  • Control voltage opens up the palette of a synthesizer far beyond what is possible when controlling only by hand. Understanding how control voltage works in the confines of a parameter you are controlling is key to its deliberate use. In this video we’ll demonstrate voltage range and polarity using the 0-Coast’s Multiply parameter.

I’m new to the modular scene, but I am super happy I picked this up as my first adventure into semi modular. I have an 0-ctrl arriving Wednesday to pair with it.
I am very excited to experiment with this little make noise “easel”
Thanks for all the tutorial videos you’ve posted, it really helps explore the fun gear you guys have created.
If I win the lottery, I’ll be snagging a shared system one day!

I am so tempted to buy that Make Noise 0 Coast to compliment my Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms System 201. I am saving up for a Make Noise System Concrete also. THANKS for these educational videos. LOVE them and you.

Fascinating. Is the wave multiplier on the DPO the same way, where it attenuates the signal and you can use it like a VCA?

Yes, but on the DPO Fold you can get there with the panel control alone, whereas in the 0-Coast you must apply negative control voltage.

Anyone now how I can safely pair this with my cocoquantus 2

You can patch the line out directly into Cocoquantus input with a TRS cable, this will put the 0-Coast's output into both Cocos. For cross-patching modulation, you would need a format jumbling device such as the Low Gain UTL. In my experience, Ciat Lonbarde and Eurorack modulation signals are tough to use together, plus it doubles the number of cables you are using for any given bit. However I know that some people do it a lot so it may well be worth trying! -W

Too many fancy terms thrown around too fast. It just becomes blah, blah, blah to me. This is probably easier to follow if you already have experience with the unit.

Yes, this video is not meant to sell the 0-Coast but rather to help 0-Coast owners get the maximum utility out of it.

yes, this video makes complete sense when you are a 0-coast owner, thanks for the tutorial .. helped me a lot

You guessed right! It was far more helpful after a week of experimenting and thinking about my results
