I was flying home that day. From SoCal to Sacramento. I was scared I wouldn’t get home. But luckily the airports I needed had minimal issues and I flew southwest 😂
Omg 😂 Daddy I'm having alone time right now is the cutest thing ....and kudos to Stephen for respecting that cause boy is having your own alone time precious and you don't want it interrupted either haha
Post-partum hair loss is actually just the hair that would have normally fallen out in slow increments while you were pregnant all falling out at one time. We normally lose hair every day, but pregnancy hormones keep that from happening. So when your hormones finally settle back down (usually around the time you start menstruating again), your hair follicles play catch-up by dropping all of that hair at once. The good news is that it will grow back. You can help it do so by rubbing a few drops of castor oil into your scalp before bed on the nights before wash days.
That’s actually a myth sadly. Yes you lose the hair you would’ve normally lost, however, unbalanced hormones and breastfeeding cause deplete nutrients and cause more hair to fall out that normally wouldn’t. I have extremely thick hair pre pregnancy, and now 4m pp I have very very thin hair with quite a few bald patches.
Rosemary oil massaged into the scalp every night before bed works wonders for hair regrowth. You honestly can’t see it as much as you think though Sierra ❣️
I NEEDED this conversation ❤❤ I had my first 9/4/21 and my second 2/1/24 so it’s been so amazing to do pregnancy/postpartum around the same time as you because I know I’m not alone! I’ve been losing so much hair and I have the same little bald spots and I’ve been soooo self conscious lately! Postpartum is so hard sometimes 🥲
My hair is thinning and turning grey, so when the roots come in, it's almost see-through and against dark hair on the rest of my head, makes me look almost bald in spots. I've been using this powder - Elevate Hair Line Powder - LOVE it! Quick tap of the little sponge and it looks filled in. It was only 15 bucks on Amazon. 🙂
I found it funny about the CrowdStike issue as I too work in IT and as I was going to my WFH office my husband was like are you up because of the CrowdStrike issue 😂 it was a crazy busy weekend.
Sierra, I don't think you should worry about that thinning hair AT ALL. Some people have naturally thin hair there and I don't think anyone notices! You deserve to be as CAREFREE as possible 😊
I was the first in my group of friends to have a baby and I was SHOCKED at the hair loss. How no one had ever told me is insane to me. I told all my friends and they were equally SHOCKED.
Also work in software. So glad we are all Apple. And I might have uttered the words “listen, this is bad… but boy! Am I happy I am not working for Crowdstrike rn”😅 Can you imagine 😅😅
Hello!! Excited for another Sierra vlog. I always enjoy your content...I'm also a mom of 2 girls, so I kinda relate. Anyway.... appreciate your fun and honest videos. 🤩
Would love any new to two mom product recs! Review of what you're using that's different (like the diaper bag hot take). Also would love to know what carrier that is- thanks!
The hair loss is called Telogen Effluvium. It’s hair loss due to a traumatic event and it’s frustrating! I’ve never had a baby but I’ve had surgery and other things my hair follicles deem traumatic. The event causes your hair to prematurely enter the last phase, which is the phase before it falls out. That phase normally last about 3 months so that is why it peaks around 3 months after the “event”. It’s very frustrating as thee is nothing you can do about it. The phase was started months ago. I do stuff to help the new hair grow in strong and hopefully quicker. Rosemary, Thyme, Cedar wood, Lavender, and Tea Tree oils are great. Add them to your shampoo and make a scalp spray with some water and a carrier oil like Avocado or Almond. People say “it’s no big deal, I wouldn’t notice if you didn’t point it out.” Or “it’s just temporary, it will grow back.” I notice… (speaking for me about me) and I love my hair. The rational part of me knows it will grow back but it takes time… and during that time there will be so much frizz. We are allowed to be bothered by it. On a lighter note. You guys are wonderful parents. Such a beautiful family
I have a great tip for growing more hair after hair loss! I lost a lot of weight and I started losing some of my hair because of it. I had no idea that was a side effect. I started putting rosemary oil in my hair and it grew to be so much longer and thicker. Try it for a few months and I think you’ll see a difference!
I had hair loss from anemia during pregnancy and then postpartum hair loss too, and felt super self-conscious. Kind of still do as the new hair is growing in curly and I don’t quite know how to deal with it…
I wouldn't have noticed the spots unless you pointed them out but I understand that it is hard to not feel self conscious when it's your hair. When I was pregnant with my first all my new hair growth was really dark for some reason and then after having my son it went really light so I had this really obvious stripe as my hair grew out. I hated it 😂
My postpartum hair loss also created those bald spots on the side of my head. After 2 years they are barely 1 inch long now and curl all silly and into "" devil horns"" ..
I swear by the Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil and the Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density by the Ordinary for hair regrowth!!! Around 2021, I had some health issues and lost quite a bit of hair volume during that time. I used both these oils for about 3 months each and had to stop because my hair was almost too thick and heavy!!! There are a few spots I wish would have come back a little more evenly, but that’s just on my hair and genetics probably lol!! I highly recommend for anyone dealing with hair loss and needing a good option to stimulate regrowth naturally!!
Is Grace potty trained? Would love to know your thoughts on approaching this if she isn't, currently in the midst of potty training my son and would love to hear other people's perspectives
Basically the day my little girl turned 4 months I got hit by pp hair loss like a truck. She’s 9 months now and it’s majorly regrowing which is so fantastic and I’m not complaining but now I have tons of short new growth at my hairline and it truly looks so crazy 😂
I will say though even though I had been warned about the hair loss and knew it would grow back and be fine, it is a terrible feeling washing your hair and seeing it come out in clumps. My heart goes out to you and any other moms dealing with this! So hard to feel like yourself with so many small things stacked against you.
I think if the hairbands make you feel good then they fit with every outfit ❤ The sound on some of the clips was so sharp I had to turn the sound of 🫣 is it just me..
“Guys! I have some exciting news!” SHE IS SO ADORABLE
she 100% learned that from sierra talking to the internet lol. can't decide if that's cute or sad...
when was this???
Honestly I wouldn’t have noticed the hair loss spots unless you had pointed them out!
Right she still has a lot of hair. There are people that lose half their hair or more postpartum.
Same! Also, those spots on my head have never ever had hair, they are always “bald” for me😂
I love that Stephen is bracing for a hellacious day and Sierra is ‘bye I’m going to the beach’😂😂
I was flying home that day. From SoCal to Sacramento. I was scared I wouldn’t get home. But luckily the airports I needed had minimal issues and I flew southwest 😂

