Hi Kate, thank you so much for this video. I'd like to thank you very much as well because I started my first reading journal this year thanks to you. Watching your 2024 video, all the "imperfections", the fact that everything doesn't need to be perfect, it helped me so much. So thanks for doing this again this year and thank you for being my inspiration for my 2024's reading journal
1. love your narration tangents, and all the back and forth changes in your designs…I feel seen. 2. Quicksilver is also on my TBR, and I just recently found out that Netflix had already announced they will be doing a TV (or film?) adaptation of this series, so that’s exciting. 3. like and subscribed. 🫶🏻
FOR YOUR ROMANTASY READS: when the moon hatched was so beautifully written, i loved it. i ended up reading the authors other books series 'to bleed a crystal bloom", which is a dark rapunzel retelling and also very good. its not finished, but does have three books out right now versus when the moon hatched, which only has one. the second book, "the ballad of falling dragons" i believe its called, is coming out 2025. the book of azreal was also incredible, the FMC Dianna is incredibly strong and shes the morally gray one of the two. Samkiel, the MMC is such a sweet heart, but also is so protective with Dianna. i loved that series SOOO much, but again, its unfinished. Quicksilver, i had a hard time getting into it, but when i did, i couldnt put it down. i ended up loving it, as did most other people. it is really such a great book, with some witty banter, and a great romance story, and the plot was great too. its going to have you on the edge of your seat, and aching for more of the story. and finally, the seroent and the wings of night. it looks like you have book two on there, and those are great reads. i loved them, and read both in a day, however, the author has a finished trilogy out, that i just got done reading, and i loved every second of it. its called the war of lost hearts trilogy, and starts with the book "daughter of no worlds". i highly HIGHLY recommend, it really was just so good. the world building, the political intrigue, the magic system, the romance, the friendships... i mean it really was such a beautiful series. also, i just finsihed a touch of gold and madness, which is on kindle unlimited. i literally just finsihed it like two hours ago. its another great romantasy read that i have seen soooo many people talking about and recommending, and for very good reason. if you have time or are interested, check that one out as well! i loved it, and it has plot twists as well, which is one of my favorite things while reading.
ugh i somehow forgot phantasma, that was also such a great book. i loved the characters sooo much, it was such an intriguing read, it kept me on my toes, had me thinking the whole time... i loved it. i want more of tha characters so much, the next book enchantra is about the FMCs sister. i wanted more of the main characters of phantasma though, i really did end up falling in love with them. i think it would make such an excellent book club pick!!
@@libraryofkate i suggest a sumo grip mechanical pencil and some lead for it in the pencil grade you want. They come in .05, .07, and .09 lead sizes. It's been the best pencil I've ever used. So if you use a smaller lead size, in a lighter grade, and a kneaded eraser your lines should basically disappear.
Love your work.. I hope you don’t mind me saying but some of the background music when you we’re doing the voice over was a bit loud and distracting…. ( not when you we’re doing the index, that was lovely) You are enough… we enjoy what you have to say x
It's really refreshing to see a creator be like ...nope I hate this! and start over on camera.
Hahahaha! It honestly is something we need to see more off.
@@libraryofkate Totally ! Thank you so much !
I enjoy watching these so much 😭🤍
Yay!!! I enjoy making them. They honestly are the easiest thing for me to make. I’m itching to do February already!

Lovely journal. 📚☕❄️⛄🍷
Thanks so much! I hope you have some great reads!
Yah I read one genre at a time. Have 14 YA books to read in my collection. Then onto Cozy Mysteries next. 📚☕☃️❄️
Love this idea. Hope you enjoy them :)
Love the images and look forward to the book club!

I'm definitely going to have to go and check it out now. I honestly can't wait to read 'when the moon hatched'.
OMG yes!!! I have to see if I can get a hard cover copy. Hope you can join the book club :)
Look into charcoal pencils. Different harnesses of the lead effects how dark they show up. You could try one that goes down lighter
Thank you! I will have a look in to them and see what I can find.
Very gorgeous
Thank you! I love this setup too 😊
I call it SCRAPBOOK JOURNALING ❤😂
Yes!!! Pretty much is, isn’t it?
Use a kneaded eraser. For making the pencil markings lighter. Or a lighter pencil instead of a hb.
Oh good tip! I need to get myself a kneaded eraser and light pencil!

What pen do you use with the stamps? is it just a brush marker?
Yes, just a cheap black brush pen. I think it got it from typo in Australia. I want to get a tombo soon.

when the moon hatched is so good. But I wouldn’t recommend the audiobook. It’s dual pov and the guy’s narrator is not it😢
Oh no!!! That sucks! I was hoping to listen to it, but looks like it’s the old fashion way for me…
