Ahhh thank you so much! Spoiler alert: I’m already almost out of space🤦🏼♀️ guess I should’ve done two pages because I obviously can’t control my book buying😅
I think advanced degrees in the sciences are difficult - I left my biology program and it took years to be ok with that decision and not feel like a failure, even though it wasn't the right program for me and definitely pushed me into depression that took a long time to come out the other side. Also, I feel like we all have seasons with our hobbies. I go through times when I knit a lot, and times where I won't pick it up for a while, but it's still there when I'm ready to come back to it!
Great video... really loved your discussion of adhd. Yes I've had all of those feelings and have handicapped myself so much. It's good to not feel alone. Your journal is great. 😊
I really related to everything you said about ADHD. I only got back into reading since childhood recently and I’m loving it but it took a lot of dedication. Sometimes hobbies feel so stressful with adhd.
@@Toribell1928 they ABSOLUTELY do! It has helped me so much lately to allow myself to just enjoy one or two hobbies at a time and not feel bad about myself if I go a “long time” without doing a certain hobby.
Just found your channel and you only have 115 subs?!? I was sure you were a big channel lol. Love your vibes and the way you do your videos, and as someone who has ADD I love the rambles and random topics (and the kitties popping up too) I find it very soothing to have in the background while I work on whatever project so I very much look forward to future videos! Definitely just became a favorite channel of mine
@@Atlas_Reid 😦 WOW. You have no idea how much this comment means to me!!! This made my whole night to read, thank you so so much❤️ that is EXACTLY how I watch journal videos too, so I’m so glad you’re doing that with mine🥹 I can’t wait to get the next one up and see what you think!!
Hello! I’m a new subscriber because I relate to a lot of your comments! I’m in STEM too (I did my PhD in Veterinary vaccine immunology). I used to try to keep my bullet journal in a very structured way, but also have AuDHD so the inconsistency and perfectionism with those set ups was very real for me too - if I was busy & didn’t fill it out for a week the rest of the month was essentially ’ruined’ because it was all set up but blank. I set up a reading journal this year (I set up one for the jubilee reading challenge, but that is for a big list of pre-defined books, most of them I haven’t read yet!)
@@sophiahodgson85 Welcome!!! Yessss! It’s so nice to know that others relate to me on this. It has helped me so much with my regular bullet journal to draw empty boxes and only fill them in as I need (this week I even filled in boxes by “types of tasks” instead of days of the week. It’s just what my brain needed) and if one spread lasts me three weeks or something, then so be it🤷🏼♀️ good luck with your reading journal/challenge!! I love having a nice long list of books I want to read (even if I scrap the list later, it’s still fun)🥰
hello from a fellow ADHDer, I recognize what you've talked about and I love your style 🖤 you got a new sub from me, can't wait to see your next spreads 📖
Can’t wait to see your journal and videos develop
Aw thank you so much! I’m happy to have you here!!
@@Carli_is_ReadingI’m starting to plan my 2025 journal and can’t wait
That is a great idea using the blank books on shelf to track your purchased books instead of books read. I really like that concept!😊