Grace having alone time is everything 😭

Graces giggles at 9:52🥰
Little Gracie talking to the camera, how adorable ❤❤
Grace loving outside is the most fun, adorable thing. Nature will always have that girls back

You can also put a little brown eyeshadow on the thinned out spots if it’s bugging you
My heart is just melting on seeing Grace & Alice grow. You guys are incredible parents & give the girls such incredible experiences 🥹🥰
That Gracey is so well spoken and so knowledgeable on things it’s insane. What a beautiful little soul. And she’s sooooo cute! ❤
I really admire your parenting style and the way you speak to Grace and include her in everything ❤️ love your vlogs so much!
It’s always a good day when Sierra uploads a new vlog 🩵
Ohhhh you've got a future little vlogger right there!! Grace is so mature for her age. I love to hear her speak!
Not me with a hairline like that all the time 😂 I know it's weird to see something totally new and unfamiliar in the mirror though!

Thank you for sharing! I had terrible post partum hair loss and now I have the “wings”!!
Grace is so adorable but also I love the new style of thumbnail ❤

wait! we need an update, did stephen have to do a lot of IT work bc of the crowdstrike issue?
Your hair looks beautiful....it always does. I wish I had your hair!
I was the first in my group of friends to have a baby and I was SHOCKED at the hair loss. How no one had ever told me is insane to me. I told all my friends and they were equally SHOCKED.
I really embraced my postpartum hair. Baby hairs are so cute!

