Yessirrrr! I have been wondering about a J series RD1 few years ago there was a dude who had a turbo j32 DC2 integra that would run everybody's pockets at the local scenes
Are you still happy with the Delphi lower control arms on the gen1 CRV? Ball joint didn't fail but lost control maybe sheered inner tie rod and struck a large rock on a retaining wall bending the passenger side lower control arm and taco the steel wheel and new BFG atko2, I'm worried frame might be damaged but I figured switch to salvage title and bolt in lower control arm, and inner outer tie rod, hope for the best.
@hondaresource awesome, thanks 👍! I'm going to reuse the knuckle add new bearing and roll the dice with new upper and lower control arms, hope the frame isn't bent
Man my dream RD1 is to k24a2 swap it. Got a 98 going to start getting parts soon. Thanks for your videos on how to swap it! Lol mine is silver on truhart coilovers. 16inch maxima 5 stars painted black. Gotta get tint done soon. That J32 swap is gonna be 🔥
I've never done it, but there is quite a few differences. The rear subframe doesn't have a place to mount the rear differential. The shift cable is different. The engine harness and ecu will work without having to change them.
Can’t wait to start seeing the process on the j32 I’ve been wanting to do it to my lifted crv forever now
@@drivefasttakechances9645 it’ll probably be April before I get started on swapping it
While you were building up the anticipation of the swap i was hoping so hard it was gonna be a J series.
Heck yeah!
Hell yeah on the J series swap. If you need any pointers as far as axles and wiring let me know. I've done this swap twice now.
Axles should be same as my k swap since I’m using a k trans.
@@hondaresource Possibly? Unless the engine itself positions the transmission differently. Also you can use the stock ecu.
If you want your new RD1 to be sleek, I think it would look good with a spare tire delete. If you have room for it in the rear
I don’t really like the look of the spare delete without doing the Jdm tailgate and bumper
@@hondaresourcego JDM 😂

Zero issues with them.

Love the yeeter! 🤙 Please make videos on swapping rear glass and restoring trims! Mine are as bad as yours and would love to redo at home.
There is a video of me restoring yeeters bumpers on my channel
@ I’ll check for it. How about swapping rear glass?
Just ordered some adapters for mine I'm trying to run 5×120 wheels . Hope it works .
@@damiangoldchain8526 nice, I’ve seen that done on other Hondas
I knew it! J series! It’s going to be sweet.

No fn way, cant wait to see this. I havnt even started my rd1 kswap.
What's the wheel and tire size? Did you have to make the fender arch bigger to accommodate the tire?
235/70/16. I had to do a little trimming to prevent rubbing.
I have a question how hard would it be to convert a Fwd RD1 to a real time all wheel drive RD1?
I've never done it, but there is quite a few differences. The rear subframe doesn't have a place to mount the rear differential. The shift cable is different. The engine harness and ecu will work without having to change them.
12k is super steep
Build one and report back
@hondaresource lmao dude, I'm just peanut butter and jealous
