Even as early in as I am now I can definitely see it!
@thrxshx it 100% does 🤩

there is almost an infinite amount of ways people can approach dark souls, it's almost never boring. Very few if any other games like it in that regard
I can see why each playthrough is so watchable!
If you enjoy reading description and lore of each items, you are right person to play this game and the series.
I really enjoy your play through. I hope you won't have any major spoiler in the comments. A message from Japan.
Aye that’s crazy! I’m glad you’re liking it Ty for saying that 🙏 so far no big spoilers 😮💨
Great job reading the Gargoyles fight and really good attempt on the notorious Capra Demon given how disadvantaged you were. You deserved to win that one.
Thank you man! The Capra Demon was a hard one to take on the chin but the triump over the gargoyles made it easier to swallow that’s for sure 😅
It's so fun to watch you really appreciate the map design and trying to interpret the story. This is an incredible time, keep it up!
I’m glad you’re enjoying it :D I love how much this game has to give when you stop and pay attention 🤩
Good shout. Without dedicated lore/quest tabs in the menu making notes is pretty essential to remember
That was a good attempt with Capra. That fight is so cramped and crowded it's aweful lol. I think firebombs might be able to help if you get in a good spot.
Thank you, I just had to take a break till next time 😅 and ooOooo 👀👀

You are killing it dude! Loving the playthrough and you deserve all the success. I also love that you’re reading the lore entries and I love the editing of the zoom in with you in the frame. Such a cool edit 😊
Also the mald meter was very relatable lol
P.s. minor hints- there are many creatures in lordran who’s tails may come off when hit like the gargoyles and give more interesting weapons 😊
Dude tysm, the fact that I have so many of you guys actually looking forward to each new video is so crazy to me 🙏
I’m really glad you like the lore reading too cause that’s one of my favourite parts of the game now! I’ll also keep a look out for more tails 👀

Also please you were going in the right direction with princess dusk but trying going back to hydra and killing the golden golem something special is inside it. Waiting for your dark souls 2 lets play luv ya.

@@blob8396 Ayye thank you dude! I hope you enjoy the rest so far this Tuesday coming up I’ll be hopping into the DLC
Let's see how long this fairytail will last 🤣🤣🤣🤣
thank you so much dude! I just recorded ep 4 tonight though and… I promise I will learn from my mistakes 🤣🤣
@joaohenriqueneuhaus2023
I watched his whole Demon’ Souls series and he was the same way there. It’s rare to find someone playing the game for fun rather than views, and it’s not only refreshing but more entertaining to watch, in my opinion.
@Churi_Venatriss tysm 🥲🥹
>immoral choices
bruh, it's a videogame.
@@NevetsTSmith yeah it is... but a fromsoft game who absolutely sh*t on you for making a wrong move or bad choice 😅
👀👀👀
Dude thank you for all these tips and reminders 🙏
The fact that you actually edit your own videos AND making notes of things to do differently, check out things you might have missed adds such another quality layer on top of your gaming skills man. Glad I found your channel, will be binging DS1 and then check out your other vids.
Wow thank you so much! I really appreciate this 🙏 I’ll keep focusing on trying to make each video better and better 🥹
Ooooh, I recorded ep4 already but I’ll try this out in ep 5 thank you!
Impressive how well you were doing against Capra demon... that tight space, 2 extra dogs and huge damage from boss, you did well sir. Respect.
Also nice first double boss fight. Not the last one though. Next one will be "Fun"!
Oh god… 😂 and thank you! Time to finish the job 😈
I can definitely see why you hate him 🤣 and thank you for the tips! I really appreciate the spoiler free approach you use 🙏

I wish I knew about this when I saw it dude! I was just like “huh wonder that that was” and treated it like nothing 🤦♂️😅

Thanks man! And I have to find it first 😅 you’ll see what I mean in next week’s ep 🤦♂️🤦♂️
This series has been a whole lot of fun! I love watching dark souls 1 playthroughs, and yours is definitely among my favorite so far! You have a great attitude towards the game - When you're stuck, you look around, level up and maybe try again later! A couple of things for your aid, if you like:
- I am not sure if you actually missed this, but there is a flight of stairs going off towards the right of the capra demon boss door, which you can consider.

Dude that’s awesome! I’m so stoked I get to make these and have that kind of effect 🤝 and yes that’s so true I need more vitality 😂
For the “prisoner ahead” message, you did not lock yourself out of anything. You’ll meet that NPC when you return to a familiar place.

@@Wuggernaut don't worry man just keep up the good contant
@theknight1144 🙏🙏🫡
When someone kindles a bonfire you last rested at, it gives you an extra flask, that's why you got that 6th flask there.
I definitely see the value in that approach, I may just be too stubborn to implement it though 😅
Hey man 👋 i am enjoying your playthrough so much !!
Try to do a step to get closer after a parry when you want to do a critical hit 😉
And the bonus flask at 38min came from another player that kindled his bonfire 😁
That’s awesome dude I’m so glad you’re liking it :D! And ooooh tysm! I wish I saw this before recording episode 4🤦♂️🤣
don't forget that anytime you're above an enemy you can do a drop attack that does extra damage. It's funny the game teaches you at the beginning, but it's easy to quickly forget. The Capra demon fight is it good example of where it comes in handy.
True I need to apply this more 🤦♂️
Finished ds1, now watching this, very entertaining man! Keep up the good work.

