    Wow one of the best overviews I’ve found on this bag
    Detail oriented, very thorough, and also focused . So many other overviews zip around and keep changing camera angles but you kept it focused on the bag and went through everything one by one.
    Amazing, subbed thank you

    Great bag. I finally was able get one recently. The front section with the additional pockets is really nice, as is the 500D material. With all that, the slender profile and minimal simplicity of the GR1 21l is perfect, when the extra space is not needed.

    • @dannypacks

    Great bag! I think I have finally found the perfect backpack for everyday carry, office use, and travel purposes. I'll get a GR2 Heritage. The GR2 Heritage's sleek and timeless design makes it suitable for any occasion. Its versatile aesthetic blends well with both casual and professional attire, making it a versatile choice for any setting.

    I think I’m leaning more towards the 500D variants of this bag due to the lower abrasiveness they’ll have on my clothes and polyester Patagonia jackets. I just wish they had a wolf grey or steel colorway available for the 500D variants.

    • @jonacanij
      @jonacanij 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would have preferred the 500D as well but it is dependent on the preferred color and not available in black.

    This is very coincidental, I’ve been researching this very bag for the last week, there aren’t very many recent reviews for the 26L GR2. Thanks for this (as always) detailed review it’s much appreciated. I think this is the PERFECT Goruck backpack. That second compartment and overall much better organization just sets it apart. I own two Goruck bags (10L and 15L) and plan on adding the 26L GR2 to my Goruck collection. And maybe later the 34L GR2 for longer travel only.

  • @JustFluxz

    The GR1 definitely wouldnt be big enough for travel for me based on how tight the main compartment felt in the 26L GR2 with the packing cubes, but now that I got a ULA Ultra Dragonfly I am considering selling my GR2 for a GR1 so that I have a slimmer for factor and may be more convenient for rucking. It is a tough call tbh and would miss the two tone look look of the Steel

  • @Oscarito_us
    @Oscarito_us 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The 34 is great for travel but just a tad bit to big for me for edc. Im thinking to send into scars for compression straps. I used it on a week long trip recently and never took it out while exploring since it felt bulky. I enjoy it though

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience with the bag! I agree the 34 feels a little big for day to day, sounds like a cool idea to add the compression straps to help with the size!

    Really helpful vid Danny! I'm considering this one and the GR126. Can the peak design medium and small packing cubes (assuming you have both, if not - ignore!) fit in this 26L pack? If so, what if you were to add a toiletry kit to it (such as the aer travel kit)? Thanks !!

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! And yes the main compartment can hold the medium and small peak design cubes and there’s still space in the other compartment for a Dopp kit :)

    Do you prefer this or aer travel pack 2 small?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you for watching and that’s a tough choice! I should lean towards the travel pack 2 small as it’s less expensive, more comfortable, has better weather resistance and some nice organizational options, but there’s something about the goruck aesthetic that always gets me (and the durability of the gr2 is second to none). So altho id be happy with either if I had to pick just one I’d have to lean towards the gr2 26:)

  • @rickderico356
    @rickderico356 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question: when you open up the main compartment it looks a bit flatter than the main compartment of the GR1 26l and 21l even. I would imagine that it's because the front compartment of the GR2 26l already counts as ca. 10 liters and hence its main compartment would amount to 16 liters?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching! This version of the gr2 does have a suspended laptop compartment, but there is no luggage passthrough to rest this on a suitcase. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer!:)

    • @dannypacks

      Thank you for watching and for the support! Although it’s not a huge difference I would say the tp3 small feels a bit taller and I was able to use this under the seat of a flight (although it can be a bit of a tight fit if I really pack it out 😅)

    So looking at a GR1 21L, a GR2 26L and the Aer Fit Pack... Wanting a good blend between work and gym and travel- Any thoughts are suggestions since you have owned all of these; or any honorable mentions? Thanks! = )

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching and good question! Depending on what you’re carrying they can all work pretty well. I think the aesthetic is a big factor whether you want a more tactical or minimal look, the gr1 and gr2 will also hold more than the fit pack 2 but I think the fit pack is more comfortable and weather resistant and it’s nice it has the separate shoe compartment. I would also recommend taking a look at aer duffel pack, aer travel pack 2 small, or the bellroy transit work pack :)

    Which pack hold more synik30 or gr2 26 in your opinion?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching and I think they can hold a pretty similar amount overall (with my packing style it feels like I might be able to get just slightly more into the gr2 but it’s really very close and since the pocket layouts are pretty different it may depend on what items you are trying to pack)
