I feel you on the whole drawing thing! I'm ok at drawing, like better than the average person I suppose but definitely not talented enough to make any money from it. I much prefer collaging and using stickers and embellishments to play around with different elements and make a page pop 👏 I'm starting a Masters degree in art psychotherapy at the end of September and I'm really hoping that I don't have to do much drawing 😅 If they ask me to draw a portrait or paint a landscape then I'm in trouble haha. Loved the video and I've just subscribed 😊 Looking forward to the next one!

Have you ever considered giving half star ratings? I didn’t start doing it until part way through this year, and honestly it’s a game changer for those books that that you don’t really want to give a four (or whatever full star rating), but you also feel like it shouldn’t be a three. It works really well for me in situations like what you described with 11/22/63, where you recognize that the writing is excellent but the story/character vibes aren’t hitting as high for you personally.
Great point!! I have definitely thought about this option and I even have a couple books notated on my phone as half star ratings. But the ones from earlier in the year, I’m going off of my Goodreads ratings and I honestly forget how I felt about the book until I go through and make my video and only then do I realize maybe the rating should have been lower😅 I think you’re totally right that I should start incorporating half stars from now on, though, I’m glad to know it was a game changer for you! It seems like it would get rid of that back and forth feeling I keep having!

What do you use to print your book covers?
I use an Epson 8500 EcoTank printer, Matte White Sticker Paper from OnlineLabels, and the Silhouette Studio Software to arrange and resize the images!