I really grateful you enjoy and appreciate it :)
For future reference, the bonfire at Firelink Shrine is tended by a Firekeeper and is pre-kindled to give you 10 Estus flasks from resting at it.
Ohhh that’s why, awesome!
Amazing run! Amazing player! For your style of fighting, Remember: only Dex and find the schyte!!!!
If you love quality, Claymore and halberd, both with shield for stamina or parry, are so nasty!
Fast roll or tank player, both can do well
Thank you for all these tips I’ll keep these options in mind for sure :) and thank you for the compliments too :D!
Blighttown is getting closer, I can feel the fps falling
👀👀😬
He’s on remastered, frame rate was fixed there haha
This makes sense as to why I couldn’t fmget it now 😅
Good episode dude. Keep up the good work
Thank you 🙏! I will 100%

Hell yeah that’s awesome!! And lemme know how that goes, I never used magic in Demon’s Souls and probably won’t in ds1 either 😅
Tip: To get a critical riposte after a party make sure you walk up to the front of the enemy. Then hit r1
Thank you dude, I missed so many this episode 😩
If you accidentally attack a friendly NPC, depending on how much damage you deal to them, they may turn hostile. If they turn hostile, they remain hostile even if you rest at a bonfire. The only way to turn a hostile NPC friendly again is to request absolution from Oswald the pardoner. He charges a fee equal to your character's level * 500. If your character is level 20, absolution will cost you 10,000 souls. Don't accidentally turn Oswald hostile or you're screwed.
LOL good point 🤣 and ty for this 🫡
You can kindle any bonfire. It permanently increases your flask with 5 extra. You could get 10 flask every time you sit at any bonfire instead of only 5.
I really need to remember and utilize this, so many times this woulda helped me 🤦♂️
@@WuggernautIts easily misable😊 Use 1 humanity to become human ( you are not allowed to kindle while hollow), then use another humanity to use as kindling to the bonfire.
Ahhh okay, thank you 🙏
Before fighting Capra Demon in the Lower Undead Burg, there is an NPC who you can rescue and by spells from. He is in one of the locked houses on the right after you come down the stairs to the area. You need to buy the Residence Key first from the Undead Merchant.
Peep ep 4 soon 👀 but thank you for this 😅
I love your videos! 🤗 Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
That’s so awesome thank you dude!
Kicking make it so you can break lesser enemy shields leaving them in staggered phase, you can do a riposte which would essentially be doing a front stab animation just like parrying
Also another thing I heard is that every time you hear the bell ring in the background, that’s other players ringing the bell in the tower in real time!
Oooohhh, I gotcha now 🤦♂️ my bad! And that is so sick I love that, after all these years it’s so awesome I heard the bell so many times
@@Wuggernaut Also the extra flasks you sometimes get are from other players as well when they kindle bonfire I think.
I can’t wait to see you do the REAL duo boss lmaoo this was amazing tho keep at it!
I’m so screwed 🤣😅
@@Wuggernaut nah you got this!!
Tragic! We’ll see if I ever need his services 😅
Not sure if someone wrote before but in this game there are bosses that tail can be destroyed, by doing that you obtain unique weapons.
Yes indeed! But I always need a reminder so Ty, completely forgot with gaping dragon 😖
NO FREAKINGG WAY! That’s insanity. Also ty for the info and tips 🙏
@@Juggla23 might as well already spoil the end of the game, who's the final boss, his backstory and etc...keep going. 😑
*kicks down the ladder* YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Hahaha that was for you all 😂🫡
Hey man just a tip, there are three rolls in dark souls(light, medium, and heavy) I forget the exact percentage but you want to keep your equip load low enough to light roll l( it feels the best and gives you the most i frames) you can test this by taking off all your gear and rolling then put on the heaviest gear you have and roll and see the difference
Yeah all the way up to ep4 (recorded last night) I’ve been experimenting with three medium roll but I did really love the light roll… I may have to go back 👀
@@Wuggernaut basically this:
*fat rolling* = rolls are way too slow - your defensive strategy would either be tanking hits with enough poise given by your heavy armor or blocking with a shield (probably a greatshield), instead of rolling
*mid rolling* = it's the, you know, in between - if you're mid rolling you probably have a good armor or a shield equiped so just face tanking hits may not be as viable as if you're fat rolling but you still may resist some hits before your balance breaks (influenced by the poise stat) and still be able to dodge attacks with rolls and blocking with a shield.
*in a nutshell* all three defensive strategies are viable but not one is very efficient
*fast rolling* = rolling is quick and would be probably your main defensive strategy... unless you get your hands on some broken rings but until that you may not even possess any poise at all with your light armor and even wearing a shield may cause you to mid roll
if you play enough of this game that may not matter, flipping havels are a thing after all. yeah, you don't know about flipping havels so it's all good advice ^^ but maybe you have heard about the LEGEND himself ?
Hello, very fun gameplay. Just a tip when clibing down ladders, hold the Run button to slide down faster. Ah and if you wanna have whole of the game experience, trie to recover your humanity at bonfires, that alows you to invade another players world and also be invaded by them. Good luck!!!!!!
Thank you so much dude! And I will use both these tips :)
Ahhh now I understand, and thank you for the other tips as well!
@@Wuggernaut You can carry the shield in the back and still improves You stamina recovery*
Sorry i use a translate app and miss there.
@Amurit- it’s okay I knew what you meant :), what is your native language ?
@@Wuggernaut Spanish, I understand almost everything when I hear or read English, but I don't master writing and speaking
Ahhh makes sense, that’s awesome I was so curious I had to ask 😅 I’ve tried learning Spanish so many times I wish I stuck to it when I was younger
