Hi As little kid I watched this show on our old Black and White TV,(in early of 70's the TV was new! :D) really I have no full memory of the episodes and the music itself, :( After hear this album, the only thing I can say is: ¡Awesome! Very nice pressing, Great sound! Best!
Thanks for your comments! This is actually music from the recent recent feature film, not the the old TV series. And I watched that too as a kid. I even had an U.N.C.L.E. membership card!
Thanks! The cartridge was a great eBay purchase - from the days when Yamaha were really into vinyl. The MC-1's claim to fame is its cantilever made of a tapered beryllium tube. It was also available without the integrated headshell, but I think this version looks, as well as sounds, pretty cool.
Thanks for your comment. I saw the film after getting this record and it wasn't good! As a boy I had an U.N.C.L.E. identity card so I was well versed in how a film should go ;o) If you don't mind I'll link this to your Soundtrack video th-cam.com/video/dtTD99v-oEI/w-d-xo.html
The film was only released in 2015. I don't know if there are any other vinyl versions, but this one is from Music-On-Vinyl in their "At The Movies" series.
There is an alternate link for the video in the description, should you need it ;o)

Yes, i grabbed a copy of this album in green marble, and a yamaha mc1X (NIB) and a Yamaha MC1S too. love it!
Well done on sourcing the cartridges and the record! Enjoy!
Got to play this record again soon. Very good stuff 🎉😂❤❤❤
Sounds superb, love it! 👍🏼
Thank you! If you check out my blog there are video links about the music and of Dave Heath the heroic flute player.
Great movie with a great soundtrack.I have it on cd but after this video I will be getting it on vinyl.
Some good elements from Ennio Morricone, Pat Williams and John Barry in this track :-) Love it
WOW! I love this O.S.T.
Thanx man!
Glad you like it!
Die Töne aller Instrumente sind präzis aufgenommen und perfekt reproduziert. Echt cool!
Fantastic, just bought mine from Juno records.
Daniel Pemberton did a fantastic job!
He certainly did! I think the music's better than the film in many ways ;o)
nice sound!!! interesting cartridge!

it sure looks and sounds great, plus you can never have too many phono cartridges :)
This is such a fantastic soundtrack, reviving many of the recording techniques of the 60s. (Pity the film was such a mess!)

@@MusicAndVinyl Feel free! I spent a very happy evening listening to most of your soundtrack transcriptions. Fun to see the vintage equipment too.
Superbe son 👌
perfect !!!
Sounds great once again Bob. Never heard this album before, really like it. Which pressing is this, looks new is it a recent reissue?
The film was only released in 2015. I don't know if there are any other vinyl versions, but this one is from Music-On-Vinyl in their "At The Movies" series.
Gotcha. I see only two copies of this green marbled version for sale on Discogs, the cheapest being $150!
This was a limited edition, I think - which would explain the price!
Makes sense. Do you know if it's AAA? I couldn't stomach paying that much for digital sourced, even though it does sound very good in your clip.
I doubt if it is AAA. Have a look at this little feature about the music - th-cam.com/video/T8HH_DiRNBU/w-d-xo.html I found it quite interesting . . .
The funny thing is this was probably recorded and mastered digitally before being converted to analogue. Does anyone know?
hell yeah!
So you like this? Lol!