I'm 64: and losing hair. I feel you, Sierra. Love your beach hat!
Would love any new to two mom product recs! Review of what you're using that's different (like the diaper bag hot take). Also would love to know what carrier that is- thanks!

Stephen- “cloud strike!” “Absolute IT disaster!!!” “Mega fire!!!!” “I’m screwed!!”
Sierra- “well I’m going to the beach!” 😂😂
Opened youtube on my lunch and I don't think I've ever been this early to a sierra video
sierra!! this thumbnail was so cute
I never lost hair after my kids it was the perimenopausal hair loss that got me.
I'm staying tuned for how to style the little regrowth of pp hair. I've got these inch stands on either side now...weee

Love your videos 🩷 i noticed that you talked about bella but not bruiser?! Is she doing okay?? did I miss something?? I love those sweet babies🐶😭🫶🏻
I was wondering about that too. Maybe Bruiser just doesn’t enjoy walks?
Listen- I'm 100% waiting for a Grace vlog like we get Stephen vlogs!
I was wondering if you could link the carrier!! I love that it held Grace and Alice both! 😊
Aw I’m bummed when the vlogs are so short

With my second kid my hair came out in handfulls! I can relate to how you're feeling! It scared me to death!
My postpartum hair loss also created those bald spots on the side of my head. After 2 years they are barely 1 inch long now and curl all silly and into "" devil horns"" ..
Great vlogg❤❤
Use Vegamour Gro! It's a hair growth serum and is sold at Sephora. Life changing!!
Are you able to link your beach bag?
What carrier were you rocking Alice in??
Oh man Stephen, the CrowdStrike thing was disastrous! Like you said, don't push code on a Friday! 💀
Very random question, but what is the music called that you use in the montages? My 2 year old is eating it up 😂

I love the way you guys don't seem to do baby talk with grace. Shes soooo well spoken for a 3 year old, oh my goodness.
girlll my postpartum hair loss is sooo bad too 😔
One hour ago posted…. That’s criminal to be so early 😭😂
Look up the baby blues postpartum hair vitamins! Completely thickened up my edges and hairline. (has biotin and collagen etc). They are amazing!
Is Grace potty trained? Would love to know your thoughts on approaching this if she isn't, currently in the midst of potty training my son and would love to hear other people's perspectives
Whats the word Sierra keeps using for the situation at her grandma? I'm a non-native speaker and I don't get it 🙈
Timeshares are vacation homes that you share with other people. I think you get a week out of the year assigned to you.
@@meganmcarthur899 Ohhh okay now it makes sense haha, thank you so much!
I have barely any hair on those spots on my head naturally if that makes you feel any better 😂
I can sympathize with the hair loss but mine is menopause related. It is so disconcerting!
Wearing your hair in pony tails puts tension on the hair, that will make it fall out too.
I loveeeee youuuuuuu ❤
Watch out Grace is about to have her own vlog channel 😂she’s got so much to chat about! Just like mom 😊
Basically the day my little girl turned 4 months I got hit by pp hair loss like a truck. She’s 9 months now and it’s majorly regrowing which is so fantastic and I’m not complaining but now I have tons of short new growth at my hairline and it truly looks so crazy 😂

Oh no poor Stephen and the Crowdstrike thing
Womens rogaine foam grew my pp hair loss twice!
Vitamin D and B12 will help with the hair regrowth or minoxidil
Grace in the carrier 🥹
So weird I had the exact opposite where my hair fell out like crazy when I was pregnant & then postpartum it grew like a weed 😅😂
❤
Have u and Steven ever tried playing pickleball?! 🏓😃
I think she has played it with her family in past vlogs.
That bikini looks fabulous on you ❤️🩷
Ugh I have the SAME spots from post partum hairloss. It sucks 🥲
I think if the hairbands make you feel good then they fit with every outfit ❤
The sound on some of the clips was so sharp I had to turn the sound of 🫣 is it just me..
