Great information! I’ve debated getting one of these bags for a long time. You answered a lot of questions I’ve had. Thanks! 🤙🏼

Awesome back story with these bags! Seems rock solid too! We’ve been getting more into hiking, so this is a great recommendation! Lasting 8 years and longer makes it worth for the price!

They are built to last and pricey but if it lasts a lifetime it's worth it however for just hiking you might find better options. Hiking specific bags might be a lighter and better set up to your needs. cheers!

I’ve had a GR26L “Slick” (no external molle) for years. Great work/travel bag. Looks good as new!

The slick ones were cool! These bags are very underrated.

Great review. It'd be cool to see a review on your punching bags and how you schedule them with strength training.

Boxing “typically” is weds/sat as a cardio day no lifting on those days. I have a short review on them coming soon. Cheers🤙🏼

@@MacStrengthCo Thanks. Curious because I'm thinking about adding it into what I do.

It's a great cardio alternative for sure.

Great review. They should bring back those side straps to make it collapsible. Thinking about getting a gr2 34L….

Best bags ever made. I have a generation 1 on a few of em. Check out the bull-it 15. It’s a great everyday bag.

Hmm, Jack Barley seems to be scrubbed from GoRuck history. He was a co-founder and main designer.

That's a great point. What's up with that? I feel I should have mentioned something.

How is it after 10 years now? 😁

I've had mine for almost 14 years, the original GR2 (1st Gen ever made); some stitching in areas of internal pockets around the zipper is coming loose/fraying, the waxed coating of the lining on the Cordura is becoming sticky/smelly. Also the "Goruck" brand insignia labels that are held on with glue is almost completely dissolved/come off. Not a big deal, other than that it's still solid bag. I don't think it'll last a lifetime though. My black GRTAC hat is completely frayed destroyed based on extreme UV sun where I live. Nothing lasts forever, but ~15 years is a good run for the materials used👍

I'm in south america and it's going strong. It will last my lifetime.

Did you get a chance to try out Bolt Equipment? If so what's your thoughts.

    • @MacStrengthCo
      @MacStrengthCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

They are a chinese reseller without much background so I'm hesitant to buy anything from them just yet. Unlike Rep or Rogue who have been around for 10+ years and have a proven track record of customer service and innovation. We are nearing a recession which will bankrupt many of the smaller fitness companies.

@@MacStrengthCo Ok thanks for the information I was just curious.

@@rogerbingman9370 Bolt fitness is 100% chinese made and basically is a shipping company that wholesales equipment much like Titan. They seem to have some nice stuff but most of it could be bought for cheaper off Alibaba directly.

@@rogerbingman9370 I’m not well versed on Fray Equipment. The website was always so terrible I just avoid it.
