That a very interesting and helpful video Phil. I’ve just bought my first machine, GX21ff as I got a lot of doors and ceilings to spray. I’d assumed I could just buy a Graco extension tip for use on higher ceilings, but will I always get spits if don’t buy a clean shot valve?
Go with a bare plaster primer. Isomat 2in1 primer sprays great... Watch that video I did. Or go with optiva primer from Tikkurila. Or even Fortress Bare plaster primer from Screwfix.
I brought one off Temu for £25 saying it was a clean shot. There sold as false description coz there is no spring inside it like the true clean shots have. So it’s just a swivel, you’ll never get rid of the tail 😂
@ yeah it looks the same as a graco one with the adjustable knob. I took it apart and it’s just a needle with no spring so all your doing is shutting and opening the hole with the needle, where as with the graco its spring activated up to around 700psi and anything over that it pushes the spring back to let the paint out.
And I was wondering which one to buy. Now I know)
Thanks for making this video, very helpful for a new sprayer.
You're welcome!
nice one phil im a retired old painter but have a wagner 350m
Good clip Phil, point proven

I'll say yes. If pressure is low enough, you'll not notice.
But in general, like I explained, you saw the tail end spit
Phil what primer would you recommend for plaster? Thinking bedec all prime, or mist coat with super Matt or something?😊

Iff I buy a wagner airsprayer can I use the graco clean shot.
tip guards are interchangable with most spray guns, so this will have the same thread as a tip guard.
will you be doing a video on the Graco Powershot standard and the XT contractor
not unless someone gifts me them... i have no more room for sprayers or allowed to buy another big one lol
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator ill keep an eye out maybe you might get them for Christmas from Graco or Santa 😀
Hopefully someone could reach out to you and send you the qtec version to try it’s a lot cheaper than the Graco one.
they're about £120, as it's just the head and no tip guard.

does the one you bought have the turn nob on the end? many I see are just a swivel head with no nob to dial in or out.

Sweet spot
Very!
Whats your honest opinion on it phil?
It's a good swivel head
Maybe it’s aimed at spraying in awkward areas
Phil i got a genuine graco clean shot leaked all over the place load of crap
leaking from where?
@ProfessionalPainterDecorator from the hinge swivel should have sent it back ,but got online
